This gadget is nearly flawless! I got a variety of slip and slides in advance of my daughter's 10th birthday water party, and because I also have a 20-month-old, I bought this so that he could enjoy the festivities as well. Two weeks prior to the party, we set them all up in my yard to test them out, make sure they all functioned properly, and determine which one performed best in which area of the yard. To be honest, I didn't anticipate the results to be that unexpected. The reality was that the regular slip and slides bumpers sprayed the water outward rather than in, and unless you sprayed it constantly with a hose, it was a piece of trash, whereas this little tykes one sprayed the water directly on the slide and its bumpers sprayed inwards onto the mat as it's meant to. I had anticipated that the bigger slip and slides would be the ones that everyone—including my toddler—wanted to play with. When you press against or bump into the bumpers, the water on this sprays even higher. Other than that, everything's flawless. My only issue is that the orange portion that attaches into the slide and shoots water down it is far too easily pulled off. Even though I have four children, my 20-month-old is the happiest infant I've ever seen. I've never witnessed him enjoying anything else more. He's worked on it for roughly three hours per day for the past week, which is a lifetime for a toddler, so I couldn't be happier. My ten-year-old, who was sorely let down by the large slip and slides, has joined her younger brother on this one. Although it's plainly not intended for someone her age, she's still having a great time, and it has no trouble supporting her weight. Little Tykes did a much better job building a quality slip and slide than the businesses who make primarily; I just hope they would make a version for bigger kids with a longer slide as they do with their normal slides. Prior to Memorial Day weekend, when we knew we'd be hosting many of guests, we purchased this. My 7 and 4-year-old children must have worked on it for a good two hours in the stifling Texas heat before our visitors even arrived. More youngsters arrived, and children aged 3 to 11 spent at least an additional two hours playing in the water. By the end of the weekend, I thought the $61 was money well spent (locally, renting an inflatable water slide for a weekend costs over $200 and involves a lot of effort). It was also fortunate that the shark head/top gateway already had a hole in it because I was unable to adequately patch it (no repair kit was included with this play center either, unfortunately). The container that forms the inflated walls of the pool started to leak air after another week or so of continuous use and would deflate within an hour or so of being inflated again. The good news is that my kids can STILL use it and enjoy it despite many air chambers leaking. The boogie boards in particular are fantastic, and we are considering purchasing another unit so that we would have multiple boogie boards for it when this one finally completely fails.Unless you have superhuman lungs and a lot of spare time, you will need some sort of electric pump to blow this up. Because there are so many chambers to inflate, we utilized a combination of an air compressor and an air mattress pump, but it still took some time (this is a little bit of a nuisance in set up, but is actually a good design considering some of the chambers now have holes, but the whole thing is still kinda hanging in there).Since there was no repair kit and it didn't last very long before needing repair, I deducted one point. Additionally, I detest throwing excellent things away, but there is no appropriate solution, so it will have to be disposed of at the end of the summer (if it makes it that long). But even for the brief period that it was still in great working order, I am quite happy with our purchase and believe we received our money's worth. Given how much our children and their friends enjoy it, we may even purchase another one the following year.

It was used A LOT and lasted nearly the entire summer season! My son and his friends used it EVERY DAY; it was located on a hill in our front yard. I was concerned that it wouldn't get enough water to the other side, and like other reviewers, I was worried about that. However, we raised the water holes and blocked some of the bottom holes to increase the pressure above! No big deal when the kids played rough with it and damaged the bottom landing place! We sealed it with a zip tie, and what do you think happened? The children didn't care that there wasn't a "pool" of water for landing because more water was shooting out of all the holes on the side! Such a blast, and many passing neighbors would pause their cars to wave to the kids while they had the time of their lives! Will purchase another for the upcoming season because it's hard to get kids out of the house these days unless it's for cool things to do on hot summer days!

To replace our five-year-old Slip-n-Slide, we turned to Amazon. Due to all of the poor reviews, I almost didn't buy it. The old one ultimately wore up and blew out the end seam when one of the kids sprang into the air and fell like a cannonball onto the water-filled end cushion, and that was all I wanted to replace. For a while, the mystical duct tape served as a last-minute MacGyver solution. The other issue was that, due to the design of the seams, duct tape was unable to even begin to moderate the continual leakage from the two slide boogies (their words, not mine). At the nearby SuperChain store, we purchased the first one. Time for a fresh start... I then began my Amazon search and discovered a large number of unfavorable remarks. Based on the issues others had, I assumed they had altered it and used inferior materials because the photo posted on the website appeared to be different. I made the decision to spend the $18 or so dollars because I trusted Amazon and their return procedures (they even deliver our groceries, for gods sake). I wanted to see how everything worked out. The kids couldn't wait to try out the brand-new slide and boogie boards because we utilize Amazon Prime, which allowed us to receive it in just 2 days. The vinyl feels a little bit thinner and less durable right out of the box than our prior one did. It was placed outside, the hose was attached, and the water was switched on. Good news thus far, Because there are more holes, it is likely that the side sprays did not spray as high as they did on the previous one—only around 2 feet as opposed to 3 feet on the old one. "Oh no, the other evaluations are correct, it needs more water pressure, we are dead in the water," was my initial reaction. I worried that I would let the kids down by dumping it out, letting it dry, trying to put it back into the box (good luck with that), and giving it back. I had a realization and told myself, "I should not act foolishly, myself. It cost $18 dollars. You must give it some time for that large layout of money." I apologize for keeping you waiting, but additional information is needed. We have good water pressure and live on the yuppie suburban outskirts of Seattle, so we only use the slip-n-slide for about three months out of the year. I actually thought about getting a 5 gallon bucket for this review in order to give you an exact measurement of our water flow rate, but I just couldn't muster the energy. Maybe once I finish making my macrame kitty pillow. I'm kidding. It is for the dog), we have three young children (ages 4, 5, and 8), all of whom misuse the slide as a result. I'll get back to how everything worked out. The water moved smoothly. It was necessary to make a small adjustment to the side jets so that the water poured entirely onto the slide rather than half on the slide and half on the lawn. It's simple and cheesy to point the side tube's jets in the direction of the slide while being doused with water from the side. No batteries are necessary. On a level piece of grass, we slide. The newest model accumulates water considerably better than the previous one because to the enhanced water flow through the side and end spray jets. The water quickly covers the entire slide, so as the kids slide down it, they move a lot of water around, making it even more entertaining. The children all agreed that it is beloved when I polled them. It continues to function well after six to eight weeks of use. Everyone had a terrific slippity funtastic time thanks to no leaks and good water flow.

I bought this for my kids because I had one when I was younger and liked it. Once they figured out how to slide on it, they adored it. All they wanted was something else to do outside on a wonderful day. Although it is a very little slide that wasn't created in the good old days, it nevertheless manages to hold my kids. While sliding down this slip and slide, one could hear the best party ever. Children from 3 to 13 had a great time. They definitely glide when you add some Dawn soap!
