No, all grill grates are not the same size. There are many different sizes and shapes of grill grates available on the market, so it is important to choose the right one for your grill. The size of the grill grate will determine the size of the food that can be cooked on it, so it is important to choose a size that is appropriate for the food you want to cook.
Yes, you can grill on aluminum foil, but there are some things to keep in mind. First, make sure the foil is clean and free of any holes or tears. Second, be sure to use a non-stick spray or oil on the foil to help prevent sticking. Third, use a moderate amount of heat when grilling on foil to avoid burning the food. Lastly, be sure to let the food rest for a few minutes before serving to allow the juices to redistribute.
If your grill grates are starting to show their age, or if they’re not made of the material you want them to be, you may be wondering if you can replace them. The good news is that most grill grates are designed to be replaced. The bad news is that it can be tricky to find the right replacement grill grates for your grill. If you have a gas grill, you’ll need to make sure that the replacement grill grates you choose are made of material that won’t conduct heat. This means that you’
If your grill grates are rusty, you can try covering them with foil. This will help to create a barrier between the food and the grates. You can also try using a grill brush to clean the grates before cooking.

First off, I thought I'd give this a try even though, as a self-described grilling expert and BBQ purist, I usually only use hardwood lump coal and a match. This mat is simply great! Let me explain the advantages...1) Taste: When using comparable grill mat goods, I noticed a burned-plastic aftertaste (which other reviewers warned me about). Not if you use this grill mat. Whatever I'm preparing retains its integrity thanks to this mat.2) Heat transfer: I like my steaks browned but not burnt, so I sear both sides when the coals are good and hot (at least 600 degrees). This mat not only lets the heat pass through, but it also lets me acquire the coveted grill marks! Positive in my book. Additionally, there isn't a grease fire that singes my arm hair when I'm frying up some greasy food like hamburgers or brats. Not even an odd flare-up, which is fantastic given that a true backyard barbecue enthusiast must have arm hair.3) Clean up: I suppose the cleanup is the aspect of grilling that I enjoy the least. I prefer to make messes rather than clean them up. I can actually walk this mat inside when I'm done using it (it's cool to the touch), clean it with a paper towel, and then put it in the dishwasher. Done. Even going to the barbeque in the neighboring park, I now bring a spare mat. The grates on those public barbecues are filthy, but thanks to my reliable grill mat, my food never comes into contact with them.Oh, and I would be negligent if I failed to note the usefulness of these mats. I use this mat in the oven on days when I cook inside. cookie baking No more scraping charred cookie remains from the metal baking sheet—just place one of these nasty boys there. preparing a roast? Put this in the pan's bottom, and voilà ! It has never been simpler to clean up. I even used the mat as a "catch-all" beneath a pie pan because no one likes it when their entire man-lair, which includes their home and kitchen, smells like burned toast. In conclusion, I give it two man-thumbs up!

We enjoy using our Weber barbecue and have done so for several seasons. The original grill grilling grate, however, started to rust horribly after several years of use. I used to use steel wool or a wire brush to scrape off the majority of the rust, but the upkeep became too much. The new grate was finally ordered, and it functions flawlessly. Food now comes off the grill much easier and no longer adheres to the harsh, rusty surface. The time I've saved not having to clean my old grate has allowed this new one to pay for itself in no time.Make sure to grease your grate before use with a high smoke-point oil, like safflower, soybean, or peanut oil, to keep it in good condition. After cooking, give the grate a brief brush to get rid of any food that stuck to it, and then add extra oil to the area. Although it might seem like a lot of labor, I guarantee you that it is less work than continually cleaning the rust off an unmaintained grate!

Be aware that these grill grates are manufactured in China, noticeably thinner than the Weber brand stainless steel grates (that I use to cook at my mother-in- law's), and slightly farther apart. Shrimp may still be cooked without running the risk of them falling through, although the grates are not as closely placed as Weber grates, which are thicker and, in my opinion, have one extra bar per panel. Having saying that, these grates perform superbly. They are really easy to clean, fit my Weber Genesis perfectly, and food sticks just enough. The cast grates that came with my barbecue were replaced by these, and stainless steel will last far longer than enamel. I prefer stainless steel to any other cooking surface; they are functional and cost-effective.

