This is the only toy you will ever need to buy for your children. This was given to my 2.5-year-old son for Christmas approximately a month ago. Even though he usually wakes up at 5 a.m. most days, we have yet to hear him say "I PLAY MARBLE RUN" in the first five minutes of being awake. Both my 33-year-old spouse and my 5.5-year-old daughter are equally fixated. They can play with this toy for HOURS on end, and THEY DO. There has never been a day without at least a couple of hours of marble run entertainment. There are days when I tell my son, "Nah, no marble run today!" but later find myself getting it out to play because it is just SO DARN FUN. I currently stay at home with him. Our 3.5-year-old received this for Christmas, and she literally spent 6 hours straight stuffing it with marbles. The marbles easily run through the track, and the pieces fit together rather tightly. A few setups have instructions given, but you can also use your creativity to create your own. The kit includes a number of "extra fun" components like spinners or bells, as well as one beginning point where marbles can be loaded and a button is pressed to allow each marble to pass. 20 marbles seemed like a lot at first; after all, how many are you likely to lose? But it seems that dropping one marble at a time is not what makes it fun. Sending down EVERY stone at once is what makes it enjoyable. For the majority of Christmas, our living room sounded like a marble rain stick as they all descended in unison. Time and time again. Less marbles than I had anticipated started rolling across our floor since they eventually accumulate. The marbles are all uniform in size, so if you did eventually lose the majority of them, replacements would be simple to come by.I gambled on this set without reviews because it was more affordable than most of the others for the quantity of components. It's of good quality, and there are plenty of pieces to keep a marble beginner occupied for a very long time. If we decide to grow in the future, I think it will also join up with any other "marbulous" sets.

I used to really enjoy playing puzzle games like Rush Hour and similar titles. To simply get the kids to think differently, use logic puzzle games that gradually get harder and are doable by all (or most) of the youngsters.But we kept dropping pieces, and I simply don't have any of them left.The challenge in Laser Maze is similar to that, but since it is larger, we should be able to keep track of it more easily. The main concept is to have a piece that generates a laser light as well as numerous parts with mirrors and angles. You arrange up the pieces according to the instructions on the cards, which sometimes specify exactly what direction each piece must face. Other times, you must determine the direction in which it must face. The card also specifies how many and which additional pieces you must place on the board. The next step is to arrange the parts such that when you click the laser button, the right target will be illuminated.At least on the easier levels, it is far simpler than that description suggests. As you progress to the more challenging stages, you must think carefully. especially for those of us with spatial difficulties like myself. When you have a solution, turn the card over to discover if you were correct. No one of us has, to date, discovered an alternative to the card's suggested answer.You are introduced to several component types as the challenge increases. The pieces' bases are color-coded, making it simple to identify which one is which.The storage is the only serious issue I have with it. Every tall piece fits into one of the little compartments in the box, which has a plastic liner that makes it possible to store all the parts safely. The laser piece should be placed in the compartment that is slightly deeper than the others. The laser component, however, merely sticks out a little bit and can fit into any of the other compartments.Which, if you're an 11-year-old, for example, isn't really visible. (The game is recommended for players 8 and older)The next person who plays with it will discover that the laser component requires a new battery if (again, hypothetically) you are 11 and you just randomly put the pieces back, close the box, and set it back on the game shelf. because the laser activator button was pulled down while being stored.Naturally, I'm speaking hypothetically.I greatly wish that either a) all of the little wells in the plastic were just a tiny bit deeper, making it irrelevant which component was placed where, or b) the location of the laser-piece was much more obviously marked, perhaps by coloring the plastic to match the different sorts of pieces.The good news is that we found out that the battery in the laser portion can be easily replaced and that it is a very typical watch battery. We don't have a lot of the different watch battery types here, but at least one of them was one we already have in the house.

I adore that all you need is your ideas and no batteries or technology! Although I got it for my six-year-old, my almost two-year-old enjoys it just as much! My sons play with this structure for hours at a time and rebuild it constantly. He carries it everywhere, so I bought a backpack to keep everything organized. My three-year-old granddaughter received some fantastic gifts for Christmas, and man, did I strike gold. Once more, this combination of learning resources is excellent. When I was a youngster, we had to create our own marble "tracks" out of shirt cardboard, present boxes, and anything else we could find, along with a lot of Scotch tape. My own children had Swedish wooden toys that were great, but I imagine they wouldn't be as wonderful on today's wood floors. You can set up foam tracks with magnetic backs on any vertical steel surface, such as the refrigerator, filing cabinets, and entry doors. If you want this to be kept in their bedroom, you can also purchase one of those magnetic noticeboards. Bright colors, no scratches, and the little child has pleasure while learning a few things. Since they develop so quickly, I prefer not to spend a lot of money on toys at this age. Learning Resources has several excellent toys available at very affordable costs. To increase the alternatives for this one, I have a second set waiting in my queue.Although it may sound like I'm promoting Learning Resources, I'm not. I'm simply a grandmother who is sick to death of all the garbage out there, which includes me. Finding decent toys that are well-made, allow children to use their imaginations while playing with them, are affordable, and allow for group play is a real issue. Every toy I've bought from LR thus far has been flawless and, best of all, has been used again. The actual learning happens in the early years, when she will come up with a new way to play with them when I believe she has outgrown them.

