Can you put wet clothes in the hamper?

Wet clothes can go in the hamper, but it's best to hang them up to dry first. Otherwise, they'll just make the rest of the laundry in the hamper wet.

Do you need a laundry hamper?

If you have a laundry room in your home, chances are you also have a laundry hamper. But do you really need one? Here are some pros and cons to help you decide. Pros: A laundry hamper can make it easy to transport your dirty laundry to the laundry room. It can also help to keep your laundry room tidy by keeping dirty laundry off the floor. Cons: A laundry hamper can take up valuable space in your laundry room. It can also be a breeding ground for bacteria if it isn’t cleaned regularly. So,

Do you use the same hamper for dirty and clean clothes?

If you're like most people, you probably have one hamper for all your dirty clothes. But is this the best way to do things? There are a few advantages to using two hampers: 1) You can keep your clean clothes clean. Having a separate hamper for clean clothes means that they're less likely to get dirty or wrinkled. 2) You can keep your dirty clothes separate from your clean clothes. This can be helpful if you have allergies or if you just don't want your clean clothes to smell like your dirty clothes.

How do I keep my laundry basket from smelling?

The first step is to make sure that your laundry basket is clean. If it is dirty, it will hold onto smells more easily. You can clean it with soap and water, or you can use a vinegar solution. Once it is clean, you can line it with a clean towel. This will help to absorb any moisture and smells. You can also put a dryer sheet in the bottom of the basket to help with smells.

Simple Houseware Foldable Closet Laundry Hamper Basket, Beige Review:

My wife and I have long used a multi-compartment roll-away hamper. We chose to just go back to the fundamentals with a freestanding unit after having two units break. Being OCD, I had to purchase three. These containers are large enough to carry all the laundry that will fit in our new front-loading washer and maintain their shape well. Because of their small weight and solid, pleasant handles, moving them isn't a problem. Since we've been using it for a while, I haven't heard any concerns. I'd most definitely recommend it, and if/when they ever wear out, I'd buy it again in a few years.

Fawn Hill Co Bunny Laundry Hamper Basket for Baby Nursery or Toddler Room | Collapsable Storage Tote Organizer with Durable Handles for Clothes, Kids Toys, Dirty Laundry | Modern Decor (Black & White) Review:

I appreciate the drawstring as well, which allows my campus student to close the top.You wouldn't want to put anything wet in the hamper, like a towel or swimsuit, unless you were going straight to the laundry room because the hamper is constructed of a canvas-like material and substance mold is a possibility. Given the white color of the hamper, I believe you might spend a little money on a stain-resistant spray similar to what you could use on boots or a tent to guard against stains in between washings. Other than that, it's the ideal size for a single person living in a small place.

Lifewit Laundry Hamper Clothes Hamper Large Capacity Basket with Extended Handles for Storage Clothes Toys in Bedroom, Bathroom, Foldable, 72L, Grey Review:

For their room, my kids required a larger, lighter hamper. A wise purchase was the Lifewit hamper. It is incredibly simple for my kids to carry and helps them keep their room tidy. Compared to the small hamper I used, it also has a lot of space for clothes. In their room, the pink stripes look adorable as well.

BirdRock Home Double Laundry Hamper with Lid and Removable Liners - Linen Hampers - Grey Foldable Bin - Easily Transport Clothes - Cut Out Handles – Clothes Basket Review:

This hamper came together easily and has a lovely appearance. If I don't pack the garments down, the mesh inserts are the perfect size for a load of laundry in my machine. The only thing I'm having trouble with is how to secure the mesh bags to the hamper's top. The mesh bags include fabric tabs at each of their four corners that must be passed through loops in the hamper's top and secured with Velcro (see image). After the load is complete, it can be a nuisance to unfasten each of the four tabs, remove them from their loops, and then perform the opposite procedure for each tab. It would have been preferable to use magnets or Velcro to fasten the bag to the hamper directly rather than using tabs and loops. I could probably fix this myself. A pretty good hamper overall.

135L Laundry Cloth Hamper Sorter Basket Bin Foldable 3 Sections with Aluminum Frame 26''×24''H Washing Storage Dirty Clothes Bag for Bathroom Bedroom Home (3 Liner) Review:

I bought this for my mother's garage since she was sorting her laundry in many baskets and wanted a lightweight, robust laundry basket. When I saw this, I fell in love with all three of the dividers as well as the color, so I got it.Because she is so picky and loves this, my mom is incredibly difficult to please. The assembly just took me a few minutes to complete ( I did it for her). In case we need it later, I liked that an extra component was included.I like how light it was, and a 100-pound elderly woman had no trouble carrying it. She also mentioned that she loved having a pocket in the back for organizing tiny items like dirty laundry or bras, which must be placed in a mesh bag before being washed. The handle is extremely comfortable to hold;-)I heartily encourage giving gifts to people like mums.

