Because it was one of the more affordable options for tools, many of us came to this package. The equipment serves its purpose, but you get what you pay for. I saw scuffs in the tiny file, and perhaps rust on the clippers? Although this kit is less expensive than comparable tweezer sets alone, it raises questions. The deal is still in place.Additionally, it provides enough of the tools you require so that you can determine what you should upgrade to next.

If you're anything like me, you've assembled a few Kotobukiya and Gundam snap-together kits, but now you're in the deep end of the pool, buying a model kit you've always wanted only to discover through reviews that it's of lower-than-average quality and only the hands of a skilled plastic modeler can make it look presentable. Chances are, you don't have any of these tools, or if you do, you have the large "real workThis kit is a huge help for a guy like myself who had to use fingernail clippers and drum sander paper to remove the pieces from the runners and the nubs off the components. It's excellent to utilize the right tools for the job and observe how your productivity soars and your level of frustration soars. Anyone looking for plastic modeling equipment should definitely consider this, as getting everything in one package will cost less than buying each component separately. I'll outline what you get in a nutshell:1 little pair of dikes, sometimes known as diagonal cutters but sometimes called snippers or nippers. If you're like that sort of thing, this pair feels fairly well crafted and is plenty sharp to cut through metal or plastic runners. Additionally, the grips are pleasant.One ruler—Well, it is a ruler. I'm not clear why this is necessary when constructing models out of a box. Perhaps if you truly want to tailor your equipment. It's not bad to have around because it's a strong metal ruler with a straight edge.5 Jeweler files: Tiny files usually used for fine metal work. The most precise is the needle tip file, which has a range of forms and grit sizes for reaching exceedingly difficult-to-reach places. I'm unsure if the grit size variations are purposeful or the result of poor design. Overall, a rough metal rod is difficult to goof up, thus these are perfectly adequate for the job.5 Tweezers: This may be a bit excessive in terms of tweezers. Although the kit comes with three needle point pairs, one angled pair, and one pair with rounded tips, I think it would have sufficed with only one needle point pair and the angled pair. It goes without saying that they are useful, but once more, it appears like you are receiving an excessive amount of these items.Two screwdrivers: one flat and one Phillips. Since I've never worked on a kit with screws, These aren't very fine either. These wouldn't work with computers, where I frequently interact with tiny components. These are inferior to the precision set I own.Separator, 1 piece, in obnoxious yellow. You already know how excruciatingly frustrating and finger-destroying it is to try to separate two parts from one another, even if all you've ever built is a Lego set. The same can be stated of model kits, with the exception that the pieces may be thin and breakable and have sharp edges. This tool makes it easier to take the pieces apart without making you appear like an evil wizard, which I've seen model makers do in videos where they have fingernails that are uncomfortably long for the task.Two sanding sticks, one with a tri-grit and the other with coarse and fine grit on both sides. The tri-Grit is considerably thicker than I anticipated, and the adhesive holding mine to the fluffy middle seems to be fragile. From very fine to much more fine, it buffs. I used it to a piece I wanted to smooth out, and I was incredibly pleased with how smooth the result was.One sanding sponge: This is essentially a tri-grit stick with the very fine and buffing grits removed. I can't be technical because this thing doesn't have a number on it, but "very finer" is probably not a good grit level.1 "hobby knife" plus additional blades Without the marking, it is an X-acto knife. comes with a cover to keep the tip sharp and a set of replacement blades in case the one in the handle breaks at the tip. I can say with certainty that a set of X-acto brand knives and blades will cut plastic and cause you to bleed just as well as the name brand.One cleaning cloth - This item feels the most out of place, other than the ruler and the screwdrivers. Not because I undervalue the value of a cleaning cloth, but rather because it is gossamer and has a really feminine appearance. Make sure that whatever you're dusting off has been thoroughly sanded; I doubt that it can withstand prolonged contact with a sharp edge.Overall, excellent value, especially when you consider how much some of this stuff costs separately. Keep your cash aside for the kits!

