Dunlop Acoustic Variety Pack Guitar Picks (PVP112) Review:

When you're not sure which pick to use get the sampler and determine which you like the most. comes with variety of thicknesses and flex. A beginner should start with very flexible pick but this is a way to experience options. Good value.

ChromaCast CC-SAMPLE Sampler Guitar Picks (12 count) Review:

Sure enough, the package contains 12 guitar picks. The solid color ones range from 0.50 mm to 1.14 mm. The "abalone shell" ones are also assorted: two light, three medium, and one heavy.

I have no clue how these will play a guitar. I don't play a guitar. These picks are going to serve a very different purpose: prying covers off small electronics. Somebody had suggested to me that they were ideal tools for the purpose, and since I fix (or at least try to fix) lots of small electronics, I may have an opportunity to try them. I also have official case opener tools, but they do tend to mark up the edges of the case, so I thought I would try these instead. For my purposes, an arrangement of sizes is a good thing - as the case starts to open, you might need thicker sizes to keep the momentum going.

I apologize in advance to the manufacturer of these picks for misusing them! They are probably fine guitar picks, but I am hoping they also make fine case opening tools! If they do, ChromaCast, you are welcome to cross-market these "dual-purpose devices"!

D'Addario Assorted Pearl Celluloid Guitar Picks, 10 Pack, Medium Review:

Okay, I just ordered a new guitar (Fender FA-100 Dreadnought Acoustic Sunburst) and the guitar package only came with a gig bag, and I need picks. Now while it is true that you don't need a pick to play guitar and in fact, finger picking actually can give you some better sounds, but, I knew I still wanted some picks because I am not a finger picker. So when I bought this cheap brand made picks, I was really amazed!

First off, really fast shipping. It claimed to be delivered by Tuesday, Feb 25 to Friday, Feb 28. While it came in today on 2/22/14! That was really fast. Another thing I liked were how the picks looked and feel. These picks may be at a cheap price, but they are really made with quality. It has a plasticy, but NICE feel to them and the different colors in the Pearl texture look great! What more can I say? They're picks, they're cheap, and once my guitar gets on (Monday, Feb 24), I'm sure it will serve its purpose. Also, these things are not easy to lose either since they stick out a lot if you drop one on the ground in your house, street, ETC. and the colors are really a great addition. And hey, if you do manage to lose one, then you still have 9 more to use!

So get these picks today, they are awesome and they are the cheapest you can find!

Dunlop Electric Variety Pack Guitar Picks (PVP113) Review:

This is a good-for-the-price collection of picks, especially if you're looking to try something new and you aren't sure what you like. For me, I wasn't sure what thickness I really liked, so this was helpful in narrowing that down. I also had only used cellulite and cardboard picks (don't judge), so the Tortex was a nice feel. You get a variety of picks in various thicknesses, of different kinds. The Tortex and the nylon picks with raised surfaces were the most interesting.I found a few I liked, but because I play bass as well, this was a waystop along the path, not a destination. Recommended for exploration.

Dunlop 9002P White Plastic Thumbpicks, Medium, 4/Player's Pack Review:

I bought these picks quite a while ago to work with my finger picks, thinking that they were only good for those complex finger-picked arpeggios. Then I learned that I could strum with these, as well. I still kept the old triangular picks for strumming, but after a while I realized I wasn't using them at all anymore. I find that the thumb pick allows the hand to play in a more natural and relaxed position, and the thumb can play more precisely by itself than a handful of fingers all bunched together. The only drawback is that upward strumming tends to grab the string, opening the pick's grip on the thumb, potentially causing it to come flying off. Strumming only in one direction seemed limiting to the tempo, at first, but it was nothing that a good delay pedal couldn't overcome. Upward strumming is still possible with a careful and shallow attack, but I don't do it. Essentially, if I'm playing both strumming and picking in the same performance, and especially in the same song, then I can't switch between finger/thumb picks and the handheld type quickly enough, so I just use the thumb pick to strum.

As far as fit goes, it's just fine. I wear a medium in nitrile gloves, and the medium picks fit equally well. I'd say the sizing is correct.

Fender Premium Picks Sampler - 24 Pack Includes Thin, Medium & Heavy Gauges (Austin Bazaar Exclusive) Review:

I bought this pack specifically because I wanted to get a couple of each color shown in the photo for the 24 pack. What I received was okay, but it isn’t what I thought I’d be getting. I was shipped 8 of each thickness: 4 Heavy Brown, 4 Heavy Gray, 4 Medium White, 4 Medium Purple, 4 Thin Dark Blue, 4 Thin Light Blue. There are No Green, Abalone, or Confetti, and there is no variety within the color/thickness (would be nice to have a heavy, thin, and medium of each color). They are *very* nice picks, but they should not advertise the variety pack having all of those fun colors when you don’t actually get all of them. From some of the other comments, I gather they used to send true variety packs, but recent orders seem to be getting quite a bit less variety. Seller, please update your photos if you are only sending certain colors, and don’t lead people to believe they’re getting such an assortment.
