I truly adore the Hot Tools curling iron I've been using, however the handle entirely broke off, and the barrel is too small for the length of my hair at the moment. I loved that this was a reasonably priced system that could give you a variety of curl kinds and that I could use it on my hair at all different lengths. This curling iron takes a little bit longer to heat up than my old one did; it probably takes a minute or two to reach its maximum temperature. I like having the glove for the first couple of times to help me acclimatize to not having a clip, but I haven't needed to use it since. This doesn't produce curls as consistently... It takes a little bit longer because I have to recurl more portions than I used to, but the curls last roughly the same. The small stand getting in the way while I'm curling my hair is another thing I don't enjoy. To prevent my hair from getting tangled in the curling iron and ruining the curl, I have to turn it around. Overall, it's a decent system for the price, but unquestionably far from ideal.

I could have spent more cash on a more expensive one. However, this ultimately works so well that I fail to see how a more expensive device could deliver better quality. My favorite.It's a little awkward to wear the small, three-finger glove that comes with it. I never use it. If you know how to utilize it, you won't need it. Even though I had never used a wand before, it only took me ten minutes to get the hang of it.

This curling iron was a Christmas present for the daughter. She has VERY LONG, THICK hair that never holds a curl or wave, so I was eager to give it a go. She has tried hot rollers, one-wavers, one-curling irons, and other methods but has never been successful in maintaining a curl for more than a few of hours. Since beach waves are currently "in," this curling iron created additional beach-like waves. She was pleased with the outcomes!We were aware that in order to stand a chance at all, we would need to gradually curl her long, thick, straight hair. After painting her entire head, this photo shows how the waves appear. (Took around 30 minutes) It was just after midday. Her hair was the same when she went to bed. The following morning when she brushed her hair, there was still a faint wave, but it appeared more like she simply had naturally curly hair, if that makes any sense.She will use it again when she wants the beach wave effect, thus overall a good purchase.

If you must, you can call me "basic" since, like most ladies my age, I am drawn to everything rose gold. Considering how badly my hair is damaged right now, my mother tried this out for me. She said these things.The on/off switch is not where you'll accidently bump it, and it defaults to the hottest temperature rather than the lowest option. It heats up rapidly, and the clip tension is extremely great. Hair slides out easily when you release the clip; it's easy to push open; it stays closed when you want it to; the barrel is extra long, which is great for long hair; you can curl larger sections so it goes more quickly; mom's hair is shoulder length and took 10 minutes from start to finish; and she didn't need product to make it curl her hair.Other observations: *The huge barrel is ideal for beachy waves, but not for ringlets; *The curling iron is highly ergonomic, rendering the supplied glove nearly unnecessary; and *There is a rubber section where you may rest your thumb when curling. Before she realized it, my mother's hair was caught between the rubber and the plastic. Once she was aware of its presence, it was simple to ignore.
