All the components are of the highest quality you can find in a home kit. To achieve the greatest results, I always follow the instructions precisely. To make the completed product appear more natural, I use the metal hook for the majority of the strands. You avoid a patchy appearance, just make sure to spacing them out properly and use numerous little strands. I do use the plastic hook to pull through a few additional hairs around my face, and because it removes more hair, the bolder highlights that result are really appealing to me in those spots.A trick I picked up in cosmetology school, before they started doing foil highlights and using these caps in salons, is to put the hook through at an angle rather than straight on if you find the process painful. It appeared to function properly after I simply recapped it and stored it in a drawer. Take the applicator tip after recapping, and blow all the extra product into the sink (or in your hand). I first tried to throw it away but then I thought it was a waste, so I put on one of the two applicator gloves that came with it and spread the extra product around various parts of my head. Next, repeatedly flush water through the applicator tip and blow it out. By doing this, you can keep it from being clogged and reuse it.Because the product relies on oxidation to function, it's essential to squeeze the bottle to the top before recapping and to squeeze as much product as you can from the applicator tip after you're finished. Depending on how much you use each time, you can reuse this product 3–4 times if you do this. I discover that the color begins to fade after two to three weeks, and I typically apply new color at that point.Although it won't completely cover my large white areas on the sides of my head, as I indicated earlier, it will cover some of the grey hair. In conclusion, take a step less than you believe you need. If you follow my advice for reuse, you'll be able to avoid spending $8 every two to three weeks only to keep your hair darker.Having said that, the product is good. After I apply, I use a DRY tissue paper to wipe back/away all the excess that gets on my forehead and ears. It doesn't leave a significant stain on the skin. Additionally, I don't use shampoo in my initial shower thereafter; instead, I thoroughly rinse with water to give it more time to absorb. This is also something I would advise for better initial coloring. Get a shampoo that is color friendly as well. One built especially for guys is hard to find, but I was able to discover one at Walmart that seemed at least fairly gender neutral and reasonably priced.

Never before has a product lived up to the expectations in this way. I was more than dubious when I first saw the Facebook advertisement. I assumed they were bought when I read the positive reviews. But since it was so inexpensive, I decided to use it as a costume nevertheless and was completely floored.Instantaneous, drastic color shift that disappears in the shower. Some details:Rinsing is necessary because it really is water soluble. Plan accordingly. Great in the shower, horrible in the rain.STYLING: If you have short hair, as I do, it doesn't significantly impact how stiff your hair is, so I discovered the best way was to style first, let products dry, and then add color. Using hair style products after applying color really eliminates a lot of the color because most of them are water-based.HOLD: After drying, it remains. I wore it throughout a four-hour event I assisted with organizing. I was going around and caressing my hair while under a lot of stress.
