The Nice: I've used this 4D Silk Fiber Lash Mascara three times and I think it's very good. It is noticeably better than my typical drugstore "volumizing" mascara and it gives my extremely short lashes a longer, more apparent appearance while still not being particularly remarkable. To avoid having your lashes look like a spider or tarantula, apply in slow, extremely thin strokes. I cried the first time I used it, and yes, it was waterproof and lasted all day at work! (I used it solely on my upper lashes)The CON: I use baby oil to remove my mascara every day, but with time, it became quite gritty and felt like tiny crumbs that might get into your eyes. I had to use eye drops or tears to flush them out so that they felt cleaner.The stuff is really wet and might easily get messy, but I can live with that as it's new to me and will take some getting used to. Finally, the good news is that the chubby, rubber, bigger brush takes some getting used to.NOTE: Although my upper lashes appeared longer, they started to look quite thick, and that's NOT nice, so I chose to apply my regular mascara on them to avoid looking like "Raggedy Ann."I like this mascara overall, though I'm not sure it's worth the $18 price tag. Nonetheless, I'm glad I gave it a try. I'm not sure if I will place another order, though. If you are on the fence about this new, "gimmicky," mascara, hopefully this review will be useful.UPDATE: (one week later) After a hard day, I wore this mascara into the shower. It looked wonderful outside the shower, but chunky pieces dropped off and smudged all beneath my eyes when my face struck the water. If you intend to wash your face and get ready for bed, that's OK. I'll start by stating that I am a complete mascara snob and will not leave the house without it. Since I've been using LancĂ´me for more than 20 years, every time I tried the "next best" mascara, I was so let down.I read several reviews and found it difficult to believe that THIS product could be so fantastic. A decent mascara was what I anticipated, but nothing extraordinary. I was so mistaken! I tried it for the first time, and my lashes looked fantastic! Many mascaras, including my favorite LancĂ´me, clump my long, extremely thick lashes together. The ones that do not clump appear to have no discernible effects.THIS mascara has the ideal level of thickness in addition to providing flawless coverage from root to tip. NO CLUMPING OCCURS! Simply because I notice that my under-eye mascara wears off as the day goes on, I choose to put it over my LancĂ´me primer. When I don't have mascara, the lashes still appear long, thick, and defined.And it is unquestionably the best cosmetic item I have ever used! It took me a few tries before I felt confident using the brush, but wiping the very tip is crucial to preventing a random blob from appearing on my lid. I'll admit that after using various brushes for so long, I accidentally poked my eye out with the new brush the first time I used it.I've also usually used waterproof mascara because it lasts longer in heat and humidity, but this one has incredible staying power. I frequently forget to take my makeup off before bed, but this is still looking wonderful when I wake up and is simple to remove with my go-to facial cleanser. My need for eye makeup removal has not arisen.The best buy I have made in a very long time was by far this one. I made the decision to use this product after viewing some eye-catching before-and-after photo reviews. Given the pricing range and after weighing the advantages and cons, it's an excellent mascara.The fact that this product applies very thick and moist is one of its drawbacks. My eyelashes are less likely to brush against my top lids when I apply them if I lean my head back and stare down at my mirror. In order to prevent it from smearing all over the lid, I keep this posture for about 30 seconds to let it dry slightly before moving on to the next eye. I have lengthy lashes, so possibly others won't experience this problem.Instead of returning to reapply once it dries, you can build up a significant amount of product in one round of application. Although a little clumpy, it is by no means a "spider legs" look. With a little practice, you can perfect an application method and it looks beautiful. I should say that when I initially tried this mascara, I absolutely hated it since it was way too wet and seemed to simply clump everything together. But as I'm sure others have seen, the way mascara applies on the first day is typically not a genuine evaluation of its intended impact.Anyone should give it a try at this price because you'll probably either adore it or think it's at least passable. Even though I admit it was a bit of a curiosity purchase, I am impressed, and I would probably buy this again.

