To create bails for the jewelry I am producing, I ordered this. Only three times, and those were with practice wire, have I actually utilized it. I haven't wasted any wire that I've used and had to start over with in order to get it correct, and if I have any left over from a piece I'm producing, I'm not throwing it away either. This tool will require some skill, but I believe it is already a useful addition to my jewelry toolbox, which is steadily expanding. I wanted the bails to look more standardized and polished than they did before I started learning as I made them. Yes! Even though I still need to work to perfect this tool, I am satisfied with it nonetheless. I am aware that I need to be cautious and gentle with this so as not to scuff the coating off any wire I am using. Purchase this instrument if you wish to make bails or do anything else with it that you have in mind. Just be careful not to treat it roughly to avoid stripping the wire's coating, which you might be dealing with. I genuinely believe this is a useful addition to my toolkit. I'll post about how this is going for me with the jewelry bails once I've had it long enough to get used to it and use it without taking too much time.

This is why it's difficult to recommend it for starting beadworkers. However, I quickly required a backup set for some silver spring rings and charms, and these worked well and were pleasant to wear. Although the tips aren't as precisely ground as those in a more expensive tool set, I had no trouble manipulating and closing sterling jump rings. Happy with my purchase because, in my opinion, it was good value for the money spent. Although it's not a heavy-duty set, I'd recommend it to anyone as a backup. (For more intricate wire work, I'd choose more expensive tools.) Might purchase a few sets as presents!

The jewelry tool kit is adequate. The pliers are adequate for working on jewelry pieces despite not being constructed of very fine and durable metal. The wire cutting plier is excellent for cutting jewelry-size wire because of its size and relatively sharp wire cutting blades. The clips and accompanying magnifying glass are nice. Even though the online image makes the item appear larger than it actually is, the object is still quite handy. The plastic caliper is constructed of cheap plastic, but it is not as useful to me. Along with the clap, lock, and pins, the elastic cable and wires that come with it are quite lovely. They are of good quality and are really helpful.
