The aprons are fine; they fit well and appear to be identical to the OEM versions; nevertheless, it will be necessary to wait until they are exposed to the elements in order to confirm this. The clips, on the other hand, weren't very fantastic; one broke, and there aren't any extras. They work okay on top, where the metal is thinner, but when they attach to the frame at the bottom, they don't secure and are easily taken out again.

According to the labelling and essentially OEM quality and fit, the right fender liner was made in Taiwan. All holes lined up, even those in the bumper cover, and the material was somewhat thick. I had to extend the left one a little to make it fit because it was made of thinner, lower-quality plastic, the holes didn't line up with the bumper cover, and other issues. If I didn't reside in Jamaica, I would have returned it. I would have given it five stars if the left and right were of same quality, but alas, it's not OEM, so zipties it is.

I frequently work on my cars, and even though I try to be careful, sometimes I make a mistake and drop a tool, my extended hose clamp tool flies out from under a large hose and hits my fender, or on a chilly day my power tool (heat gun) cord rubs the fender, leaving scratches that I need to polish out.I've been using the fender cover my wife gave me as a birthday present for a while now. appears to function as promised. The locking rings required some getting used to, but once I realized that I could simply turn the entire tube to lock and unlock, everything went smoothly. I absolutely enjoy removing the prop rod and raising the hood to its highest setting. I ought to have acquired this long ago. If I were to make a change, I might give it a little more texture so that when my hands are slick, I can still hold it and twist it. But it actually does.The tubing is pretty thin, so if you periodically need to rest the hood down on it and you dent the tube, it becomes increasingly difficult to slip the inner tubes through the dent(s) in the outer one. This is the only other issue I discovered with prolonged use. I didn't anticipate this.

This bundle sounded like a decent deal because I needed a fender mat. It has a good-sized front mat. The side mats are too tiny for my requirements. After looking both locally and online for a fender cover/protector for my 1987 El Camino, I decided to give this set a try because, for roughly the same price as other fender protectorsââŹâor lessââŹâyou get a three piece set for coverage all around the engine bay without having to move a single cover to whichever side you're working from. Although I didn't expect strong magnets at this price, they were stronger than I had anticipated and powerful enough to hold the covers in place, however they might not stay put if the cover were tugged or moved in opposition to them. (If this bothers you, adding some reasonably priced, stronger magnets would be simple.) This isn't really a problem, though, as the attached hooks allow for a secure attachment of the covers to a variety of locations along the engine bay's sides (hinges, hood bumpers, sheet metal edges, etc.). Despite the fact that the hooks are merely plastic, I don't think they would break under regular, normal use. If they did, though, it would be simple to fix by making a new hook out of solid copper wire or a coat hanger. The thickness and thinness of the material seem to be about average compared to most other lower-end comparable products. The interior of the cover that is in contact with the paint appears adequate for the task, though not luxurious, and doesn't appear to be likely to scratch the paint finish. The side panels are the same size as the majority of comparable items, and when combined with the longer front panel that is included, practically the whole front of the car is covered, with the exception of a few inches at the corners that won't be rubbed against anyhow.Overall, a nice product for the price; a device with greater durability would cost MUCH MORE. Since it is a three piece set, moving the cover around the engine compartment may be done without having to stop and do so.
