750W/1500W Ceramic Space Heater Portable Electric Heater with Overheats & Tip-Over Protection, Desktop Room Heater with Adjustable Thermostat for Office Indoor Home Review:

The directions read, "The Power Light will turn on when the heater is first plugged in, showing that the appliance has power. Until the heater is disconnected from the outlet, the Power Light will stay on."That is not the situation. The unit must be plugged in, set to on, *and* the thermostat knob must be turned high enough to start the unit in order for the light to turn on. Otherwise, the unit won't turn on automatically. The first one was returned since, after following the directions, no light was on and the device wouldn't turn on even after twisting the thermostat knob. We found that with the second unit, we just needed to turn the thermostat knob considerably farther.

Nu-Calgon 4171-75 Evap Foam No Rinse Evaporator Coil Cleaner, 18 oz. Review:

My three-story home's top floor has been experiencing AC issues, and a previous AC technician saw that the coils on my exterior condenser unit were entirely blocked with debris (new construction when I bought it 3 or 4 years ago, but never serviced since). He kindly offered to clean it for $185 because "extremely expensive chemicals" were needed. I found out I could do this myself after searching for about 15 seconds. With two cans of this spray and a few minutes of my time, the coils that appeared to be solid fuzz, dirt, or filth now reveal metal once more.HOW I ACTED:1. At the breaker, turned off the condenser/fan. Although I wasn't sure if it was essential, I decided it was best to be safe than sorry. Of course, this is an outdoor device that is exposed to weather and other elements, but why take any chances?2. Sprayed this on; it will take some time because the beam is small. I would have wanted to have had 4 bottles of the substance given that my unit (for a 3 story, 2600ft townhouse) has 4 walls and complete wraparound coils. I would have preferred either better coverage or a second pass because I ran both of mine dry.3. I waited for 15 to 20 minutes. It was astonishing that I could see the metal through, but it was by no means spotless.4. Combine a water hose rinse with dragging a toilet bowl cleaner brush along the fins (top to bottom, with the fins to prevent knocking them over). A LOT of muck, including fine dust that took some time to run out, rinsed out. If you have the option of cleaning further, this would imply that the "leave on and walk away" strategy may not be the ideal for severely dirty devices (like mine). An air compressor may also be a good option to assist clear the fins on an internal coil if water isn't an option.Anyhow, this stuff actually works, so I'm ready to add it to my permanent stock and yearly plan. I'll update after I know how big of an effect cleaning the AC's coils had.

Mr. Heater F232149 Portable Buddy Carry Bag (9BX) Review:

Dust, my chums. These heaters are at the mercy of dust. The heating surface is covered with dust, which also gets into the pilot gas line. (Have denatured alcohol and pipe cleaners on hand to clean the pilot gas line. MAY SAVE YOUR LIFE.) The heater won't be as enjoyable to use as we all hope because of the dust.I use these warmers outside the tent where there is a lot of blowing sand. We are hoping that by storing my new heater in this cover bag, remaining warm won't be as difficult in the future. Long gas lines and several 1lb gas bottles can be stored in the bag, which offers plenty of space. We'll see how well the zipper functions. (Zippers, however, are also not good for blowing sand. Need a sturdy canvas tent without zippers, with flaps, buttons, or anything similar We appreciate recommendations.)

Ontel Handy Heater | Plug-in Personal Heater | Compact Design | Quick and Easy Heat | Digital Display | Great for Travel | On/Off with Timer Review:

The quantity of unfavorable reviews for this product rather surprises me. I purchased my first of many of these heaters more than a year ago. They include a number of wonderful features, including thermostatic control, a two-speed fan, and auto shutoff. There are pros and cons to their low wattage. Without having to worry about tripping a breaker, you may plug them in wherever. However, they most certainly won't heat a large area. They are excellent in tiny offices. I put one in my bag and use the hotel bathroom's plug to keep it heated. I wouldn't use them as your main source of heat; they function best as an additional source of heat. However, it's ideal for a bathroom that's a bit too chilly or a small, chilly room that the main heat pump can't quite maintain as warm as the rest of the house.

