I have allergies and own a pet, so I am somewhat familiar with waterproof mattress covers. The rubbery "swimsuit" texture of other brands is significantly less comfortable than this one's top layer, which is soft and fluffy. It is unquestionably waterproof and is actually more effective than other brands in catching liquids because of the soft layer's ability to absorb moisture and stop puddles from forming. As a washing advice, set your machine on cold or, at most, warm and toss a random towel or blanket in there with the mattress cover to help wring out some of the extra water. The mattress cover is of excellent quality. On the last mattress, I made the error of delaying obtaining one, and let's just say some wine spilled and the mattress had a terrible stain. I returned to the store where I first purchased the mattress and spent almost $100 for one. It functioned, but the one I recently purchased on Amazon for half the price was manufactured with far higher quality materials. It was simple to set up, unpack, and wash on warm without bleach. On a Cal King, I completed it all by myself in 10 minutes. The zipper feels strong and functions well. This mattress cover has my endorsement. I'm not sure if it's waterproof or how well it will hold up over the next three to five years, but I can tell you that it's nicely crafted and simple to put on. The material could not have been stretched in any way to put it on, and it fit tightly. Stitching also appears to be robust. I'm delighted I chose this mattress cover after reading hundreds of reviews for various mattress covers.Update: After using it for a few months, my wife had an accident in the middle of the night. I'm not sure how to express this. The cover was effective. No drop on the brand-new mattress. My mattress and box spring are being protected in these plastic bags in phase 1 before being placed in a self-move container for a few months. The mattress and box spring were simple to fit into the suitcases. My bed is a queen-sized pillow-top mattress on both sides. The bag cover was around 15 inches deep, but the space is just 12 inches deep. The bags' generous size made it possible to close them completely with plenty of clear packing tape. There were no issues at all, and the bags' size was ideal.In a few months, phase two will involve removing the box spring and mattress that have been stored from their bags and storage container. Since nearly every reviewer appeared to have received the product for free in exchange for a "unbiased" evaluation, I was quite skeptic when I read all of the reviews for this product. I'm always dubious about this, but because it was so cheap, I figured I'd try it. For approximately a week, I even saved the parcel in case I decided to send it back. I was surprised to find that I was sleeping on a mattress pad without even realizing it. This one does not wiggle about or sleep hot as some of them do. This has definitely changed how we feel about our memory foam mattress, which has a tendency to get warm when we sleep. Can't be beat, particularly for the price.

The cover seems to deliver on its promises, and I adore that it provides comprehensive coverage! It was simple to get over my mattress and the zippers are strong. The material seems like it could withstand sweat, water, and other fluids/spills, but I haven't had any spills so I can't vouch for its waterproofness. Due to the material chosen, there is a slight rustling sound when moving, however it is by no means bothersome (IMO).My only complaint is that my sheets move around after a night of sleep due to the slick texture. It would also fit a mattress that is significantly taller than mine, but it is neither excessively loose or bunched up, nor is it too tight and barely fitting. Perfect fit. My 120 pound doberman practically puked a lake on the bed when I returned from church today. I lifted the mattress pad to check its performance, and it was flawless! Naturally, both the mattress and the mattress pad's underside were dry. No transfer, no discoloration. This mattress protector has my highest recommendation. Since this is the first time I've washed it, I can't accurately gauge how durable it will be over time, but it definitely withstands liquid. As a side remark, it is soft, quiet, and almost like a thin terry cloth cover. For our king-size bed, I devoted a lot of time to researching water-resistant pads. We had a pricey mattress, so I wanted to be sure we were getting the right thing. In an effort to discover the ideal pad, I read all of the reviews with 1 and 2 stars for a range of pads. But guess what? There is no such thing as an ideal pad. I made the decision to get the SafeRest, and I'm so glad I did. I don't know where the customers who gave this pad 1 and 2 stars discovered the negative reviews, but I tried the pad after washing and drying it according to the directions to be sure there would be at least some leakage. There was no leaking 5 minutes after pouring a cup of water onto the pad over a big pan. I drained the extra water, dried the pad again, and set it on the mattress with complete confidence that my wife and I would be well protected. I am baffled, to put it mildly, that the product I received could be the same as that which was described in the 1 and 2 star reviews, as not a single one of the bad reviews even came close to describing the one I received. The pad was received exactly as described, down to the size, fit, lack of side protection, quietness, lack of a zipper, and other details.I used this pad in lieu of my five-year-old one because I think it will perform the same function for only a third of the cost. The size, materials, workmanship, and information provided online for the product are all accurate. great pad for the money.

It's a little loose on my usual king mattress, but I enjoy how quiet it is; there's no "plastic sound" or crunching sound when I roll over. I appreciate the material that was used for this mattress pad, however the seams were sewn unevenly and you can see where they covered a "gather" in the fabric, which prevents the Mattress Protector from lying flat as it should. When I brought my puppy into the bed for the first time, I wasn't exactly sure what to expect from a mattress protector that promises to be waterproof yet breathable, but I did know I had to have the waterproof protection. I purchased this item last year, and since then, I've experienced a few mishaps. The first incident happened the night the puppy was first introduced to our tempurpedic bed, as indicated above. In the early hours of the morning, she only passed a small volume of urine. To my delight, nothing made it past the protector. Naturally, all of the bedding was washed, and I'm pleased to report that there were no stains. Even though this protector had been washed numerous times as one would anticipate with typical use, I was concerned the backing may have deteriorated somewhat when it was on our brand-new mattress almost a full year later. She had a major mishap. Again, there was no staining or penetration of the protection. Since the backing is soft, it doesn't make a loud noise, and we haven't seen any increased heat retention, it appears that this is at least partially breathable. Even though my dog doesn't have many accidents, having washed this normally, I'm amazed at how well it has held up. I'm buying a backup because I'm so impressed. Knowing when it is filmed is my one genuine worry with this. Although the product is of high quality and has good structure, nothing lasts forever. I strongly advise!
