I'm going to stop being considered a handyman. It was so easy to use that I had to tell my wife to "look over there" while pointing in the opposite way. I took less than 60 seconds to slide the bulky orange power cord into the available slot. I sprayed water on my face and began to pant hard. I just hope she doesn't figure out how easy it was to put the cord in the cover and set it on the ground.I had no reason to cut it because the length (six feet or 1.8 meters) was just what I required out of the box. Another chance to demonstrate my abilities was lost. In order to prevent tripping, it is keeping the rope beneath a doorway with a two-inch ledge leading into the garage. I missed my opportunity to evaluate the durability. At least I know it won't sneak up on me at night and trip me.It has a more polished appearance than duct tape. Based on some of the other reviews, which I believe raised valid concerns regarding appearance and usability, I was a little hesitant about these. Fortunately, I didn't have the issues that others have. In order to conceal some speaker and network cables in my living room, I got the 25-foot brown cord cover.The cord cover had no issue laying flat for the first 15 to 20 feet or so. You can see a slight increase in the rear length where it passes beneath the entertainment center in the attached shot. Otherwise, I didn't have to do anything to get it to lay flat. To make it easier to work with, I rolled out the length, put thick books on both ends, and let it sit flat for a few days.Although I haven't used it yet, the inner section of the coil does have trouble laying flat. When I do, I'll utilize the methods that others have recommended, such as coiling it up in the opposite direction, placing it in a sink, covering it with boiling water, and then laying it down flat when it's most malleable.The color really much matched my expectations. I requested brown, and I received a lovely medium brown. As you can see, it stands out against the hardwood, but after a few days, I discovered that I had stopped noticing. I discovered that I didn't need to use any adhesive tape to keep it in place because of where I have it and the fact that it is fairly well secured at both ends. It generally remains put unless I'm struggling to move.The cord cover is no difficulty for my ILife robot vacuum cleaner; it slides easily over it without any issues, tangles, or pushing.There were two aspects about this cord cover that I didn't like. The first is that despite its width, which was narrower than I anticipated and approximately 1.5 times narrower than a regular 12-oz soda can's diameter, it can't actually carry much. With two pairs of 12-gauge speaker wires and an antenna cord, the first cord cover was completely filled, so I needed to use two of them to connect my entertainment center to my surround sound speakers. In all fairness, 12-gauge wire is somewhat thick; perhaps I could have fit them all in if I had been using the usual thin speaker cables I had previously used.Another reviewer pointed out that these are dust/lint magnets, which is the second minor concern. I have no idea where this lint comes from, but within a few hours, both cable cover lengths were covered in clear lint. Additionally, there were no children or pets living in the house, which was generally immaculate. My suspicion is that this is just regular debris that typically finds its way into a corner or underneath furniture after being blown around and entering through open windows, being tracked in from the outdoors, etc. Well, it now accumulates on these cord coverings and adheres to the rubber. Oh well, this gives me extra motivation to vacuum more frequently.I believe these are adequate overall. They are broader than I anticipated, but I should have measured them before. They don't contain exactly as much as I would want, but they perform the job with the least amount of hassle. They lay rather well where you put them and are simple to cut to length with a box cutter. You might not even require carpet tape or another type of double-sided tape, depending on where you place them. Overall, I'm happy with the product, and using this cord cover is far less expensive than hiring an expert to run these wires for me through the walls and underneath the floor.

In a middle school, I serve as the tech specialist. Over the years, I've experimented with various cord coverings to manage cords on classroom floors and in computer labs. For the price, this is the best I have yet discovered. This cable cover has a higher cord capacity than most, which is crucial for me in my position. I can "easily" run five or more ethernet cords plus a computer cart power cord, which is a little longer than the typical cpu power cord. To pass the other connections through, I cut the two side channels. Scissors worked well to cut the material. I tape down the cord cover's edges to keep it in place on the floor because it's difficult to get it to lay flat. To ensure that no residue is left on any of the surfaces, I prefer to use gaffers tape (not the cheap sort).Anyone who needs to protect more than two cords will appreciate this cord cover. One computer cart power cord and five Ethernet cords in the computer lab are all snugly accommodated by the cord cover.The only other cord cover that could handle as many cords, if not more, was made of hard plastic, but after 10 months of continual foot traffic, the top cracked.

Because I had a workstation in the middle of the room without an outlet, I purchased this. I thought this could be helpful because my robot vacuum was experiencing issues with the cord.I rolled it out and placed a few books on it, and I had no trouble getting it to stand up straight. I then trimmed it down and covered the cord.It lays flat, enhances the appearance of the space, and serves as a small ramp for my Eufy. Finally organising all of my cables and cords has made me feel so much better. I felt sick just from looking at all those cords tangled together. Since my walls are light colours, the white boxes blend in. You have the choice of threading cords entirely through one end or both ends. I made the decision to put my powerful surge protector cord through one end while the other cords were threaded through the other. Although I am aware that this cord protector was made for carpeting found in offices or other commercial settings, where the threads are looped over one another, it has performed admirably on the domestic carpets in my flat. Despite not knowing what to anticipate, I was happy! The velcro doesn't lie down completely flush and there are some spots where it bubbles up, as you can see in my photos, but I haven't had any issues with it coming away from the floor, and it has definitely reduced the chance that I'll trip over my extension chord. Even after several sessions of vacuuming over the Grip Strips, they haven't come undone or moved at all.The hook portion of a strip of industrial-strength velcro serves as the cord cover. The breadth, which was wider than the industrial-strength velcro strips one can purchase at the hardware store, pleased me and the pricing was reasonable. I thought about purchasing long strips of sturdy velcro, but it would have left me with the soft felt portion, which is useless on its own and wasn't necessary for my needs.I'm pleased with this cord protector and won't think twice about buying more if necessary. Because it was simple to trim this one into an angle to go around a corner, I prefer it to the easily available hard plastic ones (see pic). The hard plastic ones need carpet tape or adhesive strips to keep them in place because they cannot be cut and will not bend around a corner.
