The majority of my rifle cases are SKB i-series cases, and these logs suit those cases perfectly. They immediately contrast with the black rifle case because to their bright gold color, making them visible. Guns must be transported unloaded in a closed compartment where I live in California. If I am stopped over or something, the contrasting locks only make them easier to see by police. The locks are strong enough to open without fumbling. I don't know about you, but I used to lock my travel cases using those tiny little suit case locks. Because the lock and key for those suitcase locks are so little, you must struggle with them in order to put them on and take them off the case. I don't have to do that because these locks are large and sturdy enough. Of course, they are also small enough to pass through the padlock-compatible holes on the case.

I wasn't having the best of luck trying to find a lock that would fit my inexpensive 50 cal ammo container. I chose to try this lock after purchasing two others that would not fit without altering the can. I decided to write a review because I couldn't find much information online regarding precisely what lock would work and to help other people who were looking for a lock to use in the same situation. I'm delighted to say that if you don't want to modify your ammo can and risk damaging the watertight seal, this looks to be the ideal lock to use. No alterations are necessary, and it is securely locked; there is no way to enter without the key or by breaking the lock. For the remaining ammunition cans, I'll be purchasing a bulk supply of keys that are identical.

However, it is manufactured by MASTER, who have existed for as long as I can recall. This lock is regarded as being of light duty. I might think about using it for my toolbox or shed. Nobody will engage in it. The enclosure is surrounded by a strong blue plastic that protects anything you are locking. The diameter of the metal U-shaped piece is just right; it's not tacky like a suitcase lock or too big for a locker. The key has a fair size and a square plastic housing that gives you a good grip. It fulfills my needs in that regard.

fantastic stuff Despite the other feedback, I did receive a wide 2-inch shackle. I love that each lock comes with two keys and that there is one key that fits all locks. It was exactly as described. Amazing price—better than purchasing from a store where I checked. My gates are now locked, and each tenant has a key. We were having problems with the homeless, so I didn't want a dog attack that wasn't necessary. great purchase I'm grateful.

This replaced a lock from a brand that is no longer available and I use it on a cargo van overhead door lock. I avoided making that error because to the reviews of the Master-lock discus style. To date, this lock has performed perfectly. During rainy conditions, a lot of road grime and dirt are thrown up on the back of the box. It hasn't yet required a flush to remove the dirt, but it will eventually, at which point I can provide an update.

Recently, things have started to take off and wander off my land. I have therefore been taking all necessary precautions to safeguard what is still left. I bought one of these locks specifically to secure my riding lawnmower to a post. I might not be able to prevent a theft, but I'll do my best. In addition to the standard door appearance, I have one on my pool gate and one on each of my two businesses or sheds. It's great that they all fit into one set. They are not very large or hefty locks, but they are nice-sized and accomplished just what I wanted. They worked out wonderfully. The fact that the group shares the same key makes it simple to keep track of them, which I find to be a pleasant touch. Two keys are included with the set, and they work with all locks. As a result, I don't have to search for a key on every lock, and my husband and I both have our own key. The locks operate easily and engage properly. None of the four locks have given me any trouble or problems. They should at least discourage would-be thieves. affordable locks that work well. I would advise.

Just what I required. I purchased a generic 2-pack from the Smile Face Monster store last year. The springs quickly failed, making it exceedingly challenging to close the lock. These ones from Master Lock are a lot smoother. I searched in a few home improvement stores, but this item is substantially cheaper on Amazon.I use these to secure my helmet to the rear rack of the bike and my ammo can saddle packs. Any skilled thief can now pick them, but having everything locked makes me much more at ease when I enter a store.The four locks being keyed alike is incredibly convenient. They give you two keys, which is excellent in my book.They are not very weatherproof, therefore I only rated them four stars. These will corrode if left outside in the rain since the shackle lacks a protective coating and water can get inside the locking mechanisms. Since they are not constantly outside, this is not a concern for me. 'Here are some pictures of the size I needed next to a quarter, a standard-sized bic lighter, and the normal subpar combination lock they produce because it took me a while to figure it out.

This lock has a reasonable level of low security. I went to Home Depot looking for cheap padlocks, but all they had were warded locks, which aren't any more safe than putting up a sign saying "Keep Out." This lock has a proper pin tumbler mechanism and opens easily.It includes one or more security pins to make it more challenging to pick, however the Lock Wiki claims that it is an introductory lock that many "locksport" groups use to teach newbies how to get around security pins. For this reason, I believe it to have low security. Even so, it is still more challenging than locks without these pins, and in everyday use, lock pickers are often not a concern. It is a definite winner in the $5 price bracket.

For those of us in the Locksport Community, we are all aware that Master Lock is the target of several jokes because of the abject failure of their products. This padlock is a singular exception, though. The body of this lock is composed of plastic, and it is NOT intended to withstand physical assaults. However, it's excellent practice for anyone wishing to hone or maintain their abilities with spool and serrated pins because it has a 6-pin core that contains all security pin drivers. You can see inside the lock in the photographs I've attached. The plastic body of the lock housing is sealed and cannot be opened. My own was torn apart at the seam, which I super-glued back together. The plug has a typical Master Lock keyway, however because to the small size of the entire core, using a pick can be a little challenging. Additionally, since the core is dead, there is no spring strain on the plug. As a result, precise tension becomes crucial, which is another another excellent technique. My lock has six regular key pins, five spool drivers, one serrated driver with two evenly spaced serrations, and I believe yours would too. You simply can't compete with this lock for costs in the single digits. If only someone could convince Master Lock to pin ALL of their locks in this manner...[***WARNING***] The key is put into a plastic body aperture that is guarded so that the plug can only spin 90 degrees before halting when the key is turned to unlock it. If you are able to pick the lock, DO NOT turn the plug even close to 180 degrees. Stop at 90, just like the key. This is necessary because if the core is rotated 180 degrees, all of the key pins in the plug will dislodge and fall out of the lock's body. Then, you'll have no choice but to discard it or break it open and repin it. If you pick the lock and rotate the plug too much, you can see in one of my images how the lock will appear once it is cracked open. The key pins are all loosely scattered inside a cavity.
