The screed seems to be of good quality and durability, in my opinion. This served its purpose effectively for me in spreading and finishing floor leveling compound. In essence, it seems to loosen the materials' surface tension and allow it to spread out. I didn't like the pole connection since you have to shove a tapered pole in and screw it in instead of using a screw-in type; this is why I didn't give it five stars. In my experience, a gauge rake was not replaced by it. As I was just putting down 1/8-1/2" of leveler, I figured this would essentially function like the gauge rake, or at the the least, it would make the leveler fully level as I was pushing it around. The floor had some mounded or depressed parts where there was too much or too little leveler, and it was too viscous, even with this screed, for it to self-correct at the end of the project using this screed (and leveler with the maximum recommended amount of water to allow it to flow). Of course, I have no idea how well a gauge rake would have suited the situation. However, I would also get a gauge rake for the first pushing and tugging if I were to attempt it again. Even though there were certain sections that were slightly taller and lower than others, the job overall worked out well for installing vinyl plank flooring.

For my most recent tile project, I made the decision to go with an off-brand. Although I had some reservations, I was pleasantly delighted. The texture is superb, and the coloration is accurate. The units do appear to have a consistent mark, which could be evidence of production stamping. It has no impact on the standard. The pulls are firmly constructed. When pulled, they do not feel flimsy. Only problem was that a few spacers and one ramp were damaged when they were delivered. Apart from that, they functioned as they ought to.

I have no idea how I tiled without these!1. Ensure that you obtain the tool. By hand, you could never get them snug enough. Keep the nut tight on the tool.2. Aim to avoid accumulating too much muck near the white leveling clip. if too much mud, won't break off far enough below tile.3. Clips will immediately come out if you kick them in the direction of the grout line.4. Take care not to overtighten the clip as this could break it.5. If necessary, use your oscillating tool to remove dried-in clips. especially under tiles if you are working in portions at once and trip over one by accident. Don't believe it will last because it won't! Take it out and put a fresh one in its place.6. To ensure proper spacing, make sure your clips are placed in tightly to the tile.7. Among other things, I couldn't resist using orange wedges to clear surplus mud from grout lines.Definitely worth the cost! For around 400sf, I used about 700 clips, and I still had plenty of wedges left over.

First off, this item is fantastic and performs much better than what HD sells. Setting them does need some patience and ability, but the results are significantly superior to those achieved without. I only needed one pack, which I thought would be sufficient, but I ran out almost halfway through. I used 8.5 x 4.25 subway tiles and used them for the shower walls with a tub. I suppose it is my fault for not anticipating how many I would require, but I simply wanted to purchase one item and be over with it. Besides, if you are remodeling your bathroom like I am, you probably have plenty of other things on your mind. I looked in both box stores after I left, and HD had them, but only for 1/16 spacing. I required 1/8. To complete the task, I ultimately had to buy them from HD, but at a MUCH higher price—three times as much. I didn't actually utilize the tool all that much, to put it bluntly (without sounding like a hole in the head). I didn't require the gadget because I'm a big, powerful guy with large hands; nevertheless, my wife did utilize it (I would not in any way look at anyone differently for using it :-)Oh, and one little point about how to install them: I discovered that occasionally the tile would shift slightly when I tightened the wedge down, so I just used a rubber mallet and a laser lever to align everything.

I don't typically take the time to answer questions such, "How did our product work?" I bought these since they seemed to be a high-quality product at the best price. I was not let down. I was more impressed. After I first ordered the spacers, I was unable to use them for some time. Therefore, I was pondering if the spacers would be a blessing or a curse as I waited for the moment when I could finally place my tile planking. It appears that many of these types of levelers can be a financial waste of money and lead to significant installation hassles based on evaluations of several other rivals' products. But this item surpassed all of my requirements and expectations! The only thing that worries me is whether I'll need to use them again in the future and merely need to buy clips instead of additional wedges. No sign that you could purchase the clips alone, without the wedges, was visible to me. Apart than that, I wholeheartedly endorse these spacer levelers. Since I am a skilled builder and handyman, I would not give the product such a favorable review if it was not what I had described.

I've never used a leveling device before, but they appear to be very effective at helping to level the floor. I discovered that the best approach to get rid of them is to hit them from the side with a rubber mallet. After the tile has dried and the clips have been removed, I've discovered that the tile mortar hardens in the hole region, and occasionally a clip leg will become caught where the wedge goes. If this happens, you'll need to grind the material out to make room for the grout. Perhaps other brand clips also experience this?

These work well for levelling floors and tiles on walls.They are substantial duty plastic, not cheap, and quite simple to use.I have not yet broken any and have actually increased my collection. In order to prevent corrosion and the dampness that a metal box would cause to the levers, I store them in plastic military crates.You may extend their lifespan by simply cleaning them after each use and storing them in a container to keep them safe.Your tools won't last if you don't take care of them.
