A faint, pleasant cucumber aroma that does not persist permeates the product. It doesn't leave a greasy or sticky residue on my skin and absorbs fairly quickly. I've been using this for almost a year; it kills the bags, but you must be careful not to use too much or it will flake. Once it is opened, it also dries out and won't work as well. I'm not sure whether the tube is the solution; it seems wasteful given how difficult it is to extract the last bit of it.
