This is a terrific item if you need a unique, novelty front license plate or if you just want it for decoration. These looked fantastic when I purchased two of them, each with white letters on a black backdrop and using their "license plate" font. The plate appears to have a thinner gauge than a typical plate (but not by much). The front of the plate is entirely painted or printed in high gloss, while the rear is raw aluminum. It has a fantastic appearance and seems weather-resistant.One thing to note is that the plate appears to have either been stamped or laser- or waterjet-cut. The cut edges have not actually been deburred in either situation. This is not a problem if the license plate will rest on a piece of plastic, but it may be a hassle if it touches the paint on your automobile. In the latter scenario, you might wish to prepare the edge with a little light sanding or tape.

These plate coverings are gorgeous. They make my plates less annoyingly brilliant without being so dark that I run afoul of the local law authorities. They were really simple to install, and a ton of extra hardware was included to make sure you had the proper screws. The black screw head covers are fantastic; where I live, salt is spread on the roads to prevent snow and ice, and that stuff really eats through the tops of license plate screws.The plate didn't fit completely into my stock plate frame, thus it had to sit on top. However, since my frame is somewhat oddly shaped, I can't really blame the plate cover for this.

When I was shopping, I read online reviews from others who expressed disappointment over the transparent cover they had purchased not fitting their chrome or other plate frame. No other plate frame can accommodate this cover and make it appear good. It has large bolt holes that resemble standoffs and is two to three times as thick as the clear cover I removed. The plate is only touched by the edges and bolt holes. Time will be the real test. How long will they be unobstructed?Once more, the plate is only touched by the edges and bolt holes. The plate's size corresponds to it. Not into the cover does the plate drop. on a 2016 RAM 1500; installed.

Thank goodness we have this. I used to live in a state where front plates were required, but now I only need a rear plate for my automobile. This left a large hole where the plate holder is fastened, or a front plate holder that was empty (tacky). However, mine stands out clearly, so you wouldn't miss the fact that there are stripes AND a blue one as well. I can see where other people say that they cannot see the blue. This plate is constructed of a considerably tougher metal, but it is THICK—like foam core thick. I've never seen vanity plates or actual plates that are better or thicker than these ones! As was previously said, the screws are larger than the holes, but in my opinion, the size of the holes allows for more adaptation to the various cars and holes available. I colored the screws black with a Sharpie after using two washers I already had. (Stylish, huh?) I'll acquire black screws to replace them when I get the time, but I like the way they look and I appreciate supporting our officers.

Good shade, plenty black for your desired look, but absolutely legal! but NOT "Unbreakable" in any way! It displays a picture of a hammer striking it, great! LOL, Even slightly overtightening the mounting screws or bolts will cause them to break; however, as long as you avoid hitting them, you won't have any problems. I put this on my Audi license plate holder because my antique state license plate is smaller than typical and the screws holding the Audi plate holder to the car would have been visible on both sides of my plate. If I had the money, I would have my body painted on this, which would make it seem really great. As a result, it is currently just black, which is preferable to showing the screws.

does not cover the plate so much that I worry about being stopped frequently. On my car, it looks cool. simple to install Even though my car only has two rather than four top holes, I wish they had extra plastic pieces to push in the bottom after installation. The use of the black rubber coverings on all four holes would improve the aesthetics. It's a cool addition to my automobile, other from that. Because the plastic is somewhat inexpensive, it only receives a score of four stars for durability. We'll see how it performs in both sunny and cloudy conditions, and we might update those.

Since I will only be utilizing this on the rear of my car, it is ideal for my requirements. On the front of the car, you can see the unsightly dealer frame that came with it, and on the back, there is a clear cover that has been put in place. All I need to do to make the black screws in the automobile less obvious is swap them out for silver ones. These covers have some flexibility. They are not made of plastic that is rigid, harsh, and unforgiving and will not break if dropped. It is also obvious. Although it is not optically clear, a license plate cover need not be. You should put something on your car, such as a foam stick-on protector, to prevent your paint from rubbing against the plate and to prevent vibration if you have subwoofers or if your car has a tendency to rattle. I would also advise running a bead of silicon adhesive or something to adhere your plate to the cover so that it creates an airtight seal so you don't have to worry about dirt getting in between it. For any plate, that is accurate. If you use it on the front, there have been complaints about bugs with similar goods, I've found. I advise you to apply some spray wax or detail spray to the covers, which will create a thin layer. It will be simpler to clean off and provide some UV protection if you use it every time you wash your car.

Great looking product my BMW F10 M5 on. Due to the M5's rearview camera's placement directly over the back license plate, it was extremely difficult to fit. Although the included screws, size M6 screws, are excessively large, they should still suit most domestic vehicles. I simply hurried to Lowes and grabbed some 16mm.8-M5 screws, and they worked well on the BMW. The black screw covers won't be correctly secured if you don't insert the small washer underneath the screw head on top of the license plate cover and frame. Without the washer in place, they were quite simple to remove. They felt secure after they were reinstalled alongside the washer and snapped into place. The majority of comments regarding the caps not feeling secure are probably due to people choosing to forego installing the little washer beneath the screw head, which is how the product is intended to function (also shown in the instructions). I think it's dark enough, and my car is pretty dark. I believe it would start to seem childish if it were any darker.
