A desk with a keyboard tray is often seen as a more ergonomic option, as it allows you to place your keyboard and mouse at a comfortable height. This can help reduce strain on your wrists and arms.
There are pros and cons to using a desk with a keyboard tray. The biggest advantage is that it can help you maintain good posture while you type. Having the keyboard at a comfortable height can help reduce strain on your wrists and arms. It can also help you keep your monitor at eye level, which can help reduce neck and back pain. The downside to using a keyboard tray is that it can be tricky to find one that fits your specific desk. And, if you have a smaller desk, it can take up valuable space. Overall, though, a keyboard tray can be a
Keyboard drawers are not worth it because they are not durable and tend to break easily. They also do not offer much protection from dust and dirt.
Adding a keyboard tray to a desk with a drawer is possible, but may not be the best option. If the drawer is on the same side as the keyboard tray, it may be difficult to open and close the drawer. Also, the drawer may get in the way of the keyboard tray when it is extended. If the drawer is on the opposite side of the desk from the keyboard tray, it may be easier to use, but it may be more difficult to reach items in the drawer.

One of my all-time favorite purchases is this one. For a while now, I've been making an effort to use less sticky notes, which tend to clog up the front of my desk. I can write down a quick job, check it off, and/or delete it when I complete it. Additionally, I include weekly activities on one side, daily tasks on the other, and brief notes that I may delete throughout the day in the center (thus the use of sticky notes:-). I also use a side drawer with four dividers to keep my additional markers, paper clips, and other supplies organized. On the tray atop the board, I keep the markers I use the most frequently. This item comes with a black marker that also has an eraser on it. Only two problems and one recommendation, in my opinion, might really push this item over the top. 1. Because of the glare and reflection, it is difficult to read what has been written on the board. Either the glass or the background should be a different color. As I write this, I'm considering trying to see if I can slide a piece of paper with a light color behind the glass to see if that helps. 2. Provide an eraser or cloth that is separate from the marker so that we are not forced to use the top until we buy a replacement when the marker dries. 3. Have movable legs so we can change the item's angles for comfort and to reduce glare. This suited me just fine. I'll be all ready if I can only locate some dry-erase sticky notes, lol. I appreciate you cleaning up my workspace!

It was a little more difficult to type on the keyboard because the back of the tray was a little higher than I had anticipated. Even though my hands were at a little strange angle, I was able to correct it. Overall, I particularly enjoy the keyboard tray because I don't like how flat modern keyboards are. I enjoy how my new tray's front lip is much smaller and doesn't obstruct the keyboard like my old one did. Any of my employees would have my endorsement for this.

This is without a doubt my favorite new office supply. I usually waste a ton of paper and write a ton of post-it notes. I purchased this in an effort to reduce that, and I adore it. In fact, after I got mine and told my friends and coworkers about it, several of them went out and bought them. It looks wonderful immediately in front of my keyboard, uses no additional space, and makes it simple for me to take notes when my boss makes passing requests so I don't forget. A daily to-do list and other fast reference materials are often kept by me. And occasionally I just use it as a drawing surface. One is a necessity for every desk! No problems with markers not completely erasing; it's fashionable and professional, and I'm the envy of the office.

I don't have enough area for an office because of my little space. With the cupboard underneath, it would have been nearly impossible to convert my console into a workstation without drilling holes, but this keyboard tray made it easy. At first, I didn't believe the screw holes matched up, but after I flipped the bracket, I realized they did. photos to demonstrate how the tray is positioned on top of the bracket. Without any assistance, I completed the installation in approximately 20 minutes. When I first tried to secure it, I assumed I would need to add a block to the lip, but the bottom clamp swivels and neatly avoids the opening. It is quite durable. I could have avoided the expense of buying a new workstation by just pulling my stool over so that my feet are flat on the ground and my elbows are almost at a 90-degree angle. Since the tray is striking the console's top support bar and isn't retracting all the way, I might attempt carving a notch in it in the future. However, it is hardly evident up close.

