Assuming you are referring to a neoprene glove with a clam shell design, such as those worn by some fishermen, the answer is yes, they are waterproof. The neoprene material is impermeable to water and the clam shell design helps to keep water out.
Are latex gloves harmful to fish? While latex gloves are not harmful to fish, it is important to remember that fish have sensitive skin. If you are going to be handling fish, it is best to use gloves that are made specifically for handling fish.
Yes, neoprene gloves are good for fishing because they provide warmth and protection from the elements. Neoprene is a synthetic rubber that is resistant to water and oil, making it ideal for fishing in both fresh and salt water. In addition, neoprene gloves provide a good grip on wet or slimy fish, making them perfect for landing your catch.
Neoprene gloves are made out of a synthetic rubber material that is water resistant. This means that they will keep your hands dry in light rain or snow, but they are not waterproof. If you need gloves that will keep your hands dry in heavy rain or snow, you will need to look for a different type of glove.

Likes: The color is nice (I bought the orange), and from what I can see, it doesn't really hinder fish. These will also be ideal for early-season bow hunts. We hunt on public land, and these with a cap satisfy their orange requirement! The pull tabs on the middle finger, which I initially thought I wouldn't like, have turned out to be the best feature. They are quite comfortable. It works really well for me to hold the fly when I'm tying. I have no problems doing this even though I fly fish a lot in the summer and hunt a lot in the winter.I absolutely love the camp design, and I've started looking for more of it because it's so stylish. No remarks on durability as I only had these for one day and utilized them right away to go fishing, however they fit wonderfully and stretch out beautifully. If you have large hands, I'd recommend buying the large, but an average man's hand will fit well in the S/M. However, I have large hands and still purchased the med/small since I don't like material bunching in my casting hand, and they fit wonderfully.Although it doesn't really matter, the packaging was also rather good, demonstrating their commitment to providing quality.

I decided to check out these gloves after purchasing a neck gaiter from the same manufacturer (Palmyth) and absolutely adoring it. A second victory These gloves have fantastic silicone grips on the palms and fingers to provide a secure grasp on my kayak paddle, are incredibly lightweight, and offer excellent sun protection (just fingernails and tips are exposed). In southwest Florida, where I conduct half-day kayak excursions on the Gulf, sun protection is essential. I can paddle in the sweltering sun for hours without wearing sunscreen if I'm wearing a wide-brimmed hat, a neck gaiter, and gloves from Palmyth. Awesome. Surprisingly, wearing the LS shirt, neck gaiter, and gloves makes paddling more comfortable. Contrary to common sense, the correct clothes can keep you cooler than nude because it shields your skin from the sun's direct rays and provides good moisture wicking. However, I digress. In the end, these are fantastic sun protection gloves for kayakers because they are lightweight, cool, and comfy. Definitely worth the cost.

These were purchased as winter running mitts/gloves, but the weather hasn't been cold enough to put them to the test. The gloves are as described and appear to have everything I would want in a mitt for trail running, including flip top fingers and a thumb (the magnet holders are a nice touch), straps on the fingers to help take the gloves off, an internal pocket to hold a hand warmer, no velcro to irritate my face when wiping my nose, being not too bulky, and appearing to be durable. They'd be the whole deal if they were waterproof!I can't say if they genuinely keep my hands warm, which is the main reason I bought them, because I haven't had an opportunity to test them out in cold weather. I guess that's why they name it Thinsulate, but the lining feels a little thin. They appear to be water-resistant, but when I tested this by getting them wet, they absorbed more water than I had anticipated. My fingers, however, remained dry. They are a touch stiff as well, but I'm hoping that with wear, they will become more flexible. I have high hopes for these gloves this winter, and they are only minor nits. For now, I'll give them a perfect five-star rating. I'll update my evaluation once I've used them in cold weather.

To go along with some additional fishing gear for cleaning fish, I bought my husband these. My observations are therefore focused on how he used the gloves. The rubberized palm surface of the gloves makes it simpler to handle the fish, and they are pleasant. It can be a little challenging to hold a live fish because of its grip and thickness. They work for my husband since he only wears them when handling dead fish. These are not the type of gloves you want if you want to avoid getting poked by knives and other objects. These are mostly for handling fish; they are not meant to protect from sharp items. Although the rubbery section can become slippery due to fish slime, these work well as an easy, straightforward glove to use while fishing.

