These LEDs are quite bright, so there's nothing to hate. They offer the greatest value for my or your hard-earned money.Over 500 LEDs of various colors, coupled in a series-parallel array at 12 volts and 15 milliamps, were needed for the LED sign I developed.The forward voltage specifications had a Vfe range, therefore my design calculation to produce LEDs with the same brightness at 15 ma was subject to change. When I wired 4 LEDs in series, I discovered that the average Vfe was 15 ma. Given four more series-connected sets of four LEDs, the average Vfe remained unaltered. Perfect!I had to order another bundle box of LEDs because I was out of red LEDs. Amazon hiked the fee and sent a brief email to the manufacturer about it. The manufacturer reimbursed the difference, raising the rating to six stars. Thank you.The empty plastic container formed the ideal storage box for my current limiting resistors, and the LEDs were wrapped pretty tastefully.

The LEDs were shipped in a specially designed square box " (9 x 9 x 0.5"). The LEDs were packaged individually in resealable antistatic bags that were color-coded, identified with the voltage range (9V to 12V), and wire-color-coded. The anode wire is the same color as the LED, but the cathode wire is always black. Each LED assembly has a built-in resistor, but I'm unsure of its value because the connections between the LED component and the resistor are covered with heat-shrinkable sleeving. About 1/4 of the wires' other end are stripped "and are both pre-tinned.When the voltage is increased to 12 volts, the light is illuminated tolerably. I didn't attempt to test them across the entire voltage range. They individually draw roughly 10mA of current.Overall, I am quite satisfied with the product's functionality and packing, and I would buy it again.

These work beautifully and give my DIY electrical lighting a lot of personality; I've used them in those. Up until now, and more on this later, they have proven to be trustworthy in specific situations.Two complaints, one of which was just made. First off, because the forward voltage changes for each color of the LED, it can be challenging to select a current limiting resistor for these.Second, these resistors are tricky, as was already indicated. They dislike being put uncomfortably and/or having their leads repeatedly bent and straightened, namely, in my experience. I had to bend and twist a bunch of wiring around for one lamp because my planning was flawed (lesson learned: protoboard is used frequently for a reason!). Due to this, all seven of the LEDs—with the exception of two—did not through a complete color cycle.Since I've had similar issues with conventional LEDs that were still functional, I'm speculating that there may be a minor short causing the ICs in these to malfunction. In any case, the lamps I've created that didn't have problems brought on by my errors function well and the LEDs change colors as promised.

a fantastic value. There are a ton of high-quality LEDS in all different colors in this lot. The inside of the lid is clearly printed with the specifications for each type of LED. Very helpful. There haven't been any failures yet. The only slight drawback, according to some, is that the supplied 220 ohm resistors are a little low (hot) for many projects (330 or 470 ohm are about right for use with 5-volt logic), but hey, this is still a very useful kit, and resistors are cheap. Overall, an excellent value for the money, and I would (and will) gladly purchase the exact same product again.L

ideal for small scientific projects. To ignite them, my kid and I were using potato batteries. Different voltages are required to turn on the lights. 1.8 to 4.0 (white). So, in order to increase the voltage to the necessary level to glow, we wired potato batteries in series. These have both a positive and a negative post, and you must keep that in mind when wiring them if you want them to work. Everyone followed through on their promises. Then, using a few D-cell batteries, we were going to wire a number of them in parallel. Science is cool, it's fun, and these are incredibly affordable.

Only because certain colors were in the wrong container and I discovered a few duds did I give this a 4-star rating (possibly user error with the polarity). If you have an LED test board, it's not a big deal. I use these diodes for my scale radio-controlled trucks, so that will be my next job. They are really brilliant when powered properly. Though I rarely require yellow, the more orange-tinted yellow is still great for running lights, turn signals, and marker lights on trailers.For those of us that require or would like to have a cheat sheet on hand, it would be useful to have a spec sheet in addition to the color chart.Overall, I'm happy with the product's quality and will buy it again if I ever need more.

A 12-volt automotive project called for a small test light. For me to be able to see which fuses are hot with the low beams, high beams, and fog lights, it involves an adapter from the fuse box to a wiring harness. I wanted something cheap and light to alert me whether the electricity was on or off, so I utilized a piggy-back pigtail to connect into the fuse box.The 120 bulb assortment was a good deal, so I bought it. I wired five different LEDs in parallel and contacted them with a little solder after doing so. The leads were then run through an empty candy bottle, and the tinned leads were given a rapid detach crimp connector.The end result is a small, reasonably priced test light with five LEDs that looks bright enough to catch my notice in all but the brightest regions and won't leave a trace on a car's paint or plastic. Add extra LEDs if you need more light.For me, the fact that these already have leads attached saved a ton of time. Each tested unit has so far functioned. In order to insert a few of these bulbs into the face of a project box, I have also bought some panel bezels. They're pleasant.Using my cellphone's Night Sight function, I took the picture in a dark room. The light's true impact is brighter to the human eye, but because the room lighting was on when the shot was taken, the cellphone automatically adjusted so you couldn't tell the jar was lit, even though you could see it in person. This imager accurately captures how the LEDs look.

Due to the fact that each robot needs numerous LEDs, I bought these for my robotics class. There are several that meet our needs, and the pricing was reasonable. The electrodes are a tiny bit shorter than the LEDs that came with our robots, but they are still long enough for the circuit boards, and the anode is longer than the cathode to make it simple to distinguish between them.

Compared to previous, comparable lights I purchased from [insert chain shop name here], these lights are much easier to turn on and off.Good:s- Although they don't emit much light, they are excellent for lighting up a dark closet or other dimly lit areas. The battery life is also rather decent. I once unintentionally left one running for 8 or 9 hours, and it's still operating almost as well as it did before. My mother received some from me, and she appears to be satisfied. She informed me that it provides such a soft glow as opposed to those clip-on reading lights that generate glare on the screen, and she enjoys using it as a reading light for her kindle. I'm not sure exactly how she supports it, but it seems to be working for her.Unfavorable: A battery cover's clip broke on me. It still clips in, however to access the batteries on that one I now need to undo the clip with something flat, such a pocket knife or flat head screwdriver. Since the batteries won't need to be changed frequently, this won't be a major concern.