My Ikea standing desk has a metal beam running through the middle underneath the desk surface, making it impossible to mount a tilting keyboard tray because the standard design has a long metal component that extends well past the center of the beam. I therefore ordered this clamp-on tray. The device is quite durable and solid, and the keyboard and mouse tray have a good-sized surface area. I have additional space for the mouse since I use a short mechanical keyboard without a numpad, but even with a full keyboard, you would still have enough of room. The installation goes quite quickly—less than 15 minutes—and the tray slips in and out without much difficulty.Having saying that, there are a few limitations with this tray. For starters, it is a non-tilting one, thus my wrists are still little sore. Even though I got a keyboard wedge, I tried using it backwards to create a negative angle (hands lower than elbows), but it doesn't really function properly without an arm rest. I ultimately decided on a positive angle and raised my standing desk so that my wrists, fingers, and elbows are all in a straight line, with the fingers being the highest and the elbows being the lowest. You might want to think twice if your desk cannot be adjusted. The tray's surface is so slippery that the keyboard may really roll off of it. However, I can easily fix the issue by putting a piece of rubbery kitchen drawer liner under the keyboard. The tray seems to be missing a few little parts, which is my main problem about this product. Unfortunately, the product doesn't come with anything to lock it, so while I type, the tray would ultimately slide back under the desk. The side rails of the tray contain rectangular holes that can be used to lock it into a specific position, as you can see from the product photo. But altogether, I'm still happy with the purchase, especially in light of the shoddy ratings of competing goods.

I wanted to add a drawer to my fold-up table that I use for my computer workstation so that I could store pens and post-its, but I was unsure how to do it because my table has a 1-inch square hole "aluminum lip at edge Only a few reviews specifically addressed adding shims (thankfully, one reviewer mentioned using wood). When opening and closing, I wanted my drawer to feel sturdy and robust. Therefore, I went to my neighborhood hardware store and purchased a 1" x 3" scrap of wood for only 29 cents! I then cut two pieces to fit between the two edges on the underside of my table, painted the wood pieces satin black with a can of primer/color spray that I already owned because I wanted it to match the underside of my table (yeah, I wanted it to look nice), and lightly sanded the fiberboard underneath with 220 grit sandpaper. The drawer was then mounted after I marked the bracket holes and predrilled them to prevent splitting the wood. It's gorgeous! It also works! I absolutely adore my new "desk."Although I am aware that the drawer will block the fold-up legs, when I tested them after installing the drawer, the legs lie about 4 "away from the table, so if I move, I'll wrap the table's legs in stretch wrap. Alternatively, I could just unscrew the drawer's eight fasteners (four on each side) to make it easier to transport. Please look at my photos. I hope this is useful to someone else. Additionally, I added the monitor stand by stretching my budget, which allows me to adjust the height of my monitor and create a space on my new "desk" where I can slide my keyboard when I need more workspace. I am unable to install a typical under-desk keyboard tray with a rail since my Ikea desk has a crossbar across it. The rails on this Fellowes tray install "over" (i.e., out of the way of) my crossbar, making it the ideal solution for me. To better illustrate my review, I've included images. (6) The crossbar "Fortunately, it was located between the two rail anchor points, between the back and front edges of the desk. Using the template that was provided, I carefully positioned the tray such that the dotted line was parallel to the front edge of my desk. This will result in the tray's front edge—the keyboard wristpad—continuing to protrude past the front edge of your desk even after it has been entirely stowed away, as several other reviewers have noted. While a little unattractive, this is my only alternative because, with the tray fully pulled in, there is almost no space between the crossbar and my keyboard. Due of this problem, I had to select the greatest height setting, which was 2 1/2 ". With this buy, I'm pretty pleased.

I take my time with the majority of my purchases, reading reviews and doing extensive research. Although I wasn't really sure about this keyboard tray, I chose to give it a shot. I'm happy I did. I do occasionally lean on the tray, which is made of a sturdy plastic material. It doesn't wiggle or shift position. Yes, it doesn't lock into place, but I don't mind that. If you happen to contact the tray with your belly, it really doesn't move at all (at least mine doesn't; the tray is a little stiff to push in). In less than 5 minutes, my husband and I put the tray together. GO OVER EVERY REVIEW FOR THIS PRODUCT. If you do, you'll be aware of where to place each screw. You'll also be aware that the tray needs to be installed further back if you want it to push in flush with the edge of your desk. This tray is fitted in my home office. It's an Ikea hollow core kind. It's the ideal tray. Although it does have an edge, it prevents your tray and mouse from falling off. You won't notice the edge on your wrist when typing if you utilize the keyboard's wrist pad. There isn't much room for a mouse, according to reviewers. I don't have any issues at all using an Anker ergonomic mouse. I work as a web designer and spend a lot of time on the computer. I have a more expensive ergonomic keyboard tray at work, but I prefer this cheaper tray in my home office much more. I think it's a great tray for the money.

