For the next four weeks, I must clean and bandage the wound twice a day. Drug store prices were becoming too exorbitant. Additionally, I had to cut theirs. had surgery on the very sensitive part of the face just above the eyebrow. I must take care to properly protect my wound so that I do not contract an infection. This tape sticks to my skin firmly and doesn't cause any skin damage. You might have greater success washing the area with rubbing alcohol before using tape and making sure it is totally dry before applying tape. I work in that field. Another tip is to apply light pressure to the tape once it has been applied. This results in a more reliable seal. Unexpected bonus: I'm confident the tape's creator never intended for it to be used in this way. To identify containers before storing them in the refrigerator or freezer, I use one square and a marking pen. Since the glue in most medical tapes causes an allergic reaction in my very delicate skin. I recently had surgery, and for the past month I have had to take care of my own wounds at home. They used this tape—the tan version—on me in the hospital and at my rehabilitation facility. I was given a roll of it to take home, and I now order this when I run out. My gauze remains in place thanks to its continued stickiness. It normally comes off very quickly and doesn't result in rashes on my skin. I switch out my dressings every one to two days. I only took away one rating because I believe the tan version of this tape holds up better when it gets wet. Originally, I was supposed to keep my tape in place while taking a bath and then let it air dry. This tape dissolved like toilet paper when it got wet, leaving the adhesive behind for three days. Since my wound isn't infectious and only needs protection, I'm keeping it covered and dry while I take a shower. I mistakenly believed that the white and brown micropore tapes were variations of the same tape. A little bit simpler removal of the tan tape was also seen. It is one of the best tapes I've found, aside from that. We made due with what we had even though things weren't always perfect, so I'll finish this tape. I would advise using the tan form of this tape if tape often irritates your skin. While I waited for this, I used some Johnson and Johnson's tape, which caused my skin to become irritated, itchy, and red. With this tape, I'm considerably more content and at ease.

The tape is excellent on its own. My husband's legs aren't bothered by it either. His legs, from the knee down, are covered in diabetic ulcers that can occasionally be deep, big, and extremely itchy. I keep them under control using the right medications and dressings. The tape box had totally split open and the tape was just rolling around in the box when I received my item, however, and there were no air packs inside. Even though the package is not particularly large and you would not believe it needs padding, since it contains medical goods, I think it is better to pack it carefully.

This product is by far my favorite after experimenting with other various surgical and paper tapes. It works! Everything I've ever needed it for sticks to skin, bandages, cotton, silicon, and other materials. Never had an issue before.Positives: - Extremely practical! Having it on a dispenser saves SO MUCH TIME AND ENERGY. To tear the tape cleanly may require some practice, but I think it to be more than sufficient.- Removes gently and with ease. Other paper tapes drained my skin of moisture and irritated it, however this product does not have such issues.- Breathable and soft. In my perspective, it feels much nicer than latex.- I've never observed any leftover material.- Remains stationary. I've occasionally left it on for 1-2 days, and it did not move at all.Does not dispense easily is a drawback. Since it has some stretch, using that plastic blade to tear it is not always successful. On April 2, I underwent a significant hand procedure. The mending process was going well, but not as quickly as I had hoped. My physical therapist gave me a sample of silicone sheets and advised me to try them. The silicone sheets required to be covered with a stockinette, which is impractical in the Central California summer heat and is expensive to renew. They rolled up while I slept. I looked into this product, which is a silicone tape that you apply to your scar. All you have to do is that. Similar to silicone sheets, you do need to leave it on for around 12 hours at a time, but I have no problems putting it on in the morning and wearing it while I work.You hardly even know the tape is there because it matches the color of my skin. It sticks well and rolls a little bit over the day. Although it can become moist, doing so does make the tape roll a little bit further. It is very adaptable and does not interfere with how I operate at my computer or in my workplace. I use two squares, split them in half, and get two days out of it. My scar is 4" long, the tape is perforated at 2", but that hasn't been a problem for me. A burn I had on my finger from a curling wand was likewise covered with small pieces of tape, and it healed as effectively. I haven't tried washing and using the tape again; I always use a fresh one.I have only recently started utilizing the cassette. Although I do rub the region to remove scar tissue, using this lotion has contributed to the majority of my progress. If you have a scar, I absolutely suggest trying Cica Tape; it's pretty magical.Update:. The scar is still fading. The shot on the left was taken on August 2, 2018, which is exactly 4 months and 2 weeks after the operation.

First off, don't be a hero; contact 911 if in doubt.Now that we have that out of the way, let's talk about these tiny guys. They helped me patch up two knife wounds that were about 1/4 and 1/2 inch wide. Make sure the surface is dry before placing them, use more than you think is necessary, and leave no more space between them than the width of the strip. If you require stitches, use these instead. If it's a little border line cut, this will keep it closed for a while. especially if you aren't in a setting where you may obtain sutures, like while you're out hunting, etc. Overall, a fantastic small tool that comes in handy.To keep them sterile, don't open them before using them.
You can use sticky tape as a bandage in a pinch, but it's not the best option. Sticky tape can irritate the skin and it's not as breathable as a traditional bandage, so it's not ideal for long-term wear. If you do need to use sticky tape as a bandage, be sure to put a layer of something else, like gauze, between the tape and your skin.
Tape can help hold a bandage in place and keep it from slipping, but it won't necessarily speed up healing. In fact, if the tape is applied too tightly, it can actually impede blood flow and delay healing.
If the wound is bleeding, hold a clean cloth against the wound to help stop the bleeding. If it is a big or deep wound, seek medical attention. If the bleeding has stopped, gently clean the wound with a mild soap and cool water. Apply an antibiotic ointment to a bandage before securing it.
Cloth tape and paper tape are not the same. Cloth tape is made of a woven fabric that is coated with an adhesive. Paper tape is made of paper that is coated with an adhesive.