Camco 42893 Pop-Up Utility Container – 18” x 24” Review:

This was a recent camping trip item we purchased. I wanted something with a little more structure than what we often do, which is to tie a garbage bag to a metal stand (see pic - to the right of the camp stove). This is quite lightweight while still being durable enough for standard camping trash. There is enough bag to pull over the sides of the 30-gallon black Hefty bags, which are the ideal size for this. Once it began to fill with beer cans, I did end up using a binder clip to secure the bag to the container. :)You can cover the can throughout the day thanks to the zippered cover, which is a nice feature. Since we were in a bear-infested area, we did empty it every night and keep it in the truck. The trash bags were not pierced, so the interior of the container didn't get dirty; however, if it had, you could easily wash it out. For carrying the bag inside the container to empty it, there are also handles. There are many comparable goods available, but I chose this one because it has a bottom loop and a stake built in. Despite the fact that there was no wind, it was great to have the option to stake it down if necessary. You might use a tent stake in place of the extremely robust yellow plastic stake. We simply collapsed the container at the conclusion of the journey, fastened it with the given velcro piece, and placed it in the provided storage bag.If you're seeking for a portable garbage can substitute, I highly recommend this.

DOKEHOM 17.7-Inches Large Laundry Basket (9 Colors), Drawstring Waterproof Round Cotton Linen Collapsible Storage Basket (Blue Strips, M) Review:

Beautifully packaged, extraordinarily well made, attractive, long-lasting, a very beautiful size, transportable, solid, and light weight. It is also very nicely packaged to give as a present, if desired.I am 5'4" and weigh 200 pounds; since becoming incapacitated, I have put on 60 pounds. I have a hard time lifting things. Similar, larger laundry baskets are available for considerably less money at stores like Costco, Marshalls, and TJ Maxx, but I find that by the time they are loaded with wash, they become far too heavy to transport. Additionally, they are too large and wide for someone of my height and health difficulties to transport with ease. Even my son, who is in college and owns the larger one, wanted mine instead if you're seeking for a discreetly sized laundry basket. The ideal amount of space is provided for a full load of laundry and possibly a set of linens as well. If the price was lower, I wouldn't think twice about purchasing it again. Normally, I would spend a lot more money on an item like this, but the way it's created, even with its modest size, makes me think that those of you who aren't tall and powerful but yet like well-crafted, efficient products, would enjoy it. This size suits you if you are able to do laundry a little more frequently. It's also a solution to put it in the bathroom where you can store clean towels because it looks nice enough for that. Additionally, the fact that it compresses makes it easy to store and travel making it ideal for everyone, including students. I would place one in every bathroom and bedroom if I could afford more.

Simple Houseware Foldable Laundry Hamper Basket with Lid, Black Review:

For my walk-in closet, I was seeking for a tiny, lightweight hamper. I looked at a few on Amazon, and this one had fantastic reviews and a great appearance. When I choose to compare it to other similar styles, it triumphed over all of the opposition. It was immediately delivered, put together in a matter of seconds, and exactly occupied the area I had allotted for it. The removable lid, which fastens with Velcro, can be folded down on one side and left open while remaining attached. With this buy, I am quite happy.

Simple Houseware Double Laundry Hamper with Lid and Removable Laundry Bags, Black Review:

This hamper has been excellent thus far, but the centre separator is beginning to come apart. The walls must be gradually being pushed out by the clothes inside because the Velcro isn't adhering as well. You might be okay if your hubby doesn't cram the clothes in as mine does. You don't need to take the entire hamper to the washing room because it contains mesh bags on the inside that also fasten with Velcro. The only inconvenience is that each time you put it back in, you have to rejoin those four tabs.

Caroeas Laundry Sorter, Laundry Hamper 3-Bag with Card Pocket & Leather Handle Waterproof Laundry Cart Collapsible Laundry Basket with Brake & Breathable Mesh Cover (Max 3 Layer,Beige) Review:

This compact bathroom setup for five people has been ideal. We spent the longest time looking for a low-profile hamper. Despite there being a container in the corridor, the youngsters continued spilling their towels on the ground. This one will fit in the tiny space between the toilet and bathtub! It also holds enough because of its height! Although I don't mind the natural off-white tone, I do wish they had white. Some listings call themselves white but are not. Color is significant to me because my bathroom is decorated in blue and white, but at least the towels are up off the floor.
