I also use magnets from a different manufacturer that have a thin silicone or "rubber" sheet bonded to the surface. This improves this magnet's capacity to retain and resist slipping on vertical surfaces.Although it's simple to add one, these didn't come with a rubber coating on the magnet surface. Silicone anti-slip sheet with a thickness of 1/25 "or slimmer Preferably silicone that is thinner and has some "tack." A certain type of industrial grade silicone is made to make it simple to remove anything that comes into contact with it. That kind of silicone is less effective than the "tackier" silicone. On Amazon, you can buy raw silicone sheet. I've also used a Handstands dashboard anti-slip mat. It is slightly stickier than silicone sheet I've used, but it performs substantially better and tears more readily.Cut a 1.5" circle for this magnet "Apply the circle, with or without adhesive, on the magnet surface, and you're done. Although the advertisement claims it is plated, the magnet housing appears to be made of stainless steel. I believe the initial marketing claimed it was stainless, but I'm not sure.09/30/2019 update: I was mistaken. Most likely made of plated aluminum, caribiners. I have a similar-looking SS caribiner that I can compare. I apologize for it. Although plating is frequently visible differences from stainless, the plating on this caribiner has a convincing stainless appearance. It wasn't until I side-by-side compared this immediately to a stainless competitor of the same design that it became clear that this was plated aluminum. Despite everything, I still give this product five stars.

I recently purchased a NexGrill, and I quickly realized that I needed a solution to store and organize my grilling supplies. For a while, I simply stacked the tools on the grill's floor, but the interior floors of the grill would constantly become dirty and dusty. While looking for alternatives, I came across these and gave them a shot. I like that I can arrange them in the grill as necessary and am not constrained by the size of a typical grill tool rack. They did wonders for the grill's organization. Hooks were on a hollow metal frame grill door, which added to their ability to retain two tools per hook on average (depending of course on the weight of the tools). The hooks would retain more if this were made of thick iron or a surface made of solid metal. In both wall and ceiling settings, hooks held fast. Thin adhesive pads were also included with the hooks so that surfaces wouldn't be scratched by the magnets.One problem I did encounter was that two of the five hooks were apparently improperly magnetic (This issue was promptly resolved). To make sure it wasn't a simple surface issue, I checked additional fridge hooks, and three of them successfully held two or more tools. Only one tool could be held by two of the magnets. I used Amazon's email service to get in touch with the business, and I was VERY pleased with how quickly they responded. I received a response to my email a few hours later. It took the vendor between one and three hours (during regular business hours) to reply to each email. The responses were kind and considerate of the problem. They sent me a fresh box of hook out, which I got in two days. This time, every hook passed the test without a hitch, and I am extremely happy with their service.

After purchasing a single set, I discovered so many additional uses for them and decided to purchase another set! I intend to get more now that they are all in use.Concerning the assertions that these are not strong enough, I am unsure. I think they're VERY powerful! That depends entirely on the surface you stick them to, as stated in the directions that come with them. The connection is stronger the more ferrous metal there is. Some people might assume they are just weak magnets given the abundance of aluminum in our environment. I can hardly get them off again when I fasten them directly to steel or iron.I am VERY satisfied with the manufacturing quality. When compared to many of the products from China, the metal is of really excellent quality. I tried to bend one of the hooks, but the amount of power needed startled me. Additionally, unlike with many low-quality items, the finish did not quickly flake off.These appear to have been machined and are not just stamped from pot metal. Instead than being soldered or crimped, the hook screws into the magnetic base using threads. The link is quite strong as a result. Additionally, it suggests other intriguing uses for the base when the hook is unscrewed.

In the garage, I installed a number of Seville UltraHD cabinets because I had a lot of brushes and other objects that were best stored vertically rather than flat. Since I didn't want to drill through the doors and there was room between the shelves and the door, I went to Amazon to look for a solution. Although I was aware that rare earth magnets with hooks might work, I was concerned about the doors' holding power. I decided to try the choices with enhanced holding power when I noticed them.Without a doubt, that is a fantastic answer. No matter how firmly the door is closed, the hooks remain in place. They work excellent on the steel door to my workshop and on a white board where I use the hook and thread to keep the dry erase marker within reach. I had a few extras, and they worked out great for me.If these hooks have a defect, the hook part doesn't rise as far as it could, looking more like a "L" than a "J." Because of the thickness of the magnet, the loaded hook rests at an angle. Even while that hasn't happened to me, I can understand how some things would have a tendency to fall off the hook.

