My computer is roughly three years old, however it did not support boot. Although I was able to view and write to the nvo 860, it does become really heated without a heat sink and even even when I'm not writing. I'm still using sata m.2s because they work on everything and don't require a heat sink. The m.2s worked with my note 9 whereas the nvme wouldn't. The speed tests, however, were, as I recall, less than my PC testing, at around 100mbps. My computer now boots in about 17 seconds thanks to an internal Samsung sata SSD that operates at 550 mbps (which is essentially the maximum speed for sata3).

In my Corsair 600T case, I required a card reader. I wanted it for a 5.25 slot and believed that the grill-style front of the 600T would complement this device well. I ordered it after reading another review of a 600T device that is comparable to it.WIN7 rapidly identified the card reader and read both my SJCAM (a GoPro clone) micro-SD card and my Cam's SD card.I'm going to try to cut out a piece of the 600T's 5.25 blank grill to replace the device's grill and make it look more like a component of the 600T because I don't care about the differences between the 600T grill and the device's grill style. My blue theme (fans, GigaByte mobo with blue heat sinks, Gskill Ripjaws) looks good with a blue card reader light.The third step in the instructions was a little unclear to me, but at least I have a return registration card.For the grill cover's shoddy alignment to the device face, deduct one star. Even the undesirable logo was off-center. It would have been convenient and attractive if it included two USB 3.0 ports.

After reading other reviews, I decided to publish my review after using the product for a time. Absolutely no problems with the reader or USB ports have ever arisen for me. The CF/MMC slot is still a fine card reader port even though it is not as deep as the one in my Eventide sound processor. However, be in mind that the slot can only hold a portion of the card, so avoid using it to open a bottle while it is in the slot. I'm not sure about the reviews that claimed people had trouble aligning the identical CF/MMC pins; but, if you force the card in and insert it at an angle, you'll definitely run into troubles.It worked flawlessly for the one card format I purchased it mostly for. Since then, I've used it to read cards that other card readers couldn't read. You shouldn't anticipate USB 3.0 communication speeds from the card reader because it uses USB 2.x to send data, and I doubt that many cards are available that can read and write data at that fast a rate. I did include a USB 3.x card with front-facing USB 3.x ports and both internal and external interfaces.

The device was successfully installed. The ports are completely functional, and the cards in both the micro SD and standard SD size slots attach without a hitch. The bottom SD card must be inserted label side down (contact facing up)—that's the only major concern. I can see why they did it this way since otherwise they would have needed to add another circuit board to the device. Good news thus far, Just wanted it were a little bit cheaper but still of high quality.

I really like this. The features are wonderful, especially the fan control. and it functions flawlessly! It contains a sensor that is attached to the LCD display but it wasn't mentioned in the instructions. This is really effective. Everything is as expected, but because of my older motherboard, I haven't tried the USB 3.0 ports. I'll update later because I need to find a PCI Express adaptor.
