It is excellent and does more than the previous one we had, which was twice as big. In the field, we use it for fluid transfers including hydraulics.New in, out the old.It's fantastic!

With my Harvest Right freeze dryer, I use this oil. No matter what oil you choose, you must replace it after every batch; however, if you put the oil through a filter, all you will need to do is top it off slightly for subsequent runs. You receive a filter with your purchase from Harvest Right now. What I do is this:The oil is first transferred to a mason jar. After that, I gave it a day or so to settle. The bottom will separate and contain many particles while the top will be hazy. For the sake of the longevity of your filter, avoid sending those through. After passing through the filter, the oil may no longer be clear; however, as long as it is not murky or impregnated with particles, a yellow tint is completely okay. The filtered oil can now be used in your vacuum pump; simply top it off with additional Black Gold Vacuum Pump oil to the level recommended on your pump. This bottle of oil has only been used for six batches, so I haven't even finished it yet. When you reach the end of your second bottle, keep the empty bottle and use it to store the remaining oil and particle mixture. Once it is filled, dispose of it carefully all at once.

impressive given the cost. I anticipated a standard slow, poor-quality, but functional kit. What I got was a shockingly high-quality kit, and it functions flawlessly. In roughly 20 seconds, the pump creates a complete (adequate) vacuum in the chamber, and it does so quietly. Notably, no pump oil is included. Buy a little vacuum pump oil on its own.

These never stop moving, much like the Energizer rabbit! I have a few of them on cow water troughs for livestock. After growing tired of them being flipped out of the trough, the hose being chewed on, and all the other different and varied ways curious and tenacious cattle can screw with things, I've done one thing on all of them: 2) On a tub with thin sides and no lip, I drilled a few holes through the trough and bolted the Little Giant bracket to the trough. Alternatively, you might build a guard to cover the float valve and/or the hose coming out of the top so the cattle simply cannot fool with them. In that last instance, the mounting gear just didn't have a firm enough grip to prevent the cattle from yanking it off the tub. However, they are all now either bolted on or protected by a guard and function well.Another issue I've had in the past—probably more so with the metal than the plastic ones, but to some extent with all—is that after a year or two, the Little Giant's hose welds itself into place where it screws in. I'm not sure if this is caused by mineral deposits in my water, but even if the float valve is in good condition, if the hose breaks, I can't remove it from the float valve and must destroy a perfectly good float valve as a result! In order to perhaps avoid that issue, I utilized that thin white thread tape or film on the connection while installing my most recent valves. I haven't had to attempt to unscrew any of those yet.

Just now did I get the 3 gallon kit with pump.Online instructions and information are very clear that the pump must be stopped for safety when the gauge stops moving.In the vacuum chamber, I have numerous tiny, incredibly porous pen blanks covered in Hold Fast stabilizing resin in a 3 quart Pyrex container.I have highly active bubbling and the vacuum maxes out at 28. I stop the pump by closing the inlet valve. After several minutes, the bubbling begins to lessen while the vacuum remains at 28.Since I'm certain that not all of the air in the wood has been released, I restart the pump, open the valve, and the bubbling becomes intense once more.Vacancy remains at 28.I can see that if I don't start the pump, I won't be able to reach the "no bubbles" stage.I thus want your opinion on this. I certainly don't want to implode, but it appears that running the pump is the only way I'm going to stabilize.Edited on September 26: BACO service has cooperated with me to address any problems and has demonstrated concern that they fulfill the customer.In the future, I wouldn't think twice about buying their stuff.

I purchased the one gallon size to secure knife handles and other items. It is far superior to my own system. I filled the pump with oil (separately purchased) and ran a level check while doing so. Once the cover was on, it operated quickly. pulled a vacuum in under a minute to -24. At this altitude, that is the best any size pump could manage (5500 ft above sea). My favourite. Wish I had ordered a larger size pot, but my wife gave me one of hers in exchange. In the two months I've had it, I've used it about a dozen times total. I heartily endorse it.
