Beautural 1800-Watt Steam Iron with Digital LCD Screen, Double-Layer and Ceramic Coated Soleplate, 3-Way Auto-Off, 9 Preset Temperature and Steam Settings for Variable Fabric Review:

initial problem with the bleaching: When I use the steam button, my garments get bleached marks! Apart from that, I like the iron therefore I'm not returning it till I've tried every troubleshooting method. I'm going to run the self cleaning to see if it clears out because I'm not sure if there is something in the water rez that is causing this.UPDATE: Follow the instructions for the self-cleaning process before using the iron. This will get rid of any impurities in the water that might have been bleaching it.Wherever you plug it in, keep in mind that it also places a significant load on the electrical system.UPDATE: The manufacturer contacted me after reading my review here to offer to help me with any problems I was having with the iron. I'm pleased that they gave exceptional customer service.Pros: *Heats up quickly; *Heavy so I don't have to press down to iron; *Easy to use the controls.Cons: *When I hit the steam button, it has so far left bleached-out stains where the steam emerges. (See photo I've attached.)*It puts too much of a strain on the electricity in any of my other outlets, so I had to hook it into my kitchen's GFI outlet using a long extension wire. Make sure you have a good outlet on a line that isn't using a lot of other electrical devices if you live in an older house with outdated wiring. A line that can handle a refrigerator, air conditioner, or other high-energy appliances is ideal. Use this separately from any other high-power electrical appliances, such as hair dryers, microwaves, etc.

Steamfast SF-717 Mini Steam Iron with Dual Voltage Travel Bag, Non-Stick Soleplate, Anti-Slip Handle, Rapid Heating, 420W Power, White Review:

For a quilter, it's crucial that a small iron heats up quickly and gets quite hot. The heat of the iron, which this one provides, produces the crisp, flat pressed seams that most people mistakenly believe are caused by iron weight.I adore how this iron is made. It is really simple to handle and operate. I often use a spritzer bottle and avoid using water in my steam irons to extend their lifespan, but I gave this one a try for this review and it worked beautifully! No spitting or dripping. In fact, I believe I'll use this iron as my first steam iron ever! hahaThis is NOT intended to replace your standard-sized iron. Some people are unhappy (or astonished) because pressing huge amounts of fabric takes too long with this small iron. It wasn't intended for that, I believe. For that, use a regular-sized iron. This is intended to serve as a portable iron, a backup iron, an iron you can keep close to your sewing machine for quick and simple pressing of block parts while quilting, etc.I'm quite happy with this iron overall. It heats up quickly and becomes very hot, and it delivers steam without spitting or leaking. I felt the price was excellent. I'm glad I bought it and would advise anyone to do the same, especially quilters! (I have a small ironing station set up close to my machine, and I can press my block pieces while still sitting in my chair by using this small iron. enables a quick and effective process, and the iron doesn't take up much room on this tiny pressing area.)

Rowenta DW5080 Focus Steam Iron Review:

