When my 4-year-old and 9-year-old both declared their love for these dry-roasted soy beans, I bought a full case. My children rarely agree on anything. A word to novices like me: each bag of edamame is roughly the size of the 10oz bag of Sun Maid raisins you commonly find at the grocery store. 4oz of edamame is enormous, like 4oz of popcorn or potato chips. The beans themselves are just as described: mildly salted and dry roasted. If you've never had them, they have a mildly vegetable-like flavor and ought to appeal to aficionados of pumpkin seeds or veggie straws. Although they are made in China, all commercial soy grown in the United States is of a GMO variety.

I wish they offered a subscribe and save option because I'm so dependent on these. In addition to helping me meet my daily protein needs, they have a significantly lower net carbohydrate impact than other nuts. In terms of protein to net carbs, it's definitely the best.I'll grant that when eaten alone, it will leave your mouth quite parched, but just keep a large cup of water close by. I like to measure up two portions for my office snack and add them to a sandwich baggie with a teaspoon of coconut oil to help the seasonings stick. After that, toss to coat the seasonings and start cooking! It's difficult to avoid eating more than two servings when presented in this way, so use restraint.Sriracha can also be added to the baggie, although that causes a mess (and soggy if left overnight).

Excellent protein snack that doesn't need to be refrigerated and is flavorful. I keep one in my day bag (since I commute a long way from home, I don't carry a large handbag), one in my glove box, and another at work. Along with chick peas, I like these. This snack has a lot of protein and fibre. To make it more edible, I would have like a little more salt, but I can deal with it.

There was only one moderately overdone package in the entire 12-pack. This consistency has been observed in all of the edamame cultivars produced by Seapoint Farms. The only truly inexpensive way to buy this is as a package deal at Amazon; $2.50 at the neighbourhood grocery store is simply too expensive for what you get. Although I wouldn't describe dry-roasted edamame as a delectable snack, I would describe it as a healthy, guilt-free dish that I can snack on anytime I feel the want to eat.