Since I have a history of misplacing key instruments, this case will keep my primary tools close at hand.The cost also met my expectations.I had several of the products in the "Gundam Modeler Basic Tools Craft Set" individually added to my cart before purchasing it. For the price, this is an excellent little collection of tools. You receive a significant amount, and I may utilize it all to work on my model kits. Since I don't actually construct Gundams, I'll give my friend those items. The rest of it operates flawlessly. To keep all of your tools close at hand, it comes in a lovely plastic case. This is a fantastic purchase on Amazon. I urge you to purchase this book, even if all you want to do is build model kits.

I received everything I required from this kit, excluding paint, glue, and decal solution, to begin assembling my first model. It was convenient for everything to arrive at once because I was beginning from scratch.Because I didn't have much to sand, I largely utilized the curved tweezers, scalpel, and pliers, but I was glad to have the sanding tools available just in case. Because the cost was so low, I didn't worry about purchasing more than I required.Fortunately, I didn't experience the issue with my kits seeming used or worn out that some other reviews have. Everything arrived in excellent shape, and now that I've added a few items to my kit—like paint brushes—much it's easier to organize everything in one location. This is a must-have in my opinion at such a low cost. made my first attempt at making a model a breeze.

I have so far used this kit to construct one Gundam model. I made an effort to test out as many of the goods as I could. The most commonly used tools were the side cutter, knife, and multi-grit sanding stick.The pin vise and the battery-operated rotary tool were both included in the kit that I chose to purchase.Side cutters - I've never had any issues with these, and they easily cut through the model plastic. When they initially arrived, I was a little worried because it didn't seem like the blades lined up, but after applying a little pressure, they aligned up without any issues.Knife - A little strange in that the blade must be held still as the handle is tightened; just be cautious to hold from the back of the blade. No issues utilizing this thing.Yellow Piece Separator: This is actually quite useful. This tiny item allowed me to separate the pieces without causing damage after I test fitted the pieces together.The grit of this sanding stick is fairly harsh. It will immediately gouge the plastic component after removing a nub. I advise using it solely to remove substantial chunks, stopping well short of the finish line, and then finishing with a sanding tool with a finer grit.One of these, the multi-grit stick, has been used the most during construction. It is an easy combination of coarse, fine, and buffing grit. The sanding grits, however, must be purchased individually because they run out after one model. I should be able to finish two or three sculptures with the three sticks that are included in this kit.Block for sanding and polishing: The sanding sides have a fairly coarse grain, so I rarely used them. The pieces have a great gloss thanks to the soft foam on the polishing side. While it is great, I don't think it is necessary because I found that as I progressed through the model, I used it less frequently.Tweezers are used to grasp tiny objects. I have primarily utilized the ones with flat tips. I could use the angle-tipped if I were applying decals.Pin Vise: This little hand-powered drill has a number of tiny drill bits included. They were utilized by me to drill the jet holes in the model's feet. Even the smallest size appeared to struggle to begin biting into the plastic. I was able to drill two different size holes with the perfect diameter thanks to the range of other sizes.Rotating tool - This will be more useful for future adjustments and simulated battle damage. I did give it a go to smooth out some nubs. To grind only the nub and prevent slipping and harming the plastic around it demands a steady hand. I'm excited to try out more of the tips because they can be used for so many different things.I experimented with a couple metal files. They have a similar coarse grit to coarse sanding sticks. Excellent for removing bulk, but very aggressive for removing fines.Cutting mat - I didn't cut the table because of it. It was remarkably robust and dense. Additionally, model cement did not adhere to it, and it was simple to clean up.I didn't need to use any screwdrivers.Ruler: It is roughly 6 inches long and has inches and metric measurements on either side.

I was really pleased with the quality of these drivers upon initial inspection after receiving them in the mail so quickly (one day shipping). Tool tips fit bolt heads of the appropriate size very tightly; the fit is better than or comparable to that of my much more expensive driver set. Tool handles offer a very firm grip without being overly pointed. Time will tell if they hold up as well as they appear; tool tips appear to be very skillfully machined, and the material hardness seems comparable to other high-end tips I have. However, quality appears to be extremely great thus far at low prices!