For our youngest's birthday, my wife decided that purchasing a marble set would be appropriate, and she included a random one. I studied the available options before making a purchase and found that this particular one seemed to be the best option based on a number of parameters.The glass and color of the marbles is the first thing to notice. Nice, normal-sized marbles that you're used to. I noticed that some other sets use miniature marbles or just contain plastic marbles (.43 inches or some such).The larger ones are far superior and are less likely to be dropped because they are so much easier to see. Glass items that are well-made roll much better.This set does contain around twice as many pieces as many other sets, and because they can fit full-sized marbles, they are larger and more manageable.The items themselves are of good quality. I have not discovered any points were the molding process left imperfections, sharp edges, etc. Children are able to take the components apart and keep rebuilding the tracks, despite the fact that the pieces fit together neatly and have sufficient friction to stay together well. The plastic feels sturdy and robust and has a fair thickness.The instructions feature 4 prepared sets that you may use with your child(ren) as a practice for following directions and presenting the set before they begin creating their own things.They certainly overdo the STEM references, but it's hard to blame them for utilizing the newest buzzwords, and to be fair, this is a really useful tool for teaching youngsters how to create and how things operate. My children are already learning new things and observing what works and what doesn't.Overall, I'm a little astonished that Amazon's supposedly top selling is 5 dollars cheaper yet only contains half the pieces! Simply put, this set is very well crafted and substantially less expensive than alternatives. Look for yourself, however I must say that I am pleased with this package. My guys played it nonstop the night it arrived.I just got it, so I can't speak to its durability yet, but based on the build quality and other factors, I think it will last in my home, which is not kind to its toys.To aid you, here are a few notes:First, there is only one drop hole in each section of the horizontal bridge, allowing the marble to cross. If stacking several of them, be sure to remember the location of the hole so the marbles fall back and forth rather than straight down.:-)Second, some of the components serve primarily as supports. The objects that resemble yellow spinners and the objects that resemble acorns are meant to be stacked together to create support towers.This is used when using high-level bridges and tying them to another bridge. To sustain the intermediate construction, you would erect a support tower underneath it.

For the birthday of my friend's son, I bought this set. The other marble mazes that looked pretty fantastic had some evaluations that I had read, but they all appeared to lack in some way. I have to admit that I'm thrilled with this purchase!The 7-year-old son of a friend of mine enjoys assembling this very much, but he enjoys watching the marbles move through the course the most. The parts fit together perfectly and are made of a very durable plastic. I am aware that several of the other marble courses about which I read reviews appeared to have fit problems. With the pieces in this set, I had none of those problems. Although they are simple to disassemble, they also fit and adhere effectively. This collection contains a fairly excellent selection of components. There are two enormous funnels that make for fantastic starting or midpoint locations throughout the course, as well as various graduated "step like" components, items that mimic slides, elements that resemble windmills, and more! The fact that all of the speciality items are sold in pairs is particularly lovely. We were able to set up a friendly competition between friends to see who could set up a course the quickest! Really, it was a blast!This package, in my opinion, is incredibly all-inclusive and suitable for adults and children of all ages. The options are genuinely limitless. You can put yourself or your child to the test by creating the marble's path through the course in the shortest amount of time or the longest amount of time. It's fascinating to observe the innovative concepts that anyone can develop. The marbles are of average size, which is positive. Some marble runs require a particular small size. You receive enough pieces to actually construct something enjoyable, and they are simple to assemble. Even though it is a little above my two-year-old, she can put the pieces together and construct towers even though she is unable to follow instructions or design a functional marble run. When everything is put together, she enjoys loading the marbles and watching them move through the maze. She doesn't shatter it every time she puts marbles in because the pieces fit together securely enough. There isn't enough room at the bottom for all of the marbles if you put more than a few in at once, so I only wish the bottom parts had a larger well where the marbles come out. Additionally, it may become quite loud if you use more than a few marbles, but I suppose that's all part of the fun.

With this product, I not only took the time to write a review but also returned to edit it! Here are my early thoughts. The kids loved it and picked up caution quickly, despite my continued aggravation with it tipping over so readily. We then had the entire day to play with it.With the way it's built up, how the marbles flow between the floors, and other factors, there are a ton of things to learn. All day long, they kept returning to it.I'd definitely purchase it again or as a present.The idea is sound, but what holds it together lacks a structure? What about blocks? But given the small size of these kids, what if they even slightly bump it and it crumbles? As a result, it takes fifteen minutes to assemble and collapses in only a few. This is something I wouldn't buy.
