Compared to other ring adjusters I've used before, it performs better. Much more comfort is provided. I almost don't even remember it's there. My fingers experience extreme temperature swings. I've tried the ring-attached ones that are entirely unnoticeable. I had to change it every week because those don't cling very well. Not only that, but none of the pre-cut ones fit my engagement ring, so I had to resize the resizer as well (ouch!).But since I couldn't risk losing my gorgeous ring, I decided to find a different solution. Since it is not entirely invisible, I was initially hesitant to purchase this one. It's possible to see the plastic if you look closely. Although it is very thin and fits the ring snugly, I eventually grew used to it. I was able to accept the fact that most people only notice the rock and not the ground. If you don't hold it close to you, you can hardly see it. Similar to a cell phone cover, which has a tiny section that protrudes just enough to prevent the ring itself from touching a surface, the plastic really acts as an additional buffer/protector against things that I grasp so it doesn't scratch the ring.I adore how snug my ring is now and how unlikely it is to slide off or get scratched.
