Univivi Infrared Illuminator, 850nm 6 LEDs 90 Degree Wide Angle IR Illuminator for Night Vision,Waterproof LED Infrared Light for IP Camera,CCTV Security Camera Review:

I've seen these units around for a long, but I never gave getting one much attention because I didn't believe it would really make a difference. However, I eventually convinced myself to acquire one, and holy cow what a difference! There are 2 photographs attached, one with the illuminator and one without. See if you can see the difference—it really is like night and day! (IR LEDs embedded into the camera) The unit is pretty little, measuring around 4"x5" on the front and perhaps 4" deep, and I only needed to use two stainless self-tap screws for installation. The construction appears to be excellent. It uses the same connector as a camera, is made of aluminum that has been coated, and has a water-resistant bushing on the wire connector. According to the sticker on the back, it should draw approximately. 5 amps, so if you obtain a splitter you should be able to run it from the same power source as a cctv camera. I'm doing this, but I have a separate power supply that can produce 5 amps per camera. I've only had it for a short time, but after noticing the difference, I'll be purchasing more.

Tendelux 120ft IR Illuminator | BI8 Compact and Powerful 90¡ã Infrared Light for CCTV Security Camera (w/Power Adapter) Review:

One of these illuminators is the only one I've placed (outdoors). This illuminator delivers the long-range, generally equal illumination pattern that is claimed. It also seems to offer a more consistent light level (as compared to many other types of illuminators that tend to dim and brighten with changes of the ambient light level). Stable output is preferable because motion-detecting DVRs frequently trigger when the lighting level fluctuates. The only drawback I've discovered with this light is something that all illuminators with a similar housing and bracket share: it's challenging to mount and aim (due to the design of the bracket). Additionally, the heavy housing and long, thin bracket arms cause some jiggling when subjected to wind or vibration. Its illumination pattern may shift as a result, and a DVR may interpret these changes as motion. If this issue arises at a certain mounting point, it could be essential to "strength up" the mounting framework in some way. I am not aware of any "heavy-duty" brackets that are appropriate for this type of enclosure, therefore it might need to be custom made. Or, all of this might be unnecessary because the provided mount is suitable for the circumstances.

Univivi IR Illuminator 90 Degree Wide Angle 8-LEDs IR Infrared Light for Security Cameras. Review:

Based on other evaluations, my dad was the test subject, and since he seemed to enjoy it, I bit the bullet and ordered one. has excellent construction quality and ought to last a long time. It performs better than expected and is a wonderful complement to any camera with night vision. I advise anyone who is even considering setting up outdoor cameras to wait till they have these to compliment them. Seriously, why install cameras when people can't see 10 feet in front of them?

JC Infrared Illuminator 12-Led 90°Wide Angle High-Power IR Illuminator for 850nm IP Camera CCTV Analogue Security Surveillance Camera Review:

amazing lighting It's grey instead of white as shown in the picture, but that's not a major concern. My Cantek camera needs light, however because I live in the country, this light works just well! I'll probably purchase another two or three.Six-month update: I initially believed the light had failed, but it turned out to be the 2A transformer. I changed it, and everything resumed as normal.Update after 20 months: The light is still functional but not as bright (left picture). I've asked for a warranty exchange. When I contacted the seller, he responded right away, apologized for the inconvenience, and promised to send me a replacement. Warranty is for two years.Updated on December 10th, 18: Amazing customer service! Two of the more recent 15-LED units were given to me after I asked for a replacement. I believe I have also identified the issue with the old unit. Condensation formed inside the lamp as a result of a broken weather seal. I believe the water droplets' reflections from the light may have dimmed it. The new 15-LED unit produced the 3D image.

Univivi IR Illuminator,850nm 12 LEDs Wide Angle IR Illuminator for Night Vision,Waterproof LED Infrared Light with 12V DC Power Adapter for IP Camera, CCTV Security Camera Review:

In August 2016, I acquired two of these. They were put in place outside to provide extra IR lighting for my Amcrest cameras. For me, these lights have worked perfectly. When I believed I had a problem with one of them, it was really the thin additional extension power cable I had run between the power pack and the light. Even though there was no obvious outward damage, it was so thin that it suffered inside harm. This happened as a result of my too long "temporary" wire run. I just bought the wiring and power supply I'll use for the permanent installation, which will benefit the light as well because the right voltage will be guaranteed over the longer run of cable. Before dismissing the light completely, I would advise folks to inspect their wiring.I have had these lights functioning nightly from dusk to dawn using their sensors for almost 10 months, and I highly recommend them. I anticipate making further purchases in the future for additional applications.

