Iams Proactive Health Adult Minichunks Dry Dog Food Chicken Review:

I've been feeding my dog Iams for several years. He is 8 years old and has experienced no health issues at all. The price point is decent in comparison to other similar items. I am a fan of the "mini chunks" even though my dog is well over 50lbs and has no problem swallowing a chicken bone whole if he wanted to. There isn't much more to say about this product without extensive knowledge of dog food ingredients, but i went to their site and got a full description of them which i find acceptable since the first ingredient is chicken, followed by several others that I know to be healthy and safe.

Purina ONE SmartBlend Natural Adult Dry Dog Food Review:

We previously fed our dogs a much more expensive grain-free dog food, but in light of recent research which has linked high doses of peas and other legumes with heart disease in dogs (specifically, Dilated Cardiomyopathy), we checked the labels on our "high end" dog food and found peas and potatoes were some of the first ingredients. We spent quite a while studying the ingredients in many, many other dog foods and found that most of them either had high volumes of either peas or potatoes. Some had huge amounts of corn as filler and still others contained the generic ingredient "bone meal" with no mention of the bone meal's source (ie: chicken, beef, etc). This, we learned to our horror, can mean the food is made with rendered domestic pets, diseased animals, etc. It was not easy to find a food that wasn't loaded with corn and/or legumes or wasn't made with that generic, non specific "bone meal". We found two dog foods that met our criteria: Purina One Smartblend Natural Formula and Dick Van Patten's Natural Balance Limited Ingredient Diet Lamb Meal and Brown Rice. We routinely feed our dogs one or the other of these two foods and sometimes mix them for variety. Since we've switched, our dogs still have the same energy level, still have shiny healthy coats, are still maintaining a healthy weight and they really like both of these varieties of foods. It seems to be a win-win. We feel more comfortable with this food choice for our dogs and our dogs are very happy with the taste.

Blue Buffalo Life Protection Formula Small Breed Dog Food – Natural Dry Dog Food for Adult Dogs – Chicken and Brown Rice – 15 lb. Bag Review:

I have and older Chihuahua with itchy skin and a lot of stomach issues. Over the last couple years we have tried several foods to help her that were recommended (and sold) at the veterinarians office. None of them helped and some even made her issues worse.

I was apprehensive to try Blue Buffalo because some prior recalls but was also desperate to find something to help my little pup. I took the chance and transitioned her to the small breed chicken and rice life protection formula and she has been doing great! She no longer itches and has no more tummy troubles. Her coat even looks shinier.

I have also introduced her to several other Blue Buffalo products (treats, wet food, etc.) and she has handled them very well. Overall she seems much happier and healthier which is what we all want for our furry friends.

Iams Proactive Health Large Breed Adult Dry Dog Food - Chicken Review:

This dog food was a complete game changer for our two sweet rescues (when I say that, I mean that THEY rescued ME, not the other way around). Both our dogs suffered terribly from skin issues for years, to the point of being bald from their shoulders back EVERY summer. We knew it wasn't fleas(they were on monthly treatments from the vet) and, after treatment after treatment for their skin, we were told to change their food. We choose Iams because of the brand's reputation and price point. After ONE month of them eating it, BOTH of them had stopped itching and biting their fur and it had begun to grow back! Now, a year later, they have beautiful, healthy skin and coats! The biggest test was when the weather started to warm up and it was the first summer neither of them chewed themselves bald! Their coats were, and still are, beautiful and we owe it all to Iams! I suggest this food to anyone whose dog has a skin condition, because it changed the lives of our doggies forever!

Rachael Ray Nutrish Natural Premium Dry Dog Food Review:

My dogs really enjoy this food. First of all I have two very different dogs, an 80lb pitbull and a 20lb mini pin/Chihuahua mix. They both love this food.

If you are on the fence about a dog food, like I was, maybe this will sway you in the right direction.I would love to have an unlimited budget for them, but like most people. We all have a limit, I really can't justify those $60+ bags plus the wet dog food, treats, grooming.

If you're looking for an affordable, good for your dog, food. This is it.

The actual food is pretty small kibble, so keep that in mind if you're switching over from a bigger kibble. My dog got so excited she took a couple bigger bites, than she was to. Obviously if you're dog is a bit smarter, this isn't an issue. But if you have a hungry puppy, like me, and you're switching from large to small kibble, it's something to take note of the first time you feed them.

My only reasons for a 4star rating would be the bags are not resealable. This might be an issue for some but it's worth mentioning in case you don't own some sort of dog food containers.

Taste of the Wild High Protein Real Meat Recipe Dry Dog Food with Real Smoked Salmon Review:

I fed my dogs the cheaper dog food for years. I had no idea that the food I was feeding them was substandard at best. I feel fortunate that neither dog has been sick with anything connected to their diet because I do know that some people aren't so lucky.

Searching online for information about dog food that is a better quality, I started to hear things about Taste of the Wild so I decided to check the company and their product out. I didn't have to go very far past the ingredient label to know that this is the food that I should try first.

Now, I have a 13 year old Siberian Husky that is one of the pickiest eating dogs on the planet. She will even turn her nose up at potato chips when they are occasionally offered to her. She picks the meaty looking chunks out of the dog food that they used to eat and eats those first. I had to start buying smaller bags of dog food because if the bag had been opened for a while, she would refuse to eat it. I always jokingly say she likes her dogfood like a lot of people like their seafood, as fresh as they can get it.

My other dog is a simple idiot. He eats chicken poop and just about anything else that he can fit into his mouth including wood, her fur when she sheds and my flowers out front. Needless to say he is not a picky eater. I wasn't concerned with him not liking it but I was a bit worried what she would think.

We went ahead and ordered our first bag of this dogfood. It was delivered on time just like Amazon always does and so we started the transistion from the old to the new by subtracting a bit more of the old with the new every day until they were finally completely switched over. They LOVE this food. Both of them. Even little Miss Picky.

It got to the point where they were both actually eating AROUND the old food and leaving it in the bowl. This made me extremely happy because I know that the Taste of the Wild food is MUCH better for them.

There is no grain in this food. The ingredients are simple and everyone should be familiar with them. It actually smells good and doesn't have that mealy look to it like the cheaper brands that are full of corn and soy.

Neither dog has had any bathroom issues which I know is a concern for some people that are worried that there isn't any fiber in the food because it doesn't contain grain. That's what the veggie material is for. Veggies have fiber. I promise! You dog will have no problems pooping while eating this food because of lack of fiber.

This is our new dog food for our two monsters. They are both healthy, happy and both seem to have a bit more energy. Their coats look good and I'm happy with the results.

Hill's Science Diet Dry Dog Food, Adult, Large Breeds, Chicken & Barley Recipe Review:

This dog food is absolutely amazing, I can recommend it to anyone. It's expensive compared to your generic brands, and I understand that it might not fit into every dog lover's budget, but if you can afford it you will truly see the difference

We have two big dogs eating Hill's exclusively for the last year and a half. The change to their coats and stool (strange to most maybe but yes, I track it) is amazing. Really, really amazing! Our 13 year old German Sheppard has colors back that I haven't seen for years

On another note, having these 40 lbs bags dropped off at my door step instead of having to drive to th ed store myself is a very nice plus. I do feel bad for the UPS guy, but I hope he will understand
