AIYEGO Leather Hole Punch, Portable Revolving Punch Pliers Kit with 6 Round Hole Sizes for Belt, Watch Band, Cloth, Shoes, Handbags, Plastic, Gaskets, Cardboard, etc Review:

I've never worked with leather. For my project, this kit worked beautifully. Everything I needed was in the kit, plus more. It's a good idea to put a piece of cardboard under the object you are punching as they advise. The brass base plate underneath the punch will be scratched by how sharp it is. I changed out a 1" square of egg carton cardboard after each few punches. The base plate was still marked up even then. (The kit comes with an additional base plate in case one is needed, but the cardboard truly prevents damage.

Leather Hole Punch by Skilled Crafter Easily Punches Perfect Round Holes. FREE Ruler & Awl Tool. Best Professional Puncher for Belt, Saddle, Watch Strap, Shoe, Bag, Fabric, Eyelet + 2 Year Warranty Review:

The goods exceeded expectations and the description was quite accurate. I've used a few different leather hole punches over the years, and they all have bad hinge points, rust readily, cutters that are easily dull or not sharp, and lastly, the cutters would push out from the need for additional pressure to punch the desired hole. These problems are resolved by the Skilled Crafter Pro Hole Punch. The product description mentions that the handles are well-designed and padded. The quality of the hinges' construction makes it easier to properly punch holes in them. In reality, I used excessive force the first few times I punched holes, leaving deep cut lines on the plate that weren't necessary. No issue since they also provide a second plate, a screwdriver, and a holder with the order. Additionally, a collar keeps the cutters in place to avoid push through in the event of strong punching pressure. Compared to the more prevalent hole punches, this instrument is a pleasant upgrade. A good product at a reasonable cost.

OWDEN 9 PIECES HOLLOW PUNCH SET (1/8"-1/2") WITH A FREE CUTTING MAT, LEATHER PUNCH SET Review:

I had to drill some 1/2" holes in a chair cover so that grommets could be attached to it for my desk chair. I was able to make it work, and I now have hole punches in case I ever need them again. Regarding durability, I haven't used it enough to comment, but if you get carried away and don't pay attention to which side is up when you hammer it, they do dull. Despite this, I was still able to complete the task at hand. If I need it sharper, I should be able to re-sharpen.

Beadsmith LPUNCH5 Leather Punch, Multi Review:

I had to get one for myself after a coworker requested that we purchase this tool for our workshop. It comes in quite handy for making holes of various sizes in a wide range of materials and objects. However, take care not to completely penetrate your leather; the shoulder at the base of the point can hook and trap the material, making it difficult to disentangle. I made this mistake, which caused me to slightly bend the tip such that it was out of alignment with the holes.

Aiskaer White Steel 4mm 1/2/4/6 Prong DIY Diamond Lacing Stitching Chisel Set Leather Craft Kits (4mm) Review:

I've had time to use them finally. According to the description of these punches, the leather appears to be pierced by open holes. They don't accept what is visible. They cut slits that are just wide enough for huge threads to flow through with needles. If you put off closing the slits for too long, they will likewise close up. Open the slits to holes by punching through once more from the back to reduce that (if accessible). I've had good success using the punches with nylon threads up to 150 denier. None of the pins have been broken yet. Be sure to strike the punch square with the hammer while holding it against the leather (5 to 6 oz tack hammer works well). Use a soft backstop, such as a scrap of white wood, as the punch pins must penetrate the leather's backside by about 1/4 inch in order to fully expand the hole. purchased a second set tonight.

Lifegoo Professional Flush Cutter Wire Side, 5 inch Cable Cutters Wire Steel Cutting Nippers Perfect for Electrical Jewelry Processing ect - Black … Review:

wonderful leather hole punch I purchased it so that I could use it on my designer belts, but I first practiced using it on some less expensive belts to get the feel of it and determine the proper size hole for the punch. After a few practice holes, I perfected making holes the way I wanted. I then went on to my Hermès and Gucci belts. Perfect, you can't even tell it's working. Yes, they would punch free holes for me if I returned with my belts to the shop. But being able to add a hole or two as needed makes things so much simpler. used it for LV bag straps as well. I've also used this to adjust the pricey belts on my kids and the expensive belts on my hubby.AWESOME PURCHASE Before using it on anything crucial, merely practice on a cheap belt or piece of practice leather to determine the hole gauge size and correct technique.