I was sick of spending $100 on grills that I had to replace every few years. I chose to spend the $500 less and purchase a reliable Weber Genesis E310 (2010 version with the dials on the right side). I wasn't let down. The durability, consistent cooking, and good sear were all as anticipated. The parts were deteriorating after 7 years of use, which ranged from 2 to 5 times each week. The grates lost a lot of material and rusted away (could have oiled more). A fresh set of grates was ordered. They are a perfect match for my Genesis E310. If not exactly, they are similar to the factory OEM grates that came with it. While I was at it, I changed the burner elements and flavorizer bars. I can once again declare that I enjoy grilling. It produces very even heat, excellent grill marks, no flare-ups, and it is once again operating at peak efficiency. I think highly of Weber products and advise replacing with original components.

Note: This grate is designed to sit inside the grill and hold the charcoal, so it is 13.5†but nests inside of a 18.5†grill because it has to sit below the cooking grate

An extremely affordable addition for the WSM 18.5 charcoal grate. As some have pointed out, it's not as substantial as the original, but it gets the job done. On the underneath, I affixed it to the old grate, although not perpendicularly. I wire connected it such that the grates were centered between the existing grates; this left less space for charcoal to fall through than if I had attached it perpendicular to the old grates, which would have left square openings.I'm not sure how much longer it takes to cook, but I can easily cook for 12 hours at 250–285 without stirring the coal or adding more. Although I haven't required to go more than 12 hours, I easily could have done so given the amount of coal in the grate that is still there. Previously, it took 10–12 hours at 225-265, but that required occasionally stirring the chamber and adding a few extra briquettes. I'm sure attaching it perpendicularly works just as well, however by running the grate horizontally off-center from the original grate, you reduce the space for the coal to fall through.

With the mower set a little shorter for fall, I accidentally ran over one of my drains. I ordered this cap after taking the opening's measurement. It turns out that it is identical to one that I damaged with the mower, only mine is green. The black ones were my favorite, and they were just $2.14, so I got two more to keep on hand in case I run one over again. While the section that fits into the drain tube is sufficiently long and heavy, they normally stay in place even though they don't exactly snap into place. Additionally, the grass has a tendency to grow up over it and anchor it. It's wonderful to have it loose enough to remove it for tasks like raking leaves.Great purchase. These are what I paid full money for, and I give them an unqualified 5 stars.

The hanging racks that came with the unit were significantly broader than my originals and hardly fit. They are simple to remove. The hanging racks should be redesigned by the manufacturer to fit thinner grills better and resist slipping off too easily. Additionally makes it challenging to close the top section of the grill. In addition, I thought the replacement ash pan was a little overpriced. After barely two weeks using the unit, how would anyone rank its "durability"? I'll admit that the initial version did not endure as long as anticipated.

My tiny Smokey Joe Weber ultimately needed a new grill grate after several years of heavy use. This is the charcoal grate that rests at the Weber's base and contains the charcoal; it is not the grill top. It is 10.5 in "ideal for the compact Smokey Joe tabletop grill. On schedule and in perfect shape, the goods was delivered. It works and fits just right. Little more to add. Although it is obvious that these grates only last a short time. They frequently rust and corrode, especially if the grill is not cleaned frequently and kept indoors throughout the winter.STRENGTHS: - Measures 10.5 "Perfect fit for the Weber Smokey Joe at in diameter — Solid buildCONS: -Tends to corrode if not routinely maintained
Vinegar is a popular household item with a range of uses, one of which is removing rust. Rust is a type of corrosion that can occur on metals, and it is often difficult to remove. Vinegar is acidic and can dissolve rust. This makes it a natural rust remover.
To remove rust from your grill grates, mix together equal parts baking soda and water to form a paste. Rub the paste onto the rust with a sponge or brush, then rinse it off with water. For more stubborn rust stains, try scrubbing with steel wool or a wire brush.
If your cast iron grates are looking a little worse for wear, don't despair! There are a few simple things you can do to make them look new again. First, start by giving them a good scrub with a stiff brush and some soap. If there's any rust, use a wire brush to remove it. Rinse the grates well and dry them completely. Next, heat a few inches of vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. When the oil is hot, carefully place the grates in the pan and cook for 10 minutes. This will
Cleaning your grill grates is important for both food safety and flavor. At a minimum, you should clean your grill grates after each use. If you grill frequently, you may need to clean them more often. There are a few different ways to clean your grill grates. You can use a wire brush, a putty knife, or a nylon scrubber. Whichever method you choose, make sure to scrub thoroughly to remove all the food and grease. If your grill grates are starting to show signs of rust, you can try cleaning them with vinegar
It's not ideal, but if the grates are only mildly rusted, you should be able to still use them. If they're heavily rusted, it's best to replace them.
There are a few different types of grills that don't rust. Some are made with stainless steel, while others are coated with a special type of paint that helps to prevent rusting. No matter which type of grill you have, it's important to keep it clean and covered when not in use to help prevent rusting.
