I'll be honest with you: the price was what ultimately convinced me to buy this. However, there are a few extra benefits available. They come in a little bin, are just as durable as the other brand I typically get and spend more for (even when they are on sale), and seem to last a bit longer overall. They have coating on the ends, but as we all know, it tends to wear off with time. However, they can be replaced for this price. Someone in my home or in my life ALWAYS asks me for Bobbie pins, thus that's the major reason I have to buy them. I've never bought Conair before, but I'm pleased with them. All of us require them for flyaways or different haircuts. They're dark. I'd definitely make another buy.

I almost always style my hair in a french twist. I can look like I just left a salon in two minutes (no joke, two minutes max). I'm delighted they are available on Amazon because for some reason they are difficult to find in stores. I can exercise while with these pins up, and my hair STILL looks amazing. The aim is to pin the hair to the scalp, so bear that in mind if you haven't tried them before. As you screw them in, be certain the pin is hitting your scalp. My hair varies in length from two inches above the shoulder to above the shoulder. Regardless, a french twist only requires three pins. One came down diagonally from near the top. One coming straight across from the centre, and the other coming up diagonally from the bottom. No big deal if you feel the pins tightening against one another. Simply keep moving. Additionally, they are the only french twist pins that I can use without hurting my head or noticing them in my hair. Hope this was useful.

I'm not sure why these have such bad reviews. They truly make an excellent product. The ones I got fit my hair nicely and tightly, and they kept their shape even after a full night of wear. Naturally, it won't hold its shape and will become very loose if you pack too much hair onto the pin and bend it to the point where it should snap. Because they're not the extremely thick, extra-long, heavy-duty ones, these aren't "one pin holds all" pins. These are your everyday pins; use a handful for an adorable updo that you can tuck into your hair.However, I did observe that the paint does flake off, leaving you with black flakes in your hair and on your hands. Kind of a bummer, but after I cleaned all the hairspray out of the ones I've been using frequently—I have a few that I keep out for continual use—they stopped acting that way. So perhaps scrub the ones you intend to use to remove any extra loose paint.Overall, they are good pins at a reasonable price.