Tendelux 80ft IR Illuminator | AI4 No Hot Spot Wide Angle Infrared Light for Security Camera (w/Power Adapter) Review:

I thought I'd investigate and assess a couple third-party auxiliary IR lights to enhance the existing illumination already on the camera "in light" of recent talk about worries regarding the night vision capabilities of the new Arlo Pro 2 camera. After using Arlo with pleasure for a few years, I also felt that the Arlo 2's fell a little short of their predecessors in terms of night lighting. Before I continue, let me be clear that despite this tiny flaw, I still think the newer Arlo Pro 2 versions are superior to the earlier ones because they have more features and capabilities. And I couldn't be happier now that I have a more than suitable answer to the lack of night lighting. By the way, if you want to improve your night recordings, you may use similar ideas with any Arlo camera. So, here is what I discovered. What they do: For those who are not familiar with night vision or infra red, we are talking about light that is not visible to the human eye. Other than 850 nm, night vision and IR lights aren't going to aid the camera much at all. The fact that these lights are essentially invisible to people and animals is also noteworthy. A few feet away, the red glow of the LED lamps is barely perceptible at night, just as it is when the Arlo camera is on. You can only see the stark contrast in lighting while viewing via an Arlo camera. The equipment: I ordered three IR lamps with the same 850nm wavelength as the Arlo from Amazon. As these things are ideally going to be put directly next to the cameras, I was careful to look for the widest-angle lights—those with a 90 degree—to capture the maximum amount of space and the longest distance/most powerful while keeping the size of the light to a minimum. There were many options, but I eventually settled on three that were tiny, medium, and huge in size. I was interested in how small I could get without losing the light's useful range. Here is what I thought of:Tendelux 80ft IR Illuminator AI4 ($19.65) is compact.Medium: $30.65 for Tendelux 120ft IR Illuminator BI8A large item is the $31.99 JC (JCHENG) 131ft IR Illuminator 12-LED.Since every light has an outside rating of IP65 or higher, it can withstand rain and even pressure from cleaning. Each of the three sizes uses 4watts, 8watts, and 12watts of energy, which is the same as the 1-watt energy demand of each bulb. Additionally, each one has a built-in photocell switch that turns them off automatically throughout the day. They all come with extremely short standard power adapters, but I prefer it this way since you can order a "CCTV 2.1mm 5.5mm" extension from Amazon for the length you require. Another interesting detail is that the Tendelux small and medium-sized lights have significantly smaller power adapters than the JC unit, which most likely makes them tiny enough to accommodate a second plug in a standard outdoor outlet (for those also using power to the camera itself). The test: Using an Arlo Pro 2, I evaluated each light separately in addition to the camera. The findings are shown below. As you can see, there wasn't much of a difference between the three. I didn't notice much more water until I moved closer to the 12-LED unit, which persuaded me to utilize something that big. I am aware that the outcomes will vary based on various elements, such as the objects in the field of view, but I am pleased to learn that the little unit (AI4) is adequate for my purposes, not only due to its reduced price but also because, more importantly, its compact size is aesthetically pleasing. After all, having cameras about my properties already makes me uncomfortable, so the idea of adding more IR lights is about as much as I can take. Although I haven't had these long enough to observe their endurance and durability, each one seems sturdy and expertly constructed. I prefer the Tendelux brand since the dark lens hides the LED bulbs, giving them a more solar charger-like appearance than a light.I will therefore choose the Tendelux 80ft IR Illuminator AI4 for myself.

