Lawn mower parts are not always interchangeable. The size and shape of the parts can vary depending on the model of lawn mower. Some parts may be compatible with other brands of lawn mowers, but it is best to check with the manufacturer to be sure.
It's possible for a lawn mower to last 20 years, but it depends on a number of factors. The quality of the mower, how often it's used, and how well it's maintained will all play a role in its longevity. If you take good care of your mower and don't use it excessively, there's a good chance it will last two decades or more.
Yes, you can tip a lawn mower on its side, but you should consult your mower's manual first to see if it is safe to do so. Some mowers have a special oil drain plug that must be used when tipping the mower on its side.
The quick answer is yes, but it may not be as easy as it used to be. Sears has been going through some tough times lately and has had to close many of its stores. This has led to a decrease in the availability of Sears parts. However, the company has an online presence and parts can still be ordered through its website. There may be some delays in getting parts due to the current situation, but Sears is still committed to providing its customers with the parts they need.

I purchased this because I believed that my current starter rope, which had served me for more than 20 years, was about to fail. The original rope, however, has resisted breaking simply because I have this replacement in my shed, and I hope it continues.(I'd like to include Briggs and Stratton engines as a side note. Despite being 25 years old, my lawn mower starts up more readily than it did when it was spanking new. I've changed the spark plugs twice, once decarbonized the cylinder head, and twice cleaned the carburetor. Be my guest if you want to spend a few hundred dollars extra on a Honda engine, but I'm a happy customer.)

Okay, this arrived on schedule today, which seldom happens with my Prime 2-day shipping. At this price, you are getting a tire and inner tube combo kit. The quality appears to be just what I anticipated, nothing less. Overall, I rate it 4 stars for quality, shipping, pricing, and combo. Although mounting this to the rim of a wheelbarrow or utility cart does help, it is still doable without them. Despite owning a compact tire changer from Harbor Freight, I was unable to move it by myself. I was able to attach the inner bead and get the valve stem through the rim, but I was unable to get the outer bead to expand enough. Long story short, I gave up and went it to the tire shop where it took me, two of their guys, and them to put the tire on (not using special tools). Three of us squeezing the bead while two of us press down on the tire! Worst tire mount I've ever had. The tire technicians assert that rather than a defect in the manufacturing process or a flaw in the product, the hardness of the tire was caused by its size and narrowness. The 4 stars are a result of my having to concur with them.

These criticisms don't speak to the inner tubes' build quality or aesthetic appeal. It seems like installing tubes in a 4.10 x 4" tire on plastic wheels shouldn't be all that difficult. You'd be surprised to learn that the second one only takes a quarter as long after you figure out how to accomplish it. Years ago, I purchased a 3200 psi pressure washer from Costco. Almost every time I rolled it out of the garage, the tires were flat because it had tubeless tires. Getting air into them was a pain in the butt. For example, I struggled to fill them in May by adding a little extra air. When I went to use it again around August 10th, both tires were flat once more. I had therefore acquired the tubes and was prepared for combat. To remove and replace the tires, I used tire irons for bicycles and motorcycles. I used three irons to remove the tire; I used the first one to hold the tire bead in place while the other two alternately pull the tire bead out until it rolled off the rim. I didn't totally remove the tire. Once the tube was inside the tire, I discovered that the tire bead would not follow my efforts with the tire iron around the rim if I clamped a Vice Grip pliers on the rim where I started rolling the bead back over the rim. Only one tire iron worked best in the reinstallation. The tire pressure may be low in the future after sitting during the winter, but with tubes it will be simple to inflate the tires rather than battling the beads back on while attempting to seal them long enough to hold a little air.

Best blade for general cutting I've found! American made. I truly believed I had a new mower! Its a robust blade that can handle rough or smooth surfaces. Its incredibly thick, durable metal can withstand heavy use and a few rocks without frequently needing to be resharpened. They have a sticker on them that states that they are high lift blades. This blade is a beast and will seriously fling the clippings, wet or dry. Although I don't use a bagger, I believe these blades will work perfectly for them. These blades are excellent! They are thickly painted when they arrive, so you must sharpen them first before using. They maintain an edge well. I'm confident I'll order these again, and I also suggest others do the same. Made in USA Free delivery and a perfect fit. BEST EVER! I don't promote; I'm just a private user. These I paid for myself.Thanks. Eastport, USA (Maine)