This item would receive 2-3 stars if I were to rate it based on why I purchased it. I now understand that I didn't buy the wrong tool for the job; rather, I was just misinformed about its intended use. Despite this, the product still has certain flaws, earning it only four stars. For anybody who might be considering purchasing this tray for the same reasons I did, let's start by listing everything it is NOT. Not just a keyboard tray, though. It is 27 "wide. Nearly two keyboards can fit on it. This is not the best option if you're seeking for something small to hold your keyboard. This shouldn't be utilized with a sit-down desk (unless your desk is ridiculously high). The keyboard freezes six "you will undoubtedly smack your knees on a sit-down desk, which is underneath the desk. A small coffee mug can possibly be placed on the tray before being closed. Now that it is obvious, let's discuss the few issues I ran into: It does not move smoothly. The tray will never come out straight because each side of the tray has its own slider. Unless you miraculously grab the dead center of the keyboard while removing it, one side of the tray will likely be in front of the other. It's not a major issue, and while I was playing with it, the tray never became stuck, but it wasn't as as enjoyable as a well-made drawer. If you turn the screw too far in the wrong direction, the clamp head will separate. A closer look at the clamp revealed that it was only held to the screw head by a very small piece of metal, which was almost a deal breaker. I was able to find the piece that I broke off and partially repair it so that I could clip the head back on. Although it appears to be functioning, I kind of wish the clamp head were mounted on a ball joint rather than dangling haphazardly and being merely pinned in place. If you attempt to put the clamp to an uneven surface, the clamp head will probably come off as well. This would go perfectly with a standing desk that requires a tray for a keyboard and mouse, in my opinion. Because of how it hangs, it's simple to keep small monitors at eye level and avoid raising your arms very high when typing.

I've only now had a chance to install the keyboard mount. Overall, I'd say that in terms of the design, craftsmanship, and quality, it has thus far surpassed my expectations. Because of the unfavorable reviews, I was on the fence about making this purchase. I made the decision to drill an additional mounting hole in the front of the undermount track assembly to add an additional point of support when I installed it (under a solid oak tabletop). The design works perfectly under my desk since I can move it such that the keyboard slides below the track without being obstructed and I still have room to get my legs and knees under it without running into it. To be more useful, I believe the swivel feature should have a second point of rotation at the front of the elevation arm, directly beneath the keyboard stand. This is set up on a corner desk, which makes it more difficult to watch numerous monitors.
Most office desks come with a keyboard tray built in, but if yours doesn't, you can usually add one on. Look for a model that fits the width of your desk and attaches to the underside. Be sure to measure how much space you have underneath your desk before you buy, as some keyboard trays require more clearance than others.
A keyboard tray is a small, flat surface that sits on top of a desk and provides a place to rest your hands and wrists while typing. Many people find keyboard trays helpful in preventing pain and discomfort while working at a computer. While keyboard trays are not as popular as they once were, many people still find them to be a helpful tool in preventing pain and discomfort while working at a computer. If you are considering using a keyboard tray, be sure to consult with a healthcare professional to ensure it is the right solution for you.
If you're looking to add drawers to your desk but don't have a drawer to work with, there are a few different options you can explore. One option is to purchase a drawer unit that can be attached to the underside of your desk. Another option is to build your own drawer unit using wood or metal brackets. You could also look for a used dresser or cabinet that you can repurpose into a desk with drawers. Whichever option you choose, be sure to measure the space underneath your desk before making a purchase or starting a project to ensure a good fit.
Most people agree that a keyboard tray should be shallow in order to keep the keyboard close to the user and to minimize the risk of the keyboard sliding off the tray. Some keyboard trays are as shallow as 3 inches, while others are as deep as 6 inches. Ultimately, the depth of the keyboard tray should be based on the depth of the keyboard and the preference of the user.
When choosing a keyboard tray, it is important to first determine the amount of space you have available and the size of the keyboard you need to accommodate. It is also important to consider the adjustability of the tray to ensure a comfortable typing experience.
When looking for a new drawer, it is important to consider the quality. There are a few things you can look for to tell if a drawer is good quality. One thing to look for is how the drawer is constructed. A good quality drawer will be made with solid wood, not particle board or other lower quality materials. The drawer should also have dovetail joinery, which is a type of joinery that is very strong and will last a long time. Another thing to look for is the drawer slides. A good quality drawer will have slides that are