Tendelux 200ft Long Range IR Illuminator | BI18 90° LED Outdoor IR Flood Light for Security Camera (w/Power Adapter) Review:

A replacement IR light was provided to me after a few misunderstandings on December 5, 2018. When compared to the first IR light, you can notice how much brighter it is. The image with the wire is the darkest when the light is not plugged in, followed by the image with the broken IR light and a wire in the screen. The replacement light is the image that is the brightest without the wire. I can see my neighbor's yard across the street because it's so bright! If you need to illuminate some dark corners, a really beautiful IR add-on light is available!————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————-UPDATE 11/30/2018: I called customer service and explained that all I wanted was a light that did what they stated it would, and the following is their response regarding the price range:"I apologize if the 200-foot distance claimed for BI18 is a bit excessive, but you understand that it's a method of doing business."Then they advised me to go to Amazon customer service about it! This firm doesn't appear to care about its consumers, therefore I wouldn't suggest purchasing anything from them.———————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————-Original AssessmentMy driveway is open and measures about 300 feet long. My ALC observer cameras have a decent night view and are around 60 feet away. They also have their own IR lights. I incorporated this using a design that is very similar to their suggestion. Little difference To obtain the range they advertise, I'd probably need two. Like I indicated, there are no barriers in the front of my house or in the driveway. The light and camera are 8 feet above the ground. I should be able to see my neighbor's yard with the 200 foot range they claim, according by the images and suggestions. With this light and my camera lights (and yes, I made sure they were compatible), I can only see for a maximum of 80 feet. Maybe the light was terrible.

LONNKY LED IR Illuminator Wide Angle 8-LEDs 90 Degree 100Ft IR Infrared Flood Light for CCTV Security Cameras, IP Camera, Bullet Camera, Dome Camera, Suitable for Outdoor and Indoor Use Review:

Four of them were installed, two in the first position (side yard North) at 20 and 40 feet and one in each of places 2 and 3. One wasn't enough to illuminate the area near my back gate, so I had to put two in spot 1 (side yard north). To power each illumination, I ran 110 plugs from the attic down to each spot. The design, pricing, and build quality of these illuminators greatly please me. Having the power line run through the mount, with no exposed cables, is another feature I enjoy. I had to place two lights at site 1 to attain the desired illumination because the brightness was not as strong as I had intended. Although the illuminator may be adjusted, it's not as simple as I had imagined. It's challenging to adjust the adjustment ring. I had to lightly lubricate the threads with silicone lube. The fact that all four of my illuminators share the same SN is something I noticed. At night, the red leds are visible. I am happy with my buy overall. These units, which automatically turn on at dusk and off at dawn, have been in my possession for less than a week with no problems. If I run across any problems with these devices, I'll update my review.FOLLOW-UP 12/3/2019 I've owned these IR illumination devices for five months. They've done a good job. I did discover a minor problem with one of the nine IR LEDS on the initial IR Illuminator that I put in July. I didn't see any lessening of the illumination on my back fence even with the one black IR LED.I contacted Amazon, and they provided me with the email address for the sales department at Tonton. They responded within ten hours and said they would send me a replacement. A SECOND IR Illuminator has been placed beside my back door in the backyard. You may see for yourself by looking at the before and after pictures. Due to my satisfaction with the functioning of these IR Illuminators and the warranty service, I am upgrading Tonton from 4 stars to 5 stars.

CMVision IR40 WideAngle 60-80 Degree 4pc Power LED 100feet Long Range Indoor/ourdoor IR Array Illuminator Review:

When the IR Illuminator was first plugged in or unplugged next to a camera I had that had a damaged IR Illuminator built into it, there was initially no difference in the camera's visibility. It turned out that the camera's IR circuitry was defective. Purchasing an IR Illuminator will NOT remedy the issue if the wiring is flawed. I set the IR Illuminator next to another camera I had that was functional to test this. When utilizing it with a completely functional camera that has a working built-in IR Illuminator, I could see the IR Illuminator "beam" absolutely fine.

JC IR Illuminator 4-Led High Power IR Light Wide Angle for Night Vision CCTV and IP Camera Black with Power Adapter Review:

At 2 homes in Florida, I have 9 black and 8 silver examples of this IR illumination. I prefer the black version because it is more stealthy and has a power supply. One power supply (perhaps caused by lightning) died out of the 17 and one black one stopped working after 7 days. I'm really pleased with the results and can see clearly at night around the exterior of both residences after much adjustment to sharp angles to minimize strong spot light that impacts IP cameras contrast. The secret to achieving the greatest results has been turning off the on-board camera LEDs and tweaking the IR angles to sweep horizontally. At this price, if I need more, I'll purchase more. The image that is included shows two IR lights on a second soffit and one to the right of the camera soon before dawn. To prevent the spot overlap that is depicted, they must be corrected. About 80' separates you from the far-off picnic table.

Can digital night vision see IR laser?
