I adore these skillets. They still appear brand new even though I've had them for six months and use them virtually daily. There isn't a mark or flaw on them. Aluminum that has been hard anodised is a little-known and misunderstood substance. Aluminum that is soft and malleable is anodized to create a material that is almost as strong as cast iron, but weighs much less. It's the ideal substance for pots, and particularly frying pans. (One suggestion: Ignore the gimmicky red dot and proceed with your normal cooking.) These pans offer all the benefits of cast iron without the need to season them first, won't rust, won't need to be scrubbed vigorously, and, it seems, won't ever scratch or dent. They virtually as uniformly preheat and maintain heat as cast iron, but have the benefit of quicker response times when the heat is changed. They can withstand a fair amount of heat and effectively sear a piece of fresh salmon, poultry, or beef. And nothing at all adheres to them. I can attest to this because one evening I was preparing a pot of marinara sauce and dozed off in my couch. I woke up three or four hours later to discover two cans of San Marzano tomatoes that had been carbonized. There goes that pan, I thought. But once the pan had cooled, a piece of paper towel quickly removed the debris. The pan was unharmed; a quick wipe with a sponge dipped in soap restored its immaculate appearance.In addition, I appreciate that this set comes with a huge covered Dutch oven in addition to the customary two sauce pots of various sizes. This package includes everything you need to prepare a batch of stew, make a pot of rice, or heat up a can of soup.You can take my word for it that these are as nice as or better than any professional quality pots and pans I've ever used (some of which cost as much as or more than this entire set). I'm a retired professional chef. They are adaptable and may meet all of your cooking requirements.I can only think of one drawback to my purchase. This set cost me $10.00 extra when I purchased them! :(I kid you not! The ten dollars mean absolutely nothing to me. They are well worth the money I spent on them. But they currently represent a really good value! And no, even though I wouldn't mind it if I was, I wasn't paid or otherwise rewarded for this review. I just want to give credit where credit is due and I know what I enjoy. The Amazon's Choice label proves that T-Fal produced an excellent product at an affordable price.

There isn't a better deal on cookware, in my opinion. Copper frying pans are not worth the powder to blow them up, in my experience. After using them, I gave the green non-stick pans the same rating as the copper ones. I looked everywhere for good frying pans, and Amazon Basics had what I was looking for. These are by far the best I've ever used, and I'm in my late seventies. I enjoy using olive oil when I cook, but they are absolutely NON-STICK whether I use oil or not! The only drawback I can think of is that Amazon's advertisement would have you believe that these containers have lids, but it's not a big concern. Although I adore cast iron, these work well on my glass top stove. And to top it all off, they are just as beautiful as any pan from the upper class or that costs more money. You simply cannot go wrong for the price.

If you take care of the nonstick surface, it will continue to function flawlessly.Purchase them not believing you are getting the best. These are excellent value for the money and work well as a kitchen starter kit. You should replace them towards the end of the year or so.

We purchased this set around the holidays, and we've been using it ever since. I've only recently begun to cook, and this set has been incredibly useful in making the entire "learn to cook" process more enjoyable. I've used each and every piece of the set, and it's been wonderful every time! Everything actually wipes off the surface if you merely wipe it with a tissue, making cleanup incredibly simple (I wipe off all the grease with tissue before I wash them).The lids/covers have a gap (see photo for reference) between the glass and metal where food particles and oil get stuck and make cleaning difficult (cleaning the pots and pans in the set is easy but the lids/covers take some work), but other than that, I love this purchase! This is why I gave it 4 stars.

This pot set is excellent. I got it to use in a second house. They cook delicious food and clean up quickly. Contrary to what some of the reviews said about the pots' weight, I have not found their light weight to be a detriment to the way they cook. While I use these pots, my Staub and Le Creuset pots are on the shelf. They are genuinely nonstick and heat evenly. The new colored knobs give the kitchen a splash of color. I strongly advise.

I made the decision to postpone writing this review for a bit because I wanted to utilize them for at least a few weeks before rating and reviewing them. Remember that as I've never used stainless steel cookware before, I can't truly compare this set to others. I've only ever used a wide variety of non-stick sets. (I've never actually BOUGHT a set of cookware; all of the others have been presents of some kind.) Teflon, ceramic, "green pan," copper chef, etc.Out of all the comparisons and other reviews, I chose them instead of a set that Calphalon was drastically discounting at the time (a set with copper on the exterior, stainless on the inside, and aluminum core), mostly because the copper would most likely tarnish and become extremely unattractive. Sauce pans were also evaluated by America's Test Kitchen. Naturally, All-clad, the victor, was well outside of my financial range. This will be typical of pretty much any stainless steel cookware that is multi- or all-clad. Stick with hard anodized or something similar if you don't like this.thermal shock. The last thing you want to do is take this out of the oven and run it under cold water. Honestly, this should go without saying. I've read professional reviews where they've done this and the pan has worked just fine. But by doing this, you face the major risk of warping ANY cookware. Simply put, don't do that.Now for the expertsReally, there isn't much to say about stainless steel. The pans will endure forever as long as you don't abuse them because both the inner and outer surfaces are made of stainless steel. There isn't a non-stick surface that gradually becomes a justification for discarding it.Heats quickly and evenly thanks to the sandwich construction of the stainless steel and aluminum cores of these pans. It would help if my stove top were more level, but there isn't much I can do about that without changing the entire top because the entire stove is level. I've made frittata and many other things and get a pretty constant cook across the entire thing.I've poured out sauces, soups, bacon grease, etc. from the tapered rim. Everything streams out really easily and smoothly. Considering that I always have a paper towel or other handy item to wipe the edge, I can't say for sure if it's drip-free. due to habit.Yes, I've seen a lot of reviews indicating that these cause cooked eggs to stick terribly. It's the only thing that made me wait two weeks before I even considered making over-easy eggs for these. I can confidently state that eggs swirl on these pans just as well as they swirl on a brand-new non-stick pan. Of course, you need to prepare the pan and make sure the heat is just correct. Even though I haven't tried it, I think eggs would work well with butter alone. Typically, I'll add about 1/8th of a teaspoon of canola oil to the preheated pan, cover the top and the sides with a paper towel, and let it sit for a few seconds before adding some butter to the bottom. No eggs have ever stuck to me before. In fact, I got rid of the old 8" nonstick pan that I had been saving for eggs.Cooking is considerably more predictable, and you use a lot less heat, thanks to the pans' even heating and exceptional conductivity. I used to cook the majority of stuff on medium high in my old pans. With these, I've discovered that medium has been equivalent. Polenta, rice, and other grains all cook deliciously because you can simply set the heat to low and leave them alone. Since I've always had glass lids, at first I was a little concerned that the lids wouldn't be see-through, but now I don't really mind.Overall, every time I use this cookware, I find myself exclaiming, "I Love these pans!!!" Food has never seemed to "stick" to them. at least to the point where the food is being ruined. Fish and pancakes are the two things I haven't tested, although I would assume that both would stick. You're doing it incorrectly if food is sticking to the pan at all times. Most likely, you've overheated the pan. You should be able to sort it out if you watch some YouTube videos about how to use stainless steel cookware properly.

I adore these pans so much! My initial set of non-stick pots and pans broke down after only a week. They were inexpensive, so perhaps I should have anticipated that. I chose T-fal after conducting some research on long-lasting pans. They are still effective but less expensive. They have been in use by me for four months. It's not a joke, the non-stick. Even though I'm not the best cook in the world and haven't burned anything on these pans yet, nothing really sticks to them. Everything is so effortless that life is simple and happy as a result.
