For the first time ever, I actually installed two of these sockets myself today! I could have finished it much more quickly if I had a wire stripping tool. I want to replace some additional sockets that my husband destroyed by using 250 watt bulbs in them, so I'm going to get a pair of wire strippers. The lamps continued to function, but the bulbs frequently blew loud pops and burned out extremely quickly. I wanted to supplement the instructions that come with these sockets, so before I started, I searched up instructions on how to do this on YouTube. It was helpful because I was having problems removing the socket cover from the socket base on my lamps, and I had seen another person manage a similar situation.
