Yes, magnetic stirrers can be heated. In fact, many models come with a heating element built in, making them ideal for applications that require both stirring and heating.
In order to sterilize a stir bar, you need to autoclave it. But what is autoclaving? Autoclaving is a process of using steam under pressure to kill microorganisms. So, can you autoclave a stir bar? The answer is yes, you can autoclave a stir bar.
Hot plate stirrers work by using a rotating magnetic field to stir a liquid or slurry on a hot plate. The hot plate provides heat to the liquid, while the stirrer prevents the liquid from burning or boiling over. The speed of the stirrer can be adjusted to control the amount of heat that is applied to the liquid.
There are many factors to consider when choosing a stir bar. The size of the bar and the type of material it is made from are both important. The size of the bar will determine how much liquid it can stir, and the material it is made from will determine how well it will withstand being used in different types of liquids. The most common type of stir bar is made from stainless steel. This material is durable and can be used in most types of liquids. However, it is important to note that stainless steel can react with some chemicals. If you are using a stir bar

This is what I'm using for aromatherapy. I had a little plate that did nothing more than stir. But I like one that also heated. When I was a chemist, I used hotplates very similar to these, and they were excellent. Larger pans on the stove may be overkill since most home aromatherapists only prepare small batches. I combine and gently heat materials in glass beakers of various sizes that have stirring magnets in the bottom. Controlling the heat and stirring processes is simple. Everything can be melted and blended directly in the glass containers I intend to store the finished product in. Once melted, I turn off the heat, stir until it has cooled down a bit, add the essential oils, take the stirring magnet out, cap it, and presto! My product is ready for use.

On Amazon, I looked at a lot of magnetic stirrers. I read the reviews (as I often do) and decided to spend a bit more money on this particular gadget rather than opting for one of the many other affordable options on Amazon. This stirrer is excellent, so I'm pleased I did. It is reliable, easy to use, and predictable (which is one thing reviewers of the cheap analog heated stirrers had complained about, inconsistent heat). You will value the quality of this if you want to use priceless materials on this gadget. 4 e's Scientific saved my pocketbook because I didn't want to shell out $600 or $700 for one. I was happy that it arrived fast and in a timely manner. Many thanks

The design is straightforward but functional, the machine runs quietly, and the capacity is ideal for brewing. Imperial a09 Pub, which has to be the thickest and stickiest yeast I've ever used, was tried, and I had no issues using 2 full liters. In addition, I tested a regular wide mouth quart, a 1/2 gallon growler, and a 1 gallon kitchen jar, which are non-traditional containers. All spun smoothly at regular speeds. The bottom dome of the 5 gallon carboy I also tried to use was too thick.Overall extremely impressive, and a DIY project is difficult to justify at this price. My previous three DIY projects have all cost $5 to $10 in parts, struggled with balance, and worn out shortly.

Out of the box, it performed as intended. The gadget then ran with reduced performance and a scraping noise after some time in storage, with the stirring bar being held to the plate by its magnetic force. When I opened it, I discovered that the glue holding the rotating platform of the internal magnets to the container had failed on one side, causing the stirring bar's attraction to pull one internal magnet out of its socket and cause it to begin scraping the plate's bottom from the inside. I discovered the glue to be still moist but quickly dried after removing the magnet. The glue that was used during assembly, which I assume needs oxygen to cure, was applied and sealed by the placement of the magnet so quickly that it could not have dried after it left the factory until I took out the loose magnet and let it air dry once again. I repaired the item by cleaning the magnet and socket and applying my homemade adhesive. My situation might be exceptional, but if yours slows down and produces a scraping sound, it might be simple to fix with a Phillips screwdriver and some homemade adhesive. (Be aware of the polarity of any removed magnets. Reversing it would render the gadget ineffective.)

I purchased this magnetic stirrer after seeing a fellow spinning top collector's video demonstrating how a wooden top, which typically has a relatively short spin period, may spin endlessly when subjected to the magnetic vortex produced by this apparatus. It's rather amazing to watch how things that we normally consider to be non-magnetic actually respond to magnetism, so I had to purchase my own stirrer. This stirrer lacks a physical power switch and is purported to be turned off by simply spinning the control dial to the complete counterclockwise position. It is less expensive but has a greater RPM rating than the one I observed in use. However, the instruction booklet advises against leaving the device plugged in for an extended period of time, leading one to infer that the control dial's minimal setting still permits the application of a tiny amount of electricity, maybe at the risk of potential harm. Because I already had some inline DC power switches (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XX4LXWJ), I added one for the AC adaptor this stirrer came with, and now I have a switch that actually works. The highest spin you're likely to accomplish while stirring a solution with the supplied stirrer bar is, I'm assuming, the stated RPMs for these magnetic stirrers. I monitored the stirrer bar's speed using a laser tachometer while it was rotating on the stainless steel plate. I found that the bar reached 2800 rpm before the stirrer could no longer contain it and it slipped off the platform. A fidget spinner spinning on its own bearing as it simply stood flat on the stirrer reached 4800 rpm, while a hefty 590g brass top spinning on the stirrer reached a maximum of 1300 rpm. This leads me to believe that the motor system powering the stirring movement is actually capable of spinning faster than the allowed 3500 rpm. I'm pleased with the results I'm getting, and as long as this stirrer holds up to my unusual use, I don't really have any complaints.

Use this for mixing and steeping e-juice. I adore that it offers more temperature and faster mixing options than my Nitecore. As there is no digital display for the temperature, you will either need a laser thermometer or a thermometer that you can attach to the provided stand. I decided to use a laser thermometer, which I got from this page on Amazon. This has been fantastic thus far!

This is what I use for aromatherapy. I had a tiny plate, but I needed one that could heat as well. When I was a chemist, I used hotplates very similar to these, and they were excellent. Having larger pots on the burner may be unnecessary because most home aromatherapists only create small batches. I combine and gently heat materials in glass beakers of various sizes that have stirring magnets in the bottom. Controlling the heat and stirring processes is simple. For individuals who are unfamiliar with this kind of device, I advise practicing with water first and never utilizing plastic containers when using the heating function. However, it works perfectly when preparing tiny amounts of salves or moisturizers. Everything can be melted and blended directly in the glass containers I intend to store the finished product in. Once melted, I turn off the heat, stir until it has cooled down a bit, add the essential oils, take the stirring magnet out, put the lid on, and presto—my product is ready for use! I can complete whatever I need to do on this!
A stir bar is a small rod, usually made of magnetic material, that is used to stir liquids in a container. The stir bar is placed in the liquid and the container is placed on a stir plate. The stir plate has a magnet in it that turns the stir bar. The stir bar helps to mix the liquid and keep it from settling.
There are two types of stirrers: magnetic stirrers and mechanical stirrers. Magnetic stirrers use a magnetic field to rotate a stir bar inside a container, while mechanical stirrers use a rotating impeller to create turbulence.
The word stirs can mean different things depending on the context. It can mean to mix or to agitate something, or to cause something to happen. It can also be used as a verb meaning to move something gently.
A scientific stirrer is called a magnetic stirrer. It is a device that uses a rotating magnetic field to stir fluids.
A stir plate is a device used to create a vortex in a liquid. The device consists of a platform that rotates at a high speed and a magnet that is placed in the liquid. The magnet creates a magnetic field that interacts with the rotating platform to create the vortex.