As a result, this product is thicker and almost clumpy than I anticipated. For me, it clumps a lot if I don't wipe my face or rinse my eyelashes before using. The wand's operation is also strange. The first few times I used this mascara, I was on the verge of throwing it out, but it works nicely once I get the hang of it. To get a beautiful curve, I actually need to ROLL the wand as I apply it while slowly blinking.I can apply one application to each eye and nearly instantly apply another because it dries quickly. Washing my face and eyelashes helps me get rid of any stray accumulation. Roll up the wand's longer bristles gently to softly coat my lashes. A swipe or two of that, followed by a swipe on the shorter side to add color close to the tips. To thin down or flare the ends, give the longest bristles one last, light swipe. Repeat with the opposite eye. When applying the second coat, I softly brush my lashes with the wand's longest bristles to slightly thicken the appearance and darken the bases of my lashes (light brown lashes here).It is simple to remove with soap and water in the shower and does not bleed excessively from normal wear, sweating, or occasionally accidently scratching my eyes. Even though it was a novel formula for me and felt a little strange to apply at first, it didn't irritate me after the first few minutes. There is absolutely no irritation after a week or two of irregular use.I'm not sure if I'll buy this particular brand again; I actually like my other Maybelline line (colosses, I believe?). The large yellow tube bearing purple letters, ha!

For my lashes to stand out, I need mascara. And I really do believe that this lengthens your lashes. I'm not going to join the false eyelash craze. It sounds like a hassle, to be honest. I don't believe I require them. Not with L'OrĂŠal Voluminous Original Mascara, at least.I recently came across this mascara again. I wore it when I was a young adult but somehow forgot the brand. Never once more! When I wear it, I get compliments. I even get inquiries about the origin of my eyelashes.Criticisms? It may occasionally come out of the bottle a little runny. In the restroom, I merely keep a roll of paper towels. When it does appear gloppy, I first delicately wipe off any excess with a paper towel. Just like that. Otherwise, everything is perfect. The only other drawback is how difficult it is to remove this mascara. Without rubbing your eyes too hard, a simple facial wipe might not be sufficient. You shouldn't rub your eyes, take it from someone your age. You get sagging eyelids and under-eye bags as a result. Make sure you have eye makeup remover (I either use a cream-based one or an organic liquid I found) and facial tissues (I highly recommend the Vitamin C wipes from Amazon). Just keep in mind to moisturize your skin after removing your makeup. Apply the moisturizer and eye cream before going to bed. Your face will appreciate you as you age if you follow that advice and avoid the sun without using sunscreen. And using this mascara can make you appear even better for years to come! I have tried a LOT of "non harmful" mascaras because I am a green beauty enthusiast. I've tried nearly every brand and design of mascara available at drug stores. Even a few pricey ones from department stores have I tried. This L'OrĂŠal mascara is without a doubt the greatest I've ever used, and as long as they keep making it, I won't try another! No clumps, makes them full with just one application, and doesn't flake even in today's 90Ă° temperatures after I ran around after my niece and nephew and sweat my butt off. I absolutely adore this material! I'm not sure how I've never come across it before. When I was looking for a new, inexpensive mascara, I literally just happened to stumble across it on Amazon, and BOOM! I assure you, it's love at first sight! Every 5-star review is accurate. This is the best stuff ever! Spending money on pricey mascara is a waste when this one right here can accomplish all of that and more for a far lower cost! Although I included some photos, they really don't do it credit. You won't have any regrets at all if you get this!

You should be aware of the fact that I love makeup right away. I explore a lot and buy a lot of things because I'm constantly looking for the HG of everything! I've therefore been using this mascara for a while. I've still bought different brands, from designer to drugstore, during this time, just in case there was a better option. For me, at least, there isn't. Sincerely, I adore this mascara. The tube tends to dry up fast, and the tip can be difficult to reach the corners of baby lashes. However, these drawbacks are insignificant in my opinion when I consider that it 1) applies smoothly without wild clumps. 2) it's buildable, so I can layer coats on top if I really want doll lashes and still look amazing. 3) My face isn't covered in flake. 4) Properly priced For the record, my lashes are scant and only somewhat long.
