I bought this to replace the older version called After Bite Itch Eraser when I ran out of them. I always took one of those on trips and kept some handy in the house. I loved them except for the fact the liquid in the roller ball container always leaked out when I used it.I was happy to find this newer version is a histamine blocking gel and I keep one in my travel kit. I am really happy that this product does exactly what it claims to do. The box it came in was in excellent condition. The product has a terrible scent, but it vanished after drying. If you have even slightly damaged or broken the skin, it stings quite a deal, but soon it dries, the stinging subsides.Applicator is dishonest. It has a flat top and a flexible spherical form, but underneath, there is just a hole in a piece of hard plastic. Despite this, the liquid comes out a little too quickly, which speeds up application. Overall, I would say the product is priced fairly considering its quality and use, however I believe a slightly larger size would be ideal. I would suggest this product to friends and relatives who spend a lot of time outside.

The mosquitoes are hungry for (my) blood now that summer has arrived. I used to use a lot of hydrocortisone or a very potent Gold Bond lidocaine for my bug bites, but I chose to try something natural. Mosquitoes and fire ants are a constant worry for me because I live near the Gulf Coast. I am always looking for both repellent and bite relief products.This Cutter Bite MD stick has 5% Benzocaine, 3% Camphor and 1.35% Phenol. For me, this combination is not quite as effective as the StingEze Max2 formula of 10% Benzocaine and 1.35% Phenol, though the difference is minimal.I find that I need to use either stick immediately after a bite to get any relief at all and I always need to repeat the application. Both products recommend applying again in 10 to 15 minutes for a maximum of 3 times in a day but I tend to exceed that.This Cutter product does provide some short term relief but it is not effective against the continued itchiness of my mosquito bites. However, it does help reduce the swelling if applied quickly enough.