I received them today. Recently purchased a Traxxas 4x4 remote control truck (slash), and wanted a solid pair of hex drivers for maintenance and mods. The issue with most sets is that they treat handle sizes as if they were equivalent to bit sizes. Therefore, if you choose the 1.5mm, you are working with a very small handle. Really obnoxious.I made the decision to give these a try after considering the numerous options, including Dynamite and others. Almost all of the screw sizes in the truck are covered by the sizes in this package. The handles look great. They have hollow metal handles with crosscut texture. Thickness appears to be more than sufficient for the needed strength. The bit stem is secured in the handle by a set (grub) screw. The set screw's tip is placed in a flat area on the stem. An adequate design, it seems. The set screw appears to be composed of steel with sufficient strength, leaving the handle's aluminum construction as the only long-term weak spot. From sight and hardness tests (scraping interior area with high carbon still drill bit), there doesn't appear to be a problem. Overall, good.The piece appears to be made of steel that is robust enough, and since I was able to bend it just slightly, it isn't too fragile. The tips are definitely machined rather than molded, cast, etc. in fact They are genuinely sharp because they are so precisely manufactured. While the larger angle means that the corners on the perimeter aren't an issue (more than 90 deg.). By alone, the tips might damage a diamond. Of course, this is an exaggeration, but it is just meant to illustrate the point that, under nearly any pressure, they will scrape the finish off anything they come into touch with. This is advantageous for the perimeter since it will prevent the head of a screw from being stripped out. But to facilitate entry and prevent scratching, a very slight bevel at the end should have been constructed.Insertion errors are bad. The 1.5mm was too little and the 2.0mm was too big for the set screw on one of the handles, which I tried to remove. To disassemble them, I had to switch to a different set of L-shaped hex drivers. It was discovered that the set screw had a 2mm head. I made the decision to measure the bit end of each as a result. At 1.49 across each opposite face, the 1.5 was acceptable. At 2.01 on two of the opposite sides and 1.99 on the third, the 2.0 was a little high. The variance of the 2.0 was also present in the 2.5 and 3.0. Well, I suppose the bit is truly over and the set screws are at the low limit of the tolerance. Possible issue or not.So let's head to the truck to find out what's happening in the most crucial aspect of "the real world." Due to the fact that the 1.5, 2.0, and 2.5 screws make up the majority of the Slash's screws, I was able to test them. The 1.5 inserted easily and completely with no problems. The 2.0 and 2.5 could be fully installed, although it required some more effort and mild wriggling. On the plus side, imparting rotational force to the screw is made much more secure by this tightness. You get the impression that it would be impossible to even partially strip or deform the head. In my early testing, I discovered that this was a good offset for the harder insertion effort. If I still feel that way, only time will tell. However, an RC vehicle like this is typically encrusted in sand and grit in every corner, making tight bit tolerance troublesome.Basically, that concludes the initial check. I must admit that they seem to be reasonably well-made given the cost. They will probably be broken to some extent by use. In order to remove the sharp points generated at the corner edges, I might also use a very fine file on the ends. This should also assist with initial insertion, but it might increase friction a little bit if it wedges little particles rather than scraping it off the screw's inner surfaces. Clearly, additional research is necessary.This review should be helpful. Good fortune.

Although the tools are less high-quality than I had anticipated for a Traxxas product, they are still nice and function as intended.They include speed functionality, but as mentioned in other reviews, the price is a little higher than that of other tools of a similar nature. If you want a Traxxas product that is officially supported, however, this is the one for you.I'll provide an update in the next weeks after using them for a few of my projects.I hope this is helpful.

My Walnut Hollow wood burning tool is a fantastic addition with these stamps and points. Basic tips are duplicated so that I can quickly replace a filthy or "gunked up" tip without waiting for it to cool down by removing it with pliers while it is still hot. Both in leather and wood, the numbers leave reasonably crisp marks.Since I do not consider this wood burning instrument or its attachments to be a "toy," I am hesitant to grade it in any of the "toy" categories.The only downside is the price, which I think is a little pricey considering what you receive, but I couldn't find this option anywhere else; it costs the same as a basic tool with its 9 tips.