CURRENT: December 26, 2018After my March update, I completely neglected to post this update. However, I can UP the stars from 3 to 5 due to the outcome (please read reviews below for the history).Rowenta rebuilt the entire reservoir and serviced the iron. I received everything back in a week! not the noted 2-3 weeks. Nine months have passed, and I have had zero issues with this iron. The iron that was originally supplied to me may have been harmed before it even reached me. All the leaks were fixed, as well as the absence of stream flow when the reservoir is less than half full (a complaint I had when I first got the iron). The only issues I still have are with the ergonomic design and the absence of the "cup," which was once a component of every Rowena. I'm a very satisfied client and I hope I can retain this iron for a another 14 years, just like I kept my prior two.REVIEW UPDATED: March 20, 2018In July 2017, I got DW5080, and I wrote a review (you will find below this one). My DW5080 started to leak in several spots in January 2018. I had taken care of the iron as per Rowenta's instructions, even though it was only a few months old (5 ). I didn't want to call Rowenta though because of previous encounters with customer service representatives (CSR) from different businesses. However, the leaking proceeded to become worse, so yesterday I contacted them seven times. After gathering all of my information (including a callback number in case we got disconnected due to phone issues), the call went dead, and all of their assurances that they would email me a return label were broken. I called back today and had the following encounter.Today's CSR listened carefully as I described my problems: the iron started to leak in a number of locations around the iron, from the front panel in front of the handle, from the temperature dial, and from the screw on the bottom near where the power cord is attached. The CSR next inquired about the type of water I use. Well, tap water is what Rowenta demands! My water is undoubtedly hard, claims CSR. I should use spring water in bottles rather than distilled water. This is due to the iron's anti-calc function and increased fickleness compared to the Rowenta irons I previously had (1st lasted 15 years; 2nd is 13 years old but leaks too much to use water in it). But for the iron to function, it needs minerals—just not too much.I'm providing this information in the hopes that it will assist others who are dealing with comparable issues. If you decide to purchase this, be advised that if your tap water has a high mineral concentration, the new technology will give you issues. However, if there is a problem, get in touch with Rowenta right away. The CSR thinks my iron might be broken, therefore their service department will have to disassemble it and try to repair it. They will either replace it or fix it based on what they find. The CSR created a case number, and my iron will receive free maintenance; it will be gone for two to three weeks. Although I'm not happy about being without my iron, I do have a 13-year-old one that I can still use, and it wasn't difficult to get them to listen and respond to all of my inquiries. I'll post another update to this review after I get my iron back and let you know how DW5080 does in terms of star ratings. The initial review I wrote after receiving this iron is POSTED BELOW.Sadly, this is my third Rowenta iron, and despite using German-made Rowenta irons for more than 25 years, it is obviously not up to the same standards as the first two. However, they have managed to "dumb it down" to fit the new economic paradigm of "nice looks but less quality." Despite being competent. Even though my assessment may seem nitpicky, Rowenta may still provide the best household iron on the market.Comments, Favorites, and Dislikes:The quality of the stainless steel sole-plate is not as great as it formerly was; it now appears more drab.I always have to wake it up since the auto-off mechanism engages too quickly (I sew, so this is irritating). The opening to fill the water reservoir initially appears to be a fantastic feature because the lid is huge. However, none of my prior Rowentas had this function at this irritating moment. But unless you're filling it from a high neck faucet in the kitchen sink, the design is horrible. It takes some practice to use a measuring cup, which is no longer included with this model. Humans, however, are adaptable, which is why Rowenta revised its design. You won't get any steam from the reservoir after there are only approximately 2/3 of a cup of water left in it. I'm used to completely draining the reservoir. Why is this suddenly a "feature," I wonder?Unsure of why, the iron "pings and pops," but the reservoir cover's spring pings as a result of the heat. I already anticipate that this section of the iron will quickly fracture. The steam and spray buttons were modified for aesthetic purposes only. Because these buttons finish too low on the handle, they accidentally engage when you hold the iron and press. When you're done using the iron, you CANNOT completely drain the water out of it. If you want to keep the iron in good operating order, this is an issue. The one or two tablespoons of water that [annoyingly] persist over time will erode the iron's main screw, causing a leak. I don't know what to do other than to store the iron upside down in the hopes that it will dry out.The (350 ) holes in the sole-plate continue to generate a lot of steam.Given everything, I still believe that this iron is good and far above average. The fact that the quality and design have not been preserved disappointed me. Although my ancient DZ5080 Focus is still in use, she can't be relied upon to retain her water. I only paid $59.99 for it, and she would be in better shape now if I had taken a little more care of her. But when I contrast the two—the DZ5080 and DW5080—I feel a little depressed.I'm going to write the business and share my opinion with them. It's worth pursuing even though I'm not sure how they will react.

Shark Steam Iron, Red Review:

Ten years ago, I received an iron off of my wedding registry, and it was still sparking at me. I did some research and spent a good hour worrying over buying an iron. However, after realizing that spending $160 on an iron was not in my character, I decided to go with this particular vendor because I adore my Shark vacuum. It's really excellent. But it has a faint Chinese scent. That will go, according to the tiny booklet.

