Although I haven't utilized all the parts yet (and probably won't), for what I need, which is to repair and modify action figures, it's been pretty much ideal so far. If you have a stripped screw to remove and a little patience, the bits can even grind away metal screws from toy-grade plastic. It drills holes that are neatly finished. To keep the drill steady as you start a new hole when drilling into a smooth surface, try scratching or chipping a small dent into the surface. They are incredibly simple to attach or remove, and they maintain their attachment effectively. It is convenient to handle. It doesn't feel flimsy or poorly constructed (though I will update if anything breaks or fails). The lack of a separate carrying/storage container is my main complaint; some of the included components are TINY and simple to lose if you're not cautious. Purchase a small container or something to keep them in.Overall, I would unquestionably suggest this.

If I could, I would have awarded this set five stars. One of the little drill bits shattered since they are so delicate. I wasn't even using it in a hostile manner. The bench vise is OK, however occasionally they get in the way when working on a little thing because of the orange holders. The holders, or whatever they're called, ought to be made in a more user-friendly manner, in my opinion. They seem overly bulky to me, but maybe that's just me. I am aware that they must hold onto the item being worked on, but they are still excessively large.Apart from that, I'm satisfied with my purchase. My metal vise is a little too big for me to use, even though I have used it, because I construct tiny stuff for my American Indian dolls. Despite the magnetic rubber grips of the vise, little things continue to get caught between them.

I got this to create holes in pearls for my wife to string them together into a necklace. Although we haven't actually done it yet, I've already utilized this drill in an original method and been impressed. When my friend was constructing his first AR-15 lower, one of the holes—more specifically, the safety detent hole—had not been completely reamed out, making it impossible for the detent to fit. I pulled out this small drill instead of losing up or having to send an incomplete AR-15 bottom back to the factory or taking it to a gunsmith. It can hold rather large drill bits, which is fantastic. By carefully reaming out the hole by hand, we were able to assemble and operate the device. Clay makes a neat hole in a variety of sizes, though I have not tried to drill anything that is harder than clay. It is absurdly simple to use, and changing drill bits is not that difficult. There are quite a few different types of drill bits, and many of them appear to be almost the same size. I'm not sure why or when I could need such accuracy in determining the size of a tiny hole, but hey - maybe the spares are for breakage or if you drop one and can't find it in the carpet. The major reason I gave it only 4 stars was because I've seen a drill that is remarkably comparable and that I prefer. I originally saw this drill being used in a tutorial video on YouTube, and it had an added feature where you hold the drill perpendicular to the object to be drilled and pump the handle end up and down to avoid having to spin it around so much. I now desire one of those.

I needed to conduct around a dozen coax terminations, so I ordered this. To test the stripper, I first made several test cuts on some extra coax. The stripper's blades could be adjusted to cut where I needed them to using the hex key that was provided (took about 4 botched attempts to get it just right). To ensure that the compression tool and fittings would function as they should, I put one compression connector on a spare cable. I was delighted with the outcome. The actual connections all went off without a hitch and are functioning flawlessly.The compression tool has a strong feel to it and performs nicely with little hand strength needed.The stripper is functional, but I wouldn't count on it to perform many strips.The connectors work OK, however a metal compression ring is what I would want.A little bit more explanation is needed in the directions (particularly for setting up the stripper), but not enough to detract from the rating.I believe that this is an excellent bargain overall for a small number of connector installs (although I believe the compression tool may be useful for many more than the 20 connectors supplied).

With no sign of stopping, I used the same drill bit to drill holes in brick (20x1" holes), tile (2 holes), and 10x1" holes in concrete. I ran water down the head of the bit for concrete and brick in between uses to allow the metal to cool and lessen the quantity of dust that would be produced when drilling. I've read that this also keeps the mind sharper for longer online. In any case, the fact that it made all those holes on one bit shows that it was worth the money!The smallest size is not really that little, which is my only "concern." However, plugs can easily be created with drywall or wood screws.

As long as you don't try to push a hole instead of drill one through an inch of styrene, acetate, acrylic, light wood, copper, brass, or pot metal, they will operate just fine in those materials. I'm not sure why folks are upset over a drill set without a box index or a document listing the drills' numbers and sizes. You got them for nothing. Please don't misunderstand me; I firmly believe that you should support your neighborhood brick and mortar hobby shops. However, even while I will admit that the general fit and finish appears a little nicer in hand, the jaws are less helpful, and it didn't even come with any drills to use! I spent approximately $20 on a pin vise drill at my local store. When I tried to drill some straightforward holes for magnets in my miniatures, the ones I tried to buy for it didn't even fit (until I discovered you had to totally disassemble the tool, flip the jaws around 180 degrees, then reassemble it). This tool is almost just as nice but 100 times more helpful because it can accommodate any size drill without needing to bother with its interior, and it is even better for a fraction of the price because it actually COMES with the drills.