An item that is challenging to review is a dedicated charger. There isn't much else you can ask of it because there aren't any other options, other than that it works and doesn't die on you. Instead of having to cut the yard over several days as it would if we had to charge it overnight, it charges rapidly and allows us to get in a recharge so we can finish cutting the entire yard in one day.carried out So that you hopefully won't make the same error I did that forced me to get this in the first place, it's time for some storytime. You see, my mower's charger died, but I attribute that on a bad battery and my own foolishness.Sadly, my lawnmower's battery was dead. It has never accepted a charge. Just enough juice was extracted from it for us to confirm that the mower did actually run. Since it was still under warranty, I contacted Greenworks, and they were fantastic about sending me a replacement. However, I learned that occasionally a battery that's not charging or is showing as malfunctioning can be given a "boost" by quickly pulling on and off the charger to get it going again while I was waiting for the replacement battery to come.Avoid making the same error I did! In addition, the defective battery was not fixed. The charger had a short. Personally, I don't see that as a flaw but rather a feature. The charger failing is preferable to the battery exploding. However, it still meant I had to buy a new charger, and since I was solely to blame for ignoring the instructions, I decided to cover the expense of doing so.Ideally, the only use for this would be to simultaneously charge several batteries so that you always have a spare on hand.

In an ironic twist, this is the first time in 55 years that I have pinched tubes with tire-irons as I installed them, indicating that my skills have slackened (?) I wanted to find a heavy-duty extra-thick tube, but I was unable to find that on Amazon, so I bought this one. I feel certain that I pinched both of them as I installed them and caused them to leak, so I patched both. I'm not sure of the answer, but there was a solid pattern that suggested I was the culprit, LOL. I therefore patched both of these MISSION tubes at the same location using a $10 SLIME patch-kit;The stem location/angle was the only other problem (which I did not cause), but I can live with it because it is in an odd place and emerges from a wheelbarrow wheel at an odd angle;Thirdly, for the past 20 years, I have used SLIME in almost everything that does not see D.O.T. (highway) situations, including bicycles, motorcycles, lawn mowers, etc. This time, I am planning to use Stan's Latex instead because it is thinner, easier to "install," and I believe it is equivalent to Slime for small or common punctures or leaks.

Zipper Strategically Placed On The Bottom For Durability And Ease Of Use

Easy To Attach To The Blower And An Adjustable Shoulder Strap For Comfort
$234
The first issue I want to address is that this $25 bag DOES NOT include the plastic clip you need to attach it to your blower. It wasn't a big problem to me because I was ready for it. But it was odd that only half of those who addressed this topic believed it was a problem, while the other half disagreed. But since I didn't have that piece to begin with, I was able to hold this bag in place by using only a zip tie and some gorilla tape, which worked just fine. I don't see how this blower could be secured with just a zip tie since it has a lot of force. This has only been used once so far, but it filled the bag three times. I didn't had any problems with the zipper (many people do), but I will update my rating after using it more frequently for a while. Therefore, don't worry if you lack the tiny plastic connector that the bag clamps to; I was without it. The bag can be secured in place with a little gorilla tape and a sturdy zip tie.
Lawnmowers are designed to be used in all weather conditions, including rain. However, if you do not take proper care of your lawnmower, it can become ruined in the rain. Be sure to clean your lawnmower after each use, and store it in a dry place. If your lawnmower does get ruined in the rain, you may be able to repair it yourself, or you may need to replace it.
How long a lawnmower lasts depends on the model, how well it’s maintained, and how often it’s used. A typical lawnmower has a life expectancy of eight to 10 years.
The average lawnmower blade should be replaced every eight to 10 weeks, depending on how often you use it.
It's generally not a good idea to hose down a lawn mower. Water can get into the engine and cause corrosion. It's also possible to damage electrical components. If you must wash your lawn mower, be sure to disconnect the spark plug wire first.
If your old lawn mower still runs well and you don't mind putting a little time and effort into maintaining it, then it's definitely worth fixing rather than buying a new one. Not only will you save money in the short-term, but you'll also get a lot more use out of your old mower than you would a new one. Just be sure to keep up with regular maintenance and repairs, and your old mower will continue to run like a charm for years to come.
