I had been using the NYX brow palette for a while, but I wanted to obtain a more defined brow, especially because my brows become patchier as I age. I initially didn't like the effect the medium brown gave off since they felt too dark and "drawn on." The change is huge after I saw a Facebook video on how to correctly apply brow pencil. I now adore how my eyebrows appear.how I use:1) Brush all of my brow hairs up with the spoolie.2) Using the pencil, lightly trace a line down the bottom of my eyebrow.3) Draw distinct lines in the direction of the hair, still using the pencil's sharp edge (starting at the bottom and sweeping up). Start off sparingly, then go back and fill in any gaps that remain.4) Draw a second, thin line along the top of my eyebrow.5) Blend the pencil lines by brushing the brow hairs upward one more.6) Retouch any spots that need more pencil.On my next order, I will attempt the soft brown because I still have a sneaking suspicion that the medium brown will be too dark for me.Update February 2019: My original pencil finally ran out after several months of use, so I had to buy a new one. This time, I chose the soft brown (previously had the medium brown). It is a little lighter and has a reddish undertone, which complements my auburn hair well! Wow, I'm really excited! This honestly looks gorgeous with my hair! I had given up hope of ever discovering an eyebrow pencil in a red-brown shade that truly matched the color of my hair, but NYX did it! I appreciate NYX!It's true that I have red-copper hair, and that this pencil is more light auburn than coppery (hints of orange, for example), but it is still a true red-brown. It appears entirely natural, and it's the greatest colour I've yet discovered. Good quality, too; it applies effortlessly, which is crucial because I don't want to spend more than two minutes on my brows; the only grooming they receive is when I pencil in color and use the blending brush on the other end. Keeps going all day, although I can't vouch for it withstanding a strenuous workout or a day at the beach. I'm unsure of how long it will last because I have to twist the pencil every time I use it (never had to do that before), but if I just use it for a month, that's fine because the price is reasonable.

This Loreal eyebrow pencil is AMAZING! I like to fill in the sparse areas of my thick brows to give me a more professional appearance. Anastasia Dipbrow was an earlier product I used, but I found this pencil to be much easier to work with. My eyebrows are black, and I have brown hair. I've used both dark and brunette shades. Both have done a decent job, although I think the Dark Brunette shade looks better on my cool-toned face and brows. The pencil itself applies well, and I've never experienced a broken tip. highly suggestableETA: I've included a picture to show how Dark Brunette and Brunette look in daylight. The Brunette shade is at the bottom, followed by the Dark Brunette shade. You can clearly see how much warmer the brunette hue is; someone with red hair or complexion with a warmer undertone would look amazing in it. Both colors have a lot of pigment and may be built up.

Although I'm a reluctant user of eyebrow pencil, I started to notice that the outside portions of my brows were getting noticeably lighter as I aged. This is the simplest pencil and powder to use after trying half a dozen others. The final brush is crucial. In order to soften the lines and mix the color throughout my eyebrow area, I can make a few strokes in the basic outline I'm attempting to accomplish, fill in a little, and then take the brush and stroke it downward and upward across my eyebrow. It's quite easy to use after a little practice, which is crucial to me because I don't want to bother! Until I take a shower, my eyebrows remain dark. Although that appears to be the current trend and I believe this pencil would also work well for that method, I'm not using it to make precisely delineated, extremely dark brows; instead, I'm using it to add just a tiny hint of darker color.

I adore this stuff to death. This material is a component of my "bare minimum" makeup look! Even if I don't fill in my brows at all, I still use it. This substance can be applied thinly enough that I won't feel it but thickly enough to keep the hairs in the desired location till I remove it. I don't have any additional wax or residue, and it doesn't smell or have a tint; it just stays on till I take it off. I seem to get compliments on my brow shape more than anything else, so I take it quite seriously. I've included a photo of how my brows appeared after applying the gel but before applying any cosmetics. Nothing else of this quality at this pricing range is available.

When I first unscrewed the wunderbrow product, I assumed it would apply like lip gloss because of the consistency, but it didn't! To make sure I had the perfect shape and was filling in properly, I first brushed my brows with the provided bristle before actually lining below them with my standard "MAC Spiked pencil." I skipped using the supplied applicator. I started with little strokes and applied a little paint with a small, angled brush. To my amazement, it applied somewhat like powder. And it appears natural, just as my pencil would.I'm not certain if waterproof... I haven't tried that, but when you swipe your finger over it, it doesn't smear.

For more than a year, I have been hunting for eyebrow makeup that is the right tint. My hair is a dark brown color that falls in between regular brown and black. Other makeup is almost always either black or an uncomfortable shade of brown, which makes it noticeable that you are wearing makeup. The remaining time was spent combining other products, which ended up costing as least as much as I had anticipated. I would then, without fail, rub those products off during the day (and I have a few bald spots on my brows-specifically the tails are extremely thin and make my eyebrows look hella-pointy.. and no body wants that).Before making my purchase, I read a lot of reviews. Many of them recommended using very little product, and I wholeheartedly agree. Also as advised, I applied with a stiff angle brush (which allowed me more control) and then lightly swept mascara brush through it. Some reviewers point out that it won't stay to skin without hair in their comments. This was true when I applied it with the provided wand, but after using my own angle brush, I was able to get it to stick once it dried. Additionally, I read reviews claiming that it is goopy, stiff, and uncomfortable. If you use too much, it will feel this way. Since this material differs from other gels, powders, etc., it will probably take some practice to get it perfect.I didn't even cover all of my eyebrows when I applied it in the photo attached; instead, I simply covered the areas where I don't have hair. In all honesty, it's hard to tell where I have hair and where I don't. The only way to truly rub it off is to rub so vigorously that you also remove your own eyebrow hair. It is wonderful for me because I tend to touch my face during the day and have relatively oily skin. In search of the greatest makeup solutions that would not only look natural but also last all day because I'm getting married in June. This one will definitely be kept. If they ever stop producing it, I'll weep.I also included a current photo of how my eyebrows would have appeared without makeup so that the difference could be seen.