Product arrived earlier than expected. The glove is comfortably large but still one inch too large (Medium size glove). I wish companies would produce a size Small because I have small hands. These gloves are NOT insulated, as others have noted, and will NOT keep your hands warm in the cold.Your hands WILL be free of fish scales and slime if you wear the gloves. Fish is easy to hold, and unlike other name brands, the grip surface is not sticky. Because I don't like the tacky exterior of other brands, the Palmyth brand is ideal. As seen in the product image, the index and thumb tips of both hands flip out to reveal the finger tips. This is extremely helpful while handling, tying, or utilizing fishing tackle, holding the line for casting, or using the touchscreen on a smartphone.Excellent stuff all around. Just wished a Small size glove was available.Revision: May 4, 2019I placed an order for a new pair to replace my worn-out ones and included a before-and-after photo for comparison. The glove on the right in the picture is my original pair after HEAVY and EXTENSIVE use. My new pair is on the left (left hand). As you can see, the gloves did their best to live up to their potential. Before the outer coating on the thumb and index finger started to deteriorate, it lasted around 2-3 months of HEAVY use. Excellent gloves that are very durable are the reason I got another set. When and if the Palmyth Cold Weather gloves come in a size SMALL, I'd want to give them a shot. For those of us with smaller-than-medium hands, PALMYTH should think about producing gloves in a size SMALL.

I got these mostly for use in outdoor photography. Only the thumb and forefinger's finger caps could flap back, which I found appealing. I really only needed that, and with many gloves, both the fingers and the flaps are all or nothing. They fit me well, and nothing about them seemed fragile or cheap when they were delivered. The finger flaps' fabric and snaps were both of high quality. However, the makers really means it when they say that these gloves should not be worn in temperatures below 36F. When it was just below freezing outside and I tried using them, my fingers and hand quickly became ice cold. Although they feature a thin microfleece liner, they are not at all insulated, and it almost feels like the wind soaks straight through them. This is also true with all fingers covered. You'll adore these if you're seeking for gloves for fishing, shooting, or photography at temperatures above 36F. You should go elsewhere if, like me, you were looking for something a little more insulating. If somebody from Palmyth reads this, please create a same activity glove that would keep our hands warm in colder weather!

I bought these gloves to use when washing clothes because we are off the grid (we have a wringer washer). Since it takes a while to heat water for laundry, I occasionally use cold water. Until we build an addition to our cabin, I am doing my laundry in the unheated greenhouse. Naturally, gloves are a need. I adore that they reach my elbow and that they fit me wonderfully. My hands are kept warm, but not overly warm, by these. Probably because they fit snugly. I didn't mind, though, because I wanted a set of gloves that would still allow me to have flexible fingers. Sadly, after the third use, they began to tear between the fingers. However, they may have ripped because they got trapped in the wringer as I was wringing something out. They probably function fine for duck hunting or other similar activities because I assume that the majority of people wouldn't have that issue.

I purchased these gloves in order to keep my hands warm while driving and because I needed a pair of gloves I could store in my coat pockets. The palms' non-slip design has just the right amount of texture for a secure hold on the wheel. I suffer from Raynaud's Syndrome. My hands won't produce heat on their own once they get chilly. These gloves are ideal for maintaining my hands' original temperature. With these gloves, I'm extremely impressed.

When my hands are in water, these gloves keep them fully dry. The gloves I use to wash windows in Wisconsin in the winter do a terrific job of keeping your hands entirely dry. The main drawback is that because they are a mid-weight glove, they only provide fingertip protection when the temperature goes below twenty-five degrees for roughly an hour. Well worth the cost, however if you have a problem with prolonged cold, you might want to keep a bulky pair of thermal gloves on hand. They are excellent fishing gloves as well because of their medium weight, which gives them considerably more dexterity than heavy thermal gloves. Perfect for transporting fish and reaching and leaving the shack. If they were a little bit warmer, I'd give them five stars.Remember that very few gloves at this cost will function as well in chilly, damp conditions while still enabling you to use your hands properly. They receive my highest rating of four and a half stars; they offer excellent value.
Nitrile gloves are good for fishing because they are durable and provide a good grip. They are also resistant to chemicals, so they will not be damaged by bait or fish.
There are angler gloves in Osrs! These gloves are used to protect your hands while fishing and can be very helpful in keeping your hands from getting wet and cold.
If you don't clean your fish tank regularly, the water can become polluted with harmful bacteria that can make you sick. The most common illness associated with dirty fish tanks is called "fish tank granuloma," which is a bacterial infection that can cause red, raised bumps on your skin. If you have a weakened immune system, you may be more likely to get sick from your fish tank.
You can handle trout with gloves, but it is not recommended. The best way to handle trout is by wetting your hands and gently supporting their belly.
Yes, you can hold a fish with a towel. You would wrap the towel around the fish and then hold it.
No, you don't need gloves for catfish. Some people prefer to use them because they're afraid of getting poked by the fish's fins, but if you're careful, you can avoid that.
