I'm a big fan of automobile audio, and all three of my vehicles have systems. I don't usually buck the trend, so I always purchase Rockford products! For the past several years, Rockford amps have been used, and they all continue to thud nicely. After reading numerous reviews, I became uneasy about purchasing a Rockford shallow mount P3. After conducting extensive research, I kept running into Skar Audio, watched videos, etc. Finally, I gave up and bought 2 DVD D2 and a prefab box, which I did have to modify, to be honest ( very simple). I have an underseat box for an F-150 Supercrew, and my, do these things weigh a lot! I've been driving them for almost 5 months now, and people have literally pulled up next to me at stop lights to ask what I have in my truck. They also know when I drive into work, and my woman jumps into my truck whenever she gets the chance. These provide a terrific, low, deep bass hit. To obtain the perfect crossover, I did had to fiddle with it. Sub barely moves and shakes my entire truck with only about 300 watts per sub being pushed by a 500 watt Rockford primo mono (birth sheet 638) and not even halfway up! For overall quality, I keep my amp off, but if you want all eyes (and ears) on you, GET A PAIR NOW! You won't be dissatisfied! If you're out with the girls, put the volume down; if you're out with the guys, turn it up. Rockford amplifiers and Skar subwoofers will now be the ideal combination for me.

12/11/18 For Christmas, my daughter gave me a second one. I currently have it in my bespoke box being rolled in. Later, I'll create another box to fit both 8s. I don't see any competition at the pricing.First of all, 2-day normal delivery enabled me to receive the subscription! There's a lot there. The frame and mounting diameter are larger than a typical 8 and are the only reason I awarded it four stars. Oh, and it uses a lot of energy! It has a maximum power input of 300 watts but hasn't been used yet. It went above and beyond what I expected.

They were getting set to go to the electronics recycling facility because the original paper cones in them had worn foam and were cracking. The amps in the subwoofers were functioning well, and since I detest wasting things, I reasoned that these were worth a bet at this price. I was pleasantly delighted after installing the first one and tuning it. It sounded designed just for the enclosure. The bass was precise and tight. So I bought another one of the same model for my second sub, and it sounded just as fantastic.With these subs, I'm not trying to drown out the room. They are primarily used for listening to music. Therefore, accuracy is more important to me than boom. These have performed admirably. They prevented the disposal of two perfectly functional amps and enclosures and regularly used them.I'm quite happy with them.

My Samsung Note 4 Android phone connected to it with ease, and I was able to hear all of the audio on my phone, including screen taps, text message tones, ringtones, Spotify, Google Maps voice navigation, and more. The ASUS BT 400 dongle and a Windows 8.1 Pro PC will be used to test it soon. I will let you all know how it went as well if I am able to update my review in the future.Since this amp lacks an internal equalizer (referred to as an EQ from now on), you must have an EQ on the device you're using to broadcast audio (BT, 3.5mm, etc). I'm using Android 5.1.x, and it appears to have an equalization built in. However, I probably didn't look well enough to find the user interface where I could manage and alter the EQ. So I went to the Play App Store and saw a few options—some of which were free and others required payment to remove adverts. To test it out, I first downloaded "Equalizer FX (Free)"; it worked, and pretty well, I should add. Please take note that when you first try to enable the Equalizer FX EQ, you will be prompted to turn off the built-in EQ for Android. This is a single action. I bought for the ad-free version after making sure it essentially provided what I wanted because I detest advertisements! The one issue I've had with the app—which I can only attribute to this particular software and not the amp—is that when I use Google Maps Voice-guided Navigation and stream audio simultaneously, the EQ freaks out and the bass boost is turned up to what feels like the maximum. But once more, this is a problem with the software and not with the amplifier. Just a piece of advice for my fellow Android users who could be starting their hunt for setup instructions.Overall, I'm quite pleased with my purchase and would advise a friend who needed a BT amp to get one!
