BBE 482i Sonic Maximizer Review:

If you are familiar with the BBE procedure, you are aware that it primarily "brightens" and clarifies the higher end of an instrument's sound. This processor performs admirably, much like every previous BBE processor I've used. There are essentially only two warnings I need to make: First off, it's simple to overuse the BBE processing, so I recommend starting at the lower levels and figuring out what your ears can handle. You might need to adjust the settings in various rooms if you're taking this on the road and to performances. Second, I've discovered (as has been the case with other BBEs) that the overall volume may be slightly lower if you connect two instruments to the processor than it would be if you put it straight into an amp. On these occasions, the processor appears to have a little output stumbling block. Still, a good purchase.

Aphex Exciter Rack Mount Exciter Processor Review:

You can use the Exciter alone without an EQ; I just had the EQ already and figured I leave it there. It's still helpful; it depends on your style and type of music, speakers, etc. I've had this item in my system for a while now, maybe 6 months at least, and it was a nice addition. It's easy to use because of the Knobs, unlike sliders on an EQ, which I also have in my system.I called the company at first to get an idea of the adjustments and connections since I am using an AVR pre outs - this is a home audio system - they were very nice and helpful and once I adjusted it as they advised - I noticed a huge difference with the bass. With my current speakers and the room I have them in, I needed to address mids and highs and tone down the low end and thicken the bass, which the Exicter did nicely - and its easy to experimentI have had no issues or problems with it. I have my system connected with all 1/4 connectors and the EB tech line level to even out the signal since I am using an AVR. The EQ, QSC Amp, and Exciter are all pro-ac products.I would suggest it if you want to customize the sound to your preferences. Since no sound will be perfect for everyone, some processing will be necessary. In my case, it made a nice improvement for a reasonable price and was simple to use.Update on Review: Since removing the EQ from the mix, the Exciter works much better on its own. I advise sticking to the Exciter in your home system.

BBE 282iX Desktop Sonic Maximizer with Balanced 3-Pin XLR Connections Review:

Small portable PA systems now support BBE technology. I would not perform a concert without a BBE in the PA rack, and I now enjoy the additional sonic dimension provided by my smaller portable PA system. I use a BBE in the final mix in my studio. When properly configured, this excellent product will give a new dimension to the output, enhancing the clarity, dynamics, and overall cool "surround" sound!

Kickport Bass Drum Heads (DSKP2BL) Review:

Sounds great, and installation was quite easy. I recently purchased a used Yamaha drum kit with a solid kick res head because I'm a guitarist learning the drums. I installed this kickport so I could more easily mic the kick. It comes with a ring that you just adhere to the desired location on the res head, trace with a hobby knife to create a flawless hole, and then insert the kick port. installation only took five minutes. It gives the kick a lot more oomf.

Behringer Rack Mount Exciter Processor (SX3040 V2) Review:

The final component in our broadcast audio chain is the SX3040. The audio quality difference is astounding. The audio sounds "flat" and lacks the music's sparkle and depth when the SX3040 is taken out of the broadcast. This kind of equipment is actually great for the price. To put it mildly, it enhances our broadcast significantly. You won't likely ever listen to music the same way again, even if you're only playing MP3s at home, after you experience the difference.
