The most well-liked backyard game we have for gatherings with family is now this one!I was searching for a brand-new yard game that would be drastically different from the ones we already had. I stumbled into Battlechip and decided to give it a shot. The only golfer in our family is myself, unless you count putt-putt, so I wasn't sure how well-liked this one would be. I'm happy to report that everyone has enjoyed it thus far.I like the addition of the sand trap and water hazard, and the target itself is a decent size. Since the balls are foam rather than actual golf balls, it wasn't difficult to determine how hard we needed to strike them. I looked for a good golf practice mat for a very long time, but I eventually came to the conclusion that there was nothing decent for the price I wanted to pay, until I found this one. I was a little worried that it would be inexpensive when I bought it. It certainly isn't. It is thick, sturdy, maintains its position, has a good size, and functions flawlessly. Rubber tee inserts are completely secure and fit. My favorite. If you don't regularly leave it outside in the elements while using it for personal purposes, it probably won't last more than a few seasons on a public practice facility.

I bought this product five weeks ago, but I didn't evaluate it right away since I wanted to utilize it first. Although this hitting mat got excellent reviews, I didn't want to pay nearly $60 on one. I looked at Dick's and other places for a mat, but I wasn't impressed with the quality I found there.When I got the item, I was really pleased with its quality. Despite having a respectable weight, it will still shift slightly when irons are struck off of it. There are three distinct stages, as shown. The tallest level allows the golfer to insert tees, while the lower levels are shorter like a fairway, longer like the first cut of rough, and intermediate in length. It may also be folded down to a third of its original size.The fairway section has not been worn down despite the fact that I have already hit several hundred balls off the mat. Likewise with the rough section. On the sole of my clubs, neither part leaves any residue, which is a common issue when using synthetic mats at a driving range.Despite not being a particularly tight weave, the area for teeing up a ball can support a 3" tee and ball without toppling. However, I discovered that the tee would almost always fly out into my net when I struck the ball, so I made a small adjustment. I drilled a hole in the mat's bottom and put a rubber golf tee holder inside. To avoid hitting the ground before the ball, I positioned the hole closer to the front (a semi-common problem for me). Now, before the tee breaks, I can hit 10 to 20 balls.Despite my alteration, I am overall quite happy with this purchase and rate the Rukket Mat 5 stars. It is made from top-notch materials and works as promised. Even though it was snowing and chilly outdoors, I was still able to whack balls in my garage here in New Hampshire. Hope to see speedy improvements in Myrtle Beach the following week!

I got this to use on my balcony as a practice area for my swing, but I also use it outside in the yard to prevent tearing up my lawn. However, how often are your ball and your feet exactly at the same level on a golf course? Some reviewers say that the thickness elevates the ball, causing your feet to not be at the same level. You must be able to adjust to variations in height.Although the modest size at first worried me, I think it might really help me better concentrate on my swing plane. I use it lengthwise, with the long edge facing the target, which improves the swing track and prevents swings from coming in too low and hitting the mat's edge. I'm not sure whether that was Callaway's intention, but it seems to function nicely. The tee insert appears to function OK, however when using irons, I take it out and place the ball in the gap it creates. This makes it easier for me to concentrate on striking the ball low, as you would need to do in the fairway.Although some individuals might like the greater size, overall, I'm satisfied with it. But so far, it appears that lining up the long edge with the swing's direction will provide me with what I require. I really didn't want to spend the extra money on the larger one because these things seem a bit overpriced for what they are.

I enjoy striking on this mat. I've read about people who had trouble because the mat was delivered wrapped up. I just rolled it the other way, taped it in place for a few hours—possibly because I had read about this problem—and then set it down on my office floor, where I stood for a while.I took this to my backyard net and had a lot of fun shooting. It significantly aids my practice. In the past, I injured my tendon by hitting a 4x6 rug that was positioned on a carpet pad. Although it was really soft, I could still sink my wrist into the carpet.This mat's modest size has drawn criticism from some people. Others stated that they would secure it to a board. I adore how the mat moves after a well-placed iron shot. When you strike it off the tee, it hardly moves at all. It moves when you strike it with the ground. It is known as a divot. Your divot shows that you have only shifted a small portion of the ground. My arms become hurt when you strike the ball with a static mat because of the impact. If you thin the ball, this won't happen, but that's not the point. The mat is there because you want to hit down into the ball. Since the rug was big and I was standing on it when I did this, it hurt. You should be pleased that this mat moves when you hit off of it if you're used to playing golf on the ground, which you are. The earth works in this manner.This mat might, of course, be thicker, similar to the mats at a driving range, but it would make it significantly more expensive. And those carpets continue to be less flexible than the ground. This is a fantastic product that provides my practice with excellent support and feedback as is.

(Husband's assessment) I have to drive to the driving range in order to practice my golf swing because I live in a city condo. I would periodically grab my wedge and practice some full swings on the oriental carpets in our spacious living room, which had 15-foot ceilings. I went in search of a grass mat and discovered this one because I knew this would obviously be bad for the carpet. I was a little worried about the size, but after considering logically that my golf club only bottoms out in a very limited region (a few square inches), I believed it would work. When it arrived, I was extremely happy with the quality because the turf on top is really thick, comparable to any range mat, and the bottom is made of thick foam rubber. This is not one that you will quickly tire of. Although I don't need the tee, I place it on the floor (on the carpet, so it won't move) in a spot where I can confidently take a full swing without damaging our furniture or other valuables. It works great, and even though I'm not actually striking a ball, I can still practice my swing mechanics and try out some things that I can use at the driving range. This is a solution if you have the golf itch but lack a yard to practice in. Highly advised.
