This bathtub serves its purpose. I am 5 ft 5 inches and weigh about 130 lbs, and I can fit nicely in it. I'm sure someone bigger than me could enjoy. The fact that it is deeper than the typical bath pleases me since the warmth really surrounds you, especially if you fill it all the way up. Draining is simple as long as the spout is directed toward a drain or the bottom drain is placed over the drain. Although it's a hassle to put together, I still keep the most of the pvc in the tub because I used it frequently. To truly disassemble and store it, you can take out all the tubing.Sincerely, I would suggest this to everyone who enjoys taking occasional baths and has a bathtub! I chose to postpone writing a review after ordering this tub about a month ago. Here are my observations on the product after using it five or six times both successfully and unsuccessfully:*Yes, after you load it up, even a little bit, it REALLY IS too heavy to move. Don't make the same mistake I did and naively believe you can move it back to the closest drain when you're ready to empty. That is the path to crazy. Absolutely, it is large enough for an adult. Even though I'm a small adult (5'2"), I don't need to fill it all the way up to be completely submerged. Win-win!*In an effort to avoid flooding the living room, I have done everything in my power to locate some sort of pipe or tube system. The only solution that has so far been effective is buckets, and I'm not THAT adamant about being able to soak in front of the TV. Now it works perfectly if I just dump it into my tub/shower combo and let water flow in from the showerhead. However, MAKE SURE YOU SET IT UP WITH THE DRAIN ON THE SAME SIDE AS YOUR TUB DRAIN—I repeat—also that's where crazy lies.*This bathtub's water remains extremely hot for HOURS. This is great if you get out and return back, or if you simply forget about it for a while—not that I would do such a thing—but not so great if you mistakenly run your bath too hot to begin with. It comes with a pump that is really simple to operate and excellent for inflating but not so good for deflating. I keep it standing on the floor of my large bathroom where it may dry off between uses since I live alone. However, if you intend to set up and take down, you'll need an air mattress pump or something comparable for the deflation phase.Anyway, it's a pretty cool little soaker tub, and I'd buy it again in a heartbeat (although, technically I already did, since my original order was broken in transit and I haven't received a refund...WORTH IT THOUGH given how bad the tub in my apartment is). For the first time, I don't have to clean the tub first or worry that it will be a chilly bath in 10 minutes before I can get in the tub and soak up to my shoulders in warm water. What a great concept for a product! Easy to set up and operate I've been residing in a studio apartment without a bathtub for 17 and a half years. I can't even begin to express how great it is to be able to take a shower after all those years! That much time passed before I even considered looking to see whether something similar already existed. With the ongoing health problems and pain I've been experiencing, I finally had the idea recently to try taking a bath in a sizable plastic storage container (which is really difficult to empty without flooding my bathroom!). Then I reasoned that there must be a better approach—possibly there is such a thing as a portable tub with a real drain—out there. Searched Amazon and there it was! discovered this item. If only I had thought to look sooner! I am currently joyfully catching up on 17 and a half years of missed bathing. Additionally, this little family business offers top-notch customer service. This bad boy is the best ever, my goodness! It was a godsend to find this because I don't have a bathtub and live full-time in an RV. I have used it twice, and because it is flexible enough, I can position it in my corner shower. Although it is hard to explain, it is quite cozy. I am not a petite girl—I am 5'8" and weigh 250 pounds—but I fit in here without any trouble. Additionally, it presses on the sides as the water fills it up, which is great since the edge puffs up like pillows. Additionally, I only need to fill it halfway, and once I get inside, it precisely displaces the water so that I am sitting in water that reaches my shoulders. It is quite comfortable and requires little water. The tub sits immediately above the drain, so when I tried to let the water out, the weight of the tub didn't let the water to leave, so a little amount of it poured onto the floor. Knowing this, I can raise the tub and allow the water to drain (but I do think it would damage the tub over time). The second time, I just used a bucket to remove half of the water before being able to simply lift the tub off the drain to remove the remaining water, putting less stress on the tub itself. Bonus: I washed my porch, cleaned my toilet, and watered my plants with the tub water!

I can't rave about this soaking tub enough. It delivered easily. We were able to provide clear directions that the carrier carefully followed. It was well-packaged and came with every component a plumber may require. My husband, who is a big guy and stands at 6' tall, could even soak in it if he wanted to. The room is not quite finished. By the window, we are adding a plant stand with a fern. In terms of cost, it was among the most affordable we could find, and the quality was comparable to that of tubs costing much more.

Wow! I just had my first bath in this "ofuro." I'm awestruck. Unfortunately, I only have a modest walk-in shower in my home and I don't currently have the money to rebuild. I have a number of back problems, and I've been resting in a plastic shipping container till now (yes, really). Then stop!This is bigger than I anticipated, to start. It completely filled my shower but fit in there perfectly. My eyes are just level with the rim while I am sitting on the (padded) bottom because I am 5'6". I can sit comfortably with my legs crossed or with the bottoms of my feet touching. It was up to my armpits by the time it was just a little over halfway full. It has a small pillow and a cover with arm and head holes that zip open and shut so you can transform it into a spa. It kept warm the entire time I was in it. It was quite cozy.I put a small piece of PVC under the bottom rim because I was a little concerned that the bottom would seal over the drain, which is in the center of the shower, and I wouldn't be able to drain it. But it drained perfectly. Additionally, other people have reported a heavy stench, but I left this in my bathroom while it was closed for a few days and didn't smell anything. The pump performed as expected, and setup required no instructions and took less than 10 minutes. One thing to keep in mind is that the rim is pretty high—it nearly reaches my crotch—so getting in and out could be challenging if you are unsteady on your feet. However, the rim does squish down, and the bottom has an emergency drain.If this holds up for a few soaks, which it appears to do, I would have paid much more for it. It makes me very happy, and I'm so grateful to have a practical means to bathe my back.

I initially believed that our shower was too small to fit this, but it actually works quite perfectly! I like to take hot baths, and this tub has stood up well to that. I was shocked at how quickly it inflated—probably in less time than I expected! The drain tube is pretty thin and short, as others have noted, so I can't figure out how to use it easily. But although it fits in the shower just fine, I don't think I'll need it because I can drain without it. The water was trying to rush out of the hole when the bottom plug was opened, but it caused it to suction to the bottom of the shower, so I had to hold my fingers there to keep it open as it drained. I do wish it had been easier to drain when it was in the shower. In order to prevent the centre of the tub from sucking up the shower drain and allow the water to drain, you also had to pull it up every so often. I'm not a fan of the draining procedure so far, so I'll be experimenting with other techniques in the hopes of finding one that's simpler. Really, my only issue is that. Other than that, the tub is very durable, offers greater comfort than a standard bathtub, and can store a good amount of water.

It has been two years since I last had the chance to take a relaxing bath because my home only has a stand-up shower. I am in paradise! It astonished me how huge it was when I set it up right away. On contrast to what you receive, it appears very tiny in the photographs. I barely needed to fill it 3/4 of the way because my height is almost 5'3 and the height to my shoulders is excellent. I was worried that my stand-up shower wouldn't fit because it's so small, but it did! If you don't want to, you don't have to set up the drain in the shower because it comes with a hose. It extends easily to meet your drainage demands. I couldn't be happier with my buy. The fabric is gorgeous and beautifully colored. I don't believe I will ever fold it down. I'll be using this every day! I recently purchased some great Dr. Teals body wash with Epson salt, and I'm currently speechless. You don't have to blow it up!