With the fresh wreath I recently purchased from a local high school fundraiser, this worked fantastically for me. Unless the door is slammed extremely hard, it keeps the wreath in place, but it does shift around 1 cm.However, it slipped when I initially put it on. Since the door is a magnet, my dad advised cleaning it, which is something I would have never thought to do. Why would oil and dirt have such a significant effect on it sticking? All I can tell is that it changed from sliding down the door to completely being still. Since I cleaned the door, I actually need two hands to move it now! I would still advise cleaning even if it sticks right away in case something is pressed up against whatever you are hanging or if the door is slammed firmly.

Steel is used for the walls and doors of cruise ship cabins (with the exception of some closet dividers). I read various suggestions to purchase magnets similar to these to put items on the walls and doors because storage space is at a premium. These performed admirably! Strong enough to support my wife's handbags, totes, hats, and a shoe organizer we utilized as extra storage on the bathroom door.Just exercise caution when handling them; preserve the tiny plastic washers that they inserted between them for storage, and keep an eye on your fingers! These aren't weak magnets for kids' bulletin boards; they are actually quite powerful. To prevent us from using the washers, I simply placed them at the foot of the hooks when they were being used for hanging. They were so helpful that I'll definitely buy more on our next cruise.The hook unscrews, allowing you to attach clips or eye hooks or use them to hang up other objects by purchasing screws. On a vacation, I intended to use these as a shoe organizer to hang from the bathroom door. Although there isn't much room in the cabins, especially the toilet, learning that the walls and doors are made of metal and having other cruisers post this tip online was brilliant. I contacted the business, and they swiftly replied with some excellent advice and an order for these powerful magnets. The corporate representative advised me to get the next heavier size, but I chose to do it anyhow. Along with these magnets, I also brought some zip ties, which, as the door already had four stationary hooks on it, functioned nicely when combined. The organizer, which was only partially filled at the moment, kept sliding down the door without the zip ties being added. It worked out fantastically by the time the three of us included our "everyday stuff," such as hair products, deodorant, toothpaste/toothbrush, hair dryer, etc. We took everything out of our six luggage and put them all under the mattresses, which was ideal because the shoe organizer included all the items we needed for the bathroom. It was a terrific idea to have these magnets to keep the space organized. We also used other, considerably less expensive sorts of magnets throughout the cabin that didn't need to support as much weight. We utilized a few substantial "Command" hooks, which are fantastic because they can be removed without leaving any residue. Overall, I was quite pleased with these magnetic hooks.

***UPDATE****As soon as I placed my review, the merchant contacted me. They provided me a detailed response explaining why a fridge surface is not the best location for these hooks since it is too smooth, has a lot of paint on it, and is not made of very sturdy steel. They advised me to try a different spot (which, regrettably, I can't because my flat has no other magnetic surfaces), and they even sent pictures demonstrating the power of their hooks. Even though I stated in my review that I intended to keep the hooks because I find them useful for hanging light objects from a fridge, they also extended me a complete refund and let me keep them free of charge. These are amazing! I wanted a lot of tiny magnetic hooks that I could use to hang decorations like paper fans and lanterns from a galvanized ceiling. I didn't require something particularly large or substantial to hang such lightweight objects; rather, I was more interested in finding the most affordable solution because I wanted roughly 60 of them. I price researched a ton of options and discovered that these were the most reasonably priced per-piece choice.Again, I was searching for the cheapest thing, so I hadn't really considered how big (circumference-wise) I needed it to be. The universe was in my favor because these fit nicely between the "ribs" (waves? ridges?) of the galvanized sheet ceiling material because they were quite small, which made everything hang level! We used fishing line to suspend the decor, so the hooks don't protrude too far from the base, but there is still enough room to hang heavier objects in the future without creating a gap that would make you concerned that your item would fall off.The power of these magnets astounded me! Wowza!! Despite the windy day, these infants remained put. My brother frequently remarked on their toughness. He humorously questioned how many could support him all at once. And I think he would have given it a shot if we hadn't been in such a rush to finish the graduation decorations!