QLOUNI 3/16" Eyelet Hole Punch Pliers with 100 Eyelets Kit for Leather Fabric Belt Clothes Decorative Repair Review:

In order to attach 4 homemade ABS panels that I cut out in the shape of photo frames for a project I am working on, I used this to punch 46 holes in 4 pieces of sunscreen fabric. The punch only sort of worked, leaving a small amount of fabric on each hole, so I had to finish cutting the hole with a small set of scissors, but because the hole was the appropriate size, I didn't worry. Not sure if it would affect other materials in this way.The eyelets that came with the kit were installed, but I was unable to get them to consistently crimp all the way around. I always had to cut the piece that was standing up on one of them. Perhaps it performs better on different types of material. The microscopic fibers used to create this sunscreen fabric are spun together, and the mesh is completely covered. Then I decided to forego the eyelet altogether and instead use nylon hardware to secure the sunscreen to the ABS panel, as I had planned to do all along. The sun screen fits flat against the ABS panel, which is a benefit. So even though I had trouble using the eyelets, I was still able to use the hole puncher, which helped me save a ton of time.

ATPWONZ 52 Shape Style One Hole Hollow Punch Cutter Set for Handmade DIY Leather Craft Review:

On schedule, undamaged, and properly wrapped. Although these are advertised as tools for cutting leather, I ordered them to work with polymer clay when designing jewelry. The cutters are packaged in a robust, compact casing that is simple to open and close. About 15 of the cutters I've tried are nicely manufactured, cleanly cut through various clay thicknesses, and are the right size for clay jewelry components. To obtain a flawlessly clean cut with conditioned clay, I did have 2 where the seam needed to be squeezed a tiny bit with a flat nose plier, but it was easy to make the change. I don't think it would have been noticeable with leather, which is what the tools are really made for, therefore I didn't take away from the five stars I awarded. I would without a doubt suggest these to other polymer clay jewelry makers searching for some reasonably cost, high-quality cutters. that they are not suitable for use by children because they are sharp.

12Pcs Oval Shape Leather Craft Hole Punch Set Punch Belt Watch Band for Leather Working Oblong Shape Punch Review:

I haven't been this thrilled about an Amazon delivery in a long time, so I hastily delivered these to the work bench. Although I had read some unfavorable reviews, I was confident that these would live up to my expectations, and I was not let down. On a single layer of 4 oz. leather, I tested these out. I was cautious with them because their unusual shapes and thinner body types can't withstand hard blows and uncontrolled slams. I gently tapped these into the leather with a Teflon mallet. They cut expertly, too! When working on one end then the other to prevent it from wandering, the larger sections have a tendency to want to see-saw, but that is to be expected. You can see that I used a wide range of the available options and that the forms are almost perfect. I initially believed my earlier lunch board, which had numerous scars, was the problem, but after careful inspection, I realized the problem persisted at the place of the welded closure. This might be improved. Yes. However, not at this price! The slight fuzz at the seam can be removed with a straightforward exacto knife. I anticipate that will be less of a problem with thicker leather or many layers. In the third picture, I highlighted a few of these hazy edges. These are fantastic other from that. My husband was quite amazed and perhaps a little envious of the large variety of punches that I had acquired.

10Pcs Leather Hole Punch Cutter 0.5mm-5mm Leather Working Tools for Leather Watch Bands Belts Canvas Paper Plastics Round Hollow Hole Punch Cutter Tool Review:

Tools will punch somewhat raggedly out of the box (a plastic bag tightly packed which protected the edges during shipment). The only issue with them is that, as would be expected at this budget point, the exterior surface is a rough ground finish. I punched a reasonably clear hole in some 8–9 oz. leather right out of the box, but it was difficult to get the punch out thereafter. They made neat, clean holes through 8 to 9 oz. leather with only a little polishing and a trip to the strop. I polished all 10 punches on a bench buffer for about 20 minutes, and they polished well and produced good holes. I can't comment to the durability just yet, but I punched 10 holes with the.5 mm and they were all clean with the expected reduced bruising from the well-designed reduced nose strikes.
