After foolishly squandering money on cables and adapters (and buying the incorrect adapter for the cable, derp!) I found these and they are just what I needed. Man, I wish I had caught them sooner. I can't guarantee that a video snob who demands super 4K or whatever will be satisfied. But when I connect my PC to two 1080p monitors, I don't see any difference in video quality.I tried using my TV as a monitor by connecting my PC to it, but there was no sound! Perhaps not all PCs have separate graphic and sound cards, but mine do. The TV lacked an audio input, so I had to run a separate audio wire. I utilized external speakers as a simple solution, however if you're trying to use a similar setup, you could need an audio wire and/or extra speakers.

I connected my Surface Pro 2 to my UO laser projector using this tiny displayport to HDMI cable. The Bluetooth option is available, but the Surface Pro series' Bluetooth connectivity has a history of problems. Fortunately, the Bluetooth option also includes a tiny displayport. This dongle's small factor with an HDMI conversion enables practically ubiquitous use. While I only used my projector to test the accessory, my PC at home has a tiny displayport that I can use to connect a second HDMI interface. The design of a short dongle makes it easier to discern between the many different corded connections in my computer-based weaponry, while also improving travel possibilities. There are many products on Amazon that are similar to this one, but I chose this one and am not at all sorry I did.

The second item I bought was compatible with my Surface Pro 2. I checked the 1920x1080 resolution of both the VGA and HDMI connections. As it should, the HDMI also carried audio. I wouldn't think twice about purchasing this item again. My letter to Ugreen on the issues with my first unit was answered satisfactorily. Refunds were never a problem because Amazon handled them immediately. The fact that the manufacturer or seller reacted is encouraging, so I won't think twice about making another purchase from them.Display Problem (Updated): When I swipe the Start screen on my Surface Pro 2, the display occasionally develops a razor-sharp line that cuts across the screen with both VGA and HDMI external connections. This is unimportant and barely perceptible. I have duplicate mode selected on the external screens. This issue is unrelated to the UGreen adaptor because it was visible there using Microsoft's display connectors. When the external display is in expanded mode, the issue is not present.Original Assessment Since my Surface Pro 2 did not support HDMI or VGA, I was forced to return the computer. I visited the neighborhood Microsoft store to see which is awful with my tablet and the Ugreen. Using their converters, my tablet was able to connect to their external display. I have currently given this review two stars because the product appeared to be well-made, the connections appeared to be secure, and I assume I was handed a lemon. Not sure if I should try another product or make another purchase? It would be helpful if Ugreen could remark and confirm.

You need this if you want to connect an older HP PC to a modern monitor. We purchased a usedThe reliable HP 8300 is a common sight in hospitals. It does not, however, have an HDMI output.Instead, it has a Display Port, therefore you'll need to purchase this connection in order to drive an HDMI-equipped monitor. That will result in the highest display quality. This product appears and feels sturdy, and it functioned without any bother or muss straight immediately, but that's to be expected from a cable. Since I've only had it for a week, I can't speak to its durability, but I still think this cable is great.

—I've got it for quite some time. It does not cast video in high resolution. When you attempt, "choppy, jerky," etc., appear on your TV. As far as I know, this kind of equipment doesn't yet support 1080p resolution. Once more, don't take the casting advertising at face value. Although it can be unpredictable, 720p often casts. Generally speaking, the likelihood of a successful cast increases with the size and resoluteness of the video.First, don't believe everything you see in advertising about projecting content from your computer or media device to your TV. If your device only has an HDMI connector, you can still connect it to an electrical outlet using a longer USB cable if you have a regular USB power supply.The scope? Consider the earlier years when "portable" phones were first invented. You risk losing the signal if you leave the room or stand close to a source of "noise" like a refrigerator, room heater, or hair dryer. The general rule is to stay still and within 20 feet of your TV.The setup is simple, however there are no manuals included; only what is seen on the screen.
