I chose to try this thermal paste after reading test results from many tech websites and considering my experiences with previous thermal pastes. My findings are as follows:1. The application of this one is better. Although the provided spatula is a great addition, I don't believe it is necessary. I am aware that comments over the application of thermal paste may get contentious, but it seems to me that this paste in particular benefits from the "large blob" method due to its consistency. Please don't flame me if you worship at another thermal paste application method altar.2. There are at least four uses for this tiny tube. Huge GPU dies and large IHSs are included in this as well. even if you use it like that character from The Verge. Please, don't be that person!3.) This paste has excellent thermal performance. There are pastes that are 2C better, but only if you pay more money for less product and/or have to put in some effort to use it.4. Given its non-drying properties, I would feel confident utilizing the remaining portion of this tube in a year or two. I've thrown away a lot of half-full tubes because the piece in the syringe tip had hardened. The dried portion could be removed by making a hole in the tip, but I would rather not take the chance of my thermal interface being compromised by a minuscule blob of hard paste. Since I purchased the laptop, PCH and NVMe temperatures have consistently been quite high due to the components' confined area, lack of a heatsink, and extreme compression.I opted to buy a set of these heatsinks after realizing they could solve my laptop's thermal issues after getting my Raspberry Pi a couple of months ago.The PCH, which would run REALLY hot under some workloads, was next to the NVMe drive as the latter would throttle at 90C, which isn't particularly good performance-wise (95-100C, scary I know).Since it presumably contains all the sizes I require, I choose to get this mix set. I placed one of the larger heatsinks on top of the controller after removing the NVMe OEM label, as seen in the image ( biggest offender in temps). I tried two of the larger heatsinks on top of the FLASH memory after using two of the smaller ones side by side on what I think to be the integrated DRAM. However, I swapped them out for the flat copper shims in the kit owing to clearance concerns.I initially tried using a small heatsink on top of the dye on my PCH, but it didn't seem to make much of a difference. A few days later, I made the decision to repaste my CPU, and I also made the decision to attempt to improve the PCH heat transfer. In order to have a surface to stick it to, I kept the thermal adhesive surrounding the deleted center section and applied a small amount of Kryonaut there.Following these minor modifications, my NVMe controller and PCH both maintain temperatures of 70 to 75 degrees, which, in my opinion, is extremely satisfactory.This set, which is composed of copper and should provide the best performance, is strongly recommended if you don't really care about how your laptop's interior appears.The improvement in temperature makes me really delighted.

In order to build a Frankenstein's Monster PS4 out of two broken ones (which did work, so I'm proud of that), I had to buy the cheapest thermal paste I could find in the smallest quantity. Therefore, as long as it functions nearly as well as the paste and is reusable, it is worth buying merely for the ease of usage. Does it then? Yes. In my use situation, it actually works better than classic paste under light loads like daily use or online browsing. It performs approximately the same under gaming load, if not slightly better. However, with a small margin of error, it is roughly the same. In light of all the other advantages, I find that to be incredible. It's nice that it's there and that I won't have to think about it again. My CPU is also reusable, so I won't have to worry about cleanup or anything if I ever update or need to access it. I've never been happier.Benefits: Graphite is easy to install, clean, recyclable, and prevents dangerous "hot spots" because it is excellent at transferring HUGE quantities of heat throughout its surface area. I've just finished cleaning and polishing my GPU. Geforce GTX 970 FTW Edition from EVGAI disassembled everything completely and used 91% rubbing alcohol, an air duster, and a new paintbrush (adding more dusting) to clean everything. I cleaned off the old thermal compound and reapply some of the new Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut compound to the back and mid plates, heatsink, mainboard, and fans.22 degrees Celsius for the pre-cleaning temperature; 50 degrees Celsius for idling; and 91 degrees Celsius for load (100% fan).Since I was exceeding the thermal restrictions and underclocking the GPU, which was becoming quite hot, I lost over 200 MHz of my boost clock.After washing and detailing, apply Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut using the finger-spread method and smooth it down with a spatula.33 degrees Celsius at idle and 59 degrees Celsius when under load (with a 60% fan) in a room that is 22 degrees Celsius.Additionally, I now have access to my boost clock and may once more overclock this device.Runs cooler than when I first got it brand-new, fresh from the factory packaging. (If memory serves, it was brand-new and operating at a load temperature of about 70 to 75 degrees Celsius.)To put it simply, I did not anticipate the outcomes to be this encouraging. Granted, the manufacturing thermal compound had burned out and the area was filthy and covered with dust bunnies.The only tiny drawback to this substance, in my opinion, is that it's a little harder to deal with. Definitely a little thicker and more difficult to spread than materials like IC Diamond or Artic Silver. However, applying it still only took me a few of minutes.Overall, I couldn't be more pleased!Many of my temperature reductions, as other commenters have noted, were probably brought on by the cleaning, which is fair. Unfortunately, I didn't do a controlled experiment using only cleaning to determine this. However, I will admit that the thermal paste that came with this device out of the box was really dry and burned. But I'm unsure of the exact impact either had on the outcome.

After only a few months of ownership, the stock thermal paste on my i7 8750H on my Asus ROG Strix Scar edition laptop caused core temperatures to reach the mid-90 degree Celsius range. I initially contacted the manufacturer, but they didn't seem eager to help, so I made the decision to swap out the default thermal paste with what was supposed to be the best non-conductive thermal paste available, and I was pleasantly delighted by the results!
