To run cat5e and other low voltage cable throughout our home, I purchased this equipment.-Sturdy and constructed using high-quality materials-Etched measurements on the tape make it easy to know where you are in the wall. -Plastic tip is helpful for connecting wires so they don't come off the tape while running. -The plastic tip will snap off if it is snagged very nicely. -Study and won't get stuck because the tape is strong. This prevents the tip from breaking, which is why I think it's a good thing. The tip will just reattach itself if this occurs.Cons: This is more of a personal complaint, however it does not instantly eliminate my nightmare about running cat5e through walls.

I purchased the wire loop tool that attaches to the fish tape via holes in either end of the 40 foot version (twisted steel coated in green plastic). We were able to do this successfully by hopping over and around metal studs while fishing through the 1.5" space between the ceiling and the floor above. The fish tape in question is excellent value for the money. With the amount of power we applied to lift Romex 14-3 up a wall and into the ceiling, fiberglass fish tape would have snapped. 50 lb or so of force was used.Be aware that this is coiled up and takes on a helix shape when released. To get the parts 10 feet from either end nearly absolutely straight, we spent about 10 minutes straightening them. This allowed us to hit the holes on the other side of the room on the first try.

fantastic design Pull off the outer back cover and place it to the side after removing the nut, nylon washer, and bolt. Then, while holding the front cover plate in one hand and the other inner plate in the other, unscrew them in a clockwise manner (the screw is left hand threaded). Over the square shaft, place the wire tie roll. Screw the inner plate and front cover plate back on by going counterclockwise. Reinstall the nut, nylon washer, and bolt after placing this assembly into the outer back cover. Avoid overtightening.

In my basement, I used this to fish some speak wire.I definitely could have done without the first 100 feet of it since I'm not a pro. Leaving that aside, the product was shipped and does as it is supposed to.The enclosure is made of durable plastic, and the fish tape is flexible but firm enough to push aside insulation, among other things. Fishing and winding were straightforward and simple to control.Use gloves when handling the spool because it is naturally lightly lubricated.So far, I'm very pleased with the purchase, especially considering the cost.

A local area network cable had to be dragged from the smart TV to the router. Router is located around the corner on the wall, above the TV on the wall. Between is chimney things. Utilized three fiberglass pull rod lengths, which I pulled into the outlet behind the TV and up toward the attic. I entered the attic and found the rod's end. Pulling the cable back to the TV outlet box after using the cable lasso to fasten the cable's end. Then, after following the same procedure to remove the rods from the router's wall box, go up to the attic and fasten the other end of the cable to the end of the rods. Simple as pie. 20 minutes. The wall is without holes. For this puller, there are a lot of different occupations!

I utilized this fantastic fishing rod to clean up my neighborhood lakes, hook bobbers out of trees, and cast a line in the water. I don't have to be concerned about breaking my fishing pole if I wish to try to pull a lure out of a tree or fishing line out of the water because it stretches to approximately 6 feet, about the length of my fishing pole. I pulled approximately five bobbers, a swimbait, a damaged fishing pole, and about 100 yards of fishing line on my first use. I was immediately tempted to sell my fish tape when I learned about these rods. I couldn't do it, so it now rests in the back of my workbench's bottom shelf.This allows pulling cables through void walls, through insulation, or around obstacles relatively quick and easy. I never cease to be in awe of how much more effective and efficient the rods are when compared to traditional fish tape.I've completed a number of bigger projects, including pulling all of the telecom and electrical cable for two sizable conference rooms. Neither could have been simpler or faster. The rods (even at 30 feet) effortlessly slipped right by and kept going where my tape previously got snagged in the insulation or couldn't "find" its way around a joist or electrical box. I'll be purchasing more in the future for sporadic, even longer runs.These could only be improved by being phosphorescent when turned off, in my opinion. Certainly not a deal-breaker, and there are others that are, even though they are more expensive.

I've been working on a project at my home that involves connecting speaker wiring through the existing walls. I have six surround sound speakers and four above speakers going. Since the walls are insulated, it has been particularly difficult. This fish tape is excellent! It is rigid enough to push over challenging terrain while remaining straight and flexible enough to maneuver around corners or other obstacles. In order to run wires, I also purchased a fish rod, but I've discovered that the tape works much better for my purposes. I gave the rod a shot before simply switching to the tape. I have successfully run numerous wires with this device thus far.Some folks are upset that it jams up when retracting or releasing. It has occasionally felt a touch snug, but as long as I followed the instructions, there hasn't been a problem. It has been completely unwound and rewound several times without any problems.

These are really well constructed, and because each component is 1 foot long, they can be simply linked together while, in my case, locating a channel for wiring. On a 2012 Honda Civic Hybrid, I used these to locate clear lanes and run cable for a rearview camera and other ADAS systems. Although they bend, they are strong enough not to break upon coming to a halt. They hold put thanks to some torque and fine threads. In many circumstances, finding no passage points is equally as significant and opening, and these accomplish their job brilliantly.
To chase a wall for TV cables, start by finding the studs in the wall using a stud finder. Then, use a drill to make holes in the wall at the studs.
