I'm over six feet tall, and my hands are the right size for my frame.People like me or the Hobbit type are the target market for these pruners (those with disproportionately sized hands). With one hand, I can hold a branch that is approximately one inch in diameter. I can handle branches that are 3/4 inch in diameter without worrying that I'll drop the clippers. I'm more worried that I'll have to stoop over to pick up the clippers than I am actually "afraid" I'll drop them.We have blueberry farms. Lilac dead wood is easier to cut than blueberry dead wood. If you reside in the South and are unsure of what Lilac is, it is a decorative shrub that has a hardness that is comparable to metal. I leave off. While this tool is excellent, It is fantastic, and I use it a lot! The grass and the Blue Rug Juniper that interacts can both be cut short by its strength. The grass-Japanese Garden Juniper and grass-Euonymus interfaces both receive the same treatment from me. I also have a length of black plastic garden edging of roughly 250 feet. The minor issue is right here. I was holding the device with the long handle attachment while resting it on the grass-catching attachment at the bottom. I simply move the unit along the 250 feed of edging after that! It simply requires a few minutes! Well, it just took a short while. After three or four uses, the "ears" on the plastic grass-catching device simply fell off! Okay, was this particular part weak or was the tension from sliding over plastic too great? Part 2: Online Makita support would only tell me to take it to a facility that had been given the go-ahead to service it. A service center is where? Not at all. The two service centers nearest to me that were mentioned on the Makita website were no longer affiliated with Makita when I called them. Each of them used more harsher language. So keep in mind that a company that primarily produces construction tools produced this garden gadget. In other words, a Stihl does not support and encourage its distributors. The device is strong and has a short cutting time, which are the major reasons I suggest it, but the guarantee will only be helpful in the event of a catastrophic failure.

To tote these around as I push mow our lawn, I bought them. I apply it to my driveway, patio, mailbox, fences, and trees. These are ideal for each of those locations. Even dead daylilies were no match for them. My hands are rheumatoid. I don't have any joint pain with these. They will be used for our grasses in the flower gardens in the fall, I anticipate. Lightweight and simple to turn. for safety, locks. If you lay them down in the grass, the color stands out. But my favorite hue is green. I couldn't wait to get outside and take on the d*mn Bermuda grass in my flower bed once these came. Between the lawn and our foundation plantings, there is a modest stone wall. There is grass all over. It's a never-ending battle to weedeat, spray, and mulch. This pair of Fiskars Sheer Ease Grass Shears is yet another weapon. It's difficult to cut this grass. My electric grass shears are not as good as these Fiskars ones. I can use these to take a large quantity of grass, cut through it at ground level, and throw it away (makes good chicken bedding). Even though I am quite small, these shears nonetheless fit in my palm and allow me to easily cut through this tough grass. I also have Fiskers pruners available to get rid of any weeds I encounter.I can't work for too long due to a terrible back and knee, but it's simple to get outside and work on a bit at a time. The next step is to mulch with cardboard sheets.

For many years, my father used these shears, and I recall watching him sharpen the blades in the shop before the grass-cutting season. He would always conclude the job by slicing up a sheet of newspaper to demonstrate how sharp they are. and to always use caution when handling my fingers! I was intending to get the same shears as my father, but since the blades are described as being 5 inches long, they cannot be the same shears! after looking through the fantastic Amazon collection and unable to locate any additional Fiskars grass shears. I purchased a set after acknowledging that fashions change. Surprise! My dad's grass shears are here!