Sunbeam Steammaster Steam Iron | 1400 Watt Large Anti-Drip Nonstick Stainless Steel Iron with Steam Control and Retractable Cord, Chrome/Teal Review:

I believe that during my lifetime, I've owned a variety of irons, from inexpensive to pricey; electric to cast-iron; full-size to portable. This iron, I have to admit, is my current fave. Because of how smoothly the bottom is designed, it easily slides over my clothing. Nothing stuck, no dirt, nothing! Amazingly simple to fill, the temperature gauge is as simple to set. If you want a little extra strength to remove wrinkles, it can steam and "spritz" your clothing with water. The cord, however, is what I consider to be the nicest feature. It winds back around the iron. That may seem like a trivial pleasure, but all irons ought should offer it. Just press a button, and it leaves with no hassle or trouble. See, it wasn't that difficult. Why isn't this feature present on all irons? I am aware that this iron is advertised as one that won't "spit" on your clothes when you iron, and I can confirm that this is accurate. I am aware of its fantastic weight and sturdy build. I'm aware that the bottom is quite smooth, but I still question whether it is even working (warning, do not touch to test on this particular point). I also know that Sunbeam produces excellent products, but I didn't realize that if I had the correct equipment, I'd truly love ironing my clothes. Who dared to guess?Overall, this iron delivers on all of its promises and then some. I'm not sure why I'd ever move from this product because it is well-built and cheaply priced. Give this a try if you're looking for an iron; you'll be happy you did.

Maytag Speed Heat Steam Iron & Vertical Steamer with Stainless Steel Sole Plate, Self Cleaning Function + Thermostat Dial, M200 Blue Review:

PRO: Excellent steam, excellent value for the capacity, and a cute tiny filling jugConstricted tiny filling "jug" and odd filling locationCompared to the Rowenta I previously owned, this iron is a significant improvement. Even at low temperature settings, it produces a significant amount of steam, and it works like an iron should: it removes creases from clothing. My only issue is that the plate must be sitting flat in order to be filled, which can be risky while the iron is hot. The reservoir needs to be filled occasionally because it is so small, and I find that I need to turn the iron off, let it cool, and then replenish it. It has a tiny jug that is made to pour water into the reservoir nicely. The jug functions nicely, but I'm not sure if it's a considerate addition or a fussy extra.Overall, for the price I spent, I'm satisfied with what I received. Recommended.

BLACK+DECKER IR03V Easy Steam Compact Iron, Blue Review:

A really excellent, very simple to use tiny iron is the Black

BLACK+DECKER Digital Advantage Professional Steam Iron, D2530 Review:

I've owned this iron for a while—nearly nine years, to be exact. Really, I hadn't given it any attention until today, when something made me remember long-ago buying the iron. So, from one user's long-term perspective, here. This iron has performed admirably. I am happy with how dependable it is and how well it works. I really have nothing to complain about in terms of how it performed, other from a very little issue. I frequently, mistakenly, and naively bump the dial on the iron that controls the steam's volume and its activation. Most of the time, I stop the steam as a result. Despite my best efforts to make myself conscious of this issue, I have never been able to stop myself from turning the dial without realizing it. I would advise doing something to keep the dial attached more firmly if this easily moved and bumped dial is still there on current issue units in the same way that it is on my own iron. BUT having said that, this has been a fantastic iron, and for the price (I seem to remember paying more for it than it's currently selling for, in fact, approximately $55), it is a very amazing buy. Anyone seeking really high quality at a really low cost should give this iron significant consideration. Without the steam-dial, this device would likely receive a 5-star rating.

Sunbeam Steam Master 1400 Watt Mid-size Anti-Drip Non-Stick Soleplate Iron with Variable Steam control and 8' Retractable Cord, Black/Blue, GCSBCL-202-000 Review:

I absolutely adore this iron! Despite being OK, my old sunbeam passed away this week due to age. For this and around 30 different irons in my price range, I read a ton of reviews. The retractable chord, color, and favorable reviews led me to choose this particular model. Even though I now prefer the retractable chord option, none of the others that I could buy had it. I spend countless hours each day stitching. Before using this iron, I had never had seams that were as flat and lovely. The only plate is nonstick, the steam is strong, there are no leaks, it's light but not too light. In particular when contrasted to my previous dull brown iron, the color is remarkable. The water tank has a cover over the fill hole, which I believe is crucial, and is quite simple to fill with bottled water. The dial is the only issue I have. It is situated under the handle on the tank and is black on blue, making the marks somewhat difficult to read. That makes it somewhat difficult to set. But that's it, and I'm okay with it.Because they don't make irons like they used to, I don't anticipate this one lasting as long as my previous one. But since the sole plate and the entire iron are covered by lifetime warranties, I am confident that I can get a replacement if it breaks. I will be delighted and feel I have received my money's worth if it lasts me three years.