Mr. Heater F215100 MH4B Little Buddy 3800-BTU Indoor Safe Propane Heater, Medium Review:

On a test, heated a small space approximately the size of a bathroom to about 85 degrees. simple to start. A one-pound bottle lasted for around seven hours. The only drawback is that it cannot be adjusted. The images of the unit's leader are misleading. It is not transportable for backpacking due to its size. This is a great backup heater for your RV if your heater breaks down when it is properly ventilated. This LP heater, as well as any other LP heater, should be properly vented in small places. Utilize a CO2 meter.

Broan Wall Heater, White Grille Heater with Built-In Adjustable Thermostat, 750/1500W, 120/240V AC Review:

I purchased this, and when it arrived, it appeared to be a return. It also had some sheet rock scratches and a few missing screws. Due to the construction of the wall, installation required some time, but once completed, it was successful.I let it run hot in a closed area for a few minutes before turning it off since I wanted to give it a thorough test before winter arrived. When I attempted to turn it back on, nothing happened. It appears like the thermostat is malfunctioning. When I contacted the business about it, they asked for the receipt. After I did that, they mailed me a brand-new one and apologized for the inconvenience. There are no questions. When I received the replacement, I fitted the new heater while leaving the old body in place. Since then, it has operated flawlessly! In an unrelated development, I discovered that the apartment building down the street from me has these installed in each and every unit at the front door to help keep the cold air down in them. I must have received a defective shipment. My interactions with them have been excellent.Four ratings because of the initial faulty heater I received.

DeLonghi TRD40615E Full Room Radiant Heater Review:

Let me begin by stating that the Amazon listing's description of the room size is inaccurate. It is described as appropriate for a 250 sq. ft. space. 144 square feet is the quoted manufacturing specification. This heater has a capacity of 5000 BTU for a small to medium-sized room, about 144 square feet (about 15x20 Ft). On High, this device will draw around 12.5 AMPS (1500 Watts). Using an extension cord can definitely cause your electrical outlet to catch fire (not recommended). It's important to keep in mind that most outlets have a 15 Amp capacity and will overload if several items are put into it at once, including the heater. If you HAVE to use an extension cord, I wouldn't recommend anything longer than 10 feet or with a capacity of less than 15 AMP (10 gauge). The last few days, I've had my heater running constantly on high, and I haven't noticed any smells or strange noises. Of course, we can barely hear the thermostat turning on and off. Even though my wife sleeps extremely light, she is not bothered by our small bedroom. I believe the exceptionally loud cracking or popping sound that many people are talking about is caused by either shoddy panel assembly or by metal parts that are "over" expanding and contracting during heat-up and cool-down cycles. When the heat shields for the catalytic converters expand, it makes the same obnoxious noise from underneath your car. Over the past 20 years, I've owned an untold number of radiant heaters, and I've learned a few things. First, a properly assembled heater will run very quietly. Second, keep in mind that ALL radiant type heaters will make a slight pop or crackle when they first start up, but that should stop once they're fully warmed up. All is well with my unit thus far. I'll update if there are any problems.NEWSFLASH: This heater is great! It has been difficult for us to stay warm this winter because we reside in a 100-year-old building that is highly drafty. We always seal our windows and hang the winter curtains throughout the colder months. We also added this heater this year, and we've been pleasantly impressed by the amount of heat it produces. Considering its diminutive size, it truly has a punch. I am unable to remark at this time on how our electric bill may change. When set to high, it does dry the air, but that is to be anticipated. A humidifier is on. I'm hoping this thing lasts a few years. NOTE: The pictures were shot in a 12x12 room on a 27F degree day with our window slightly open. I wanted to check the thermostat's accuracy even though I didn't need the heating on. My house thermostat occasionally reads /- 1 degree
