At this price, this is not handcrafted. It is manufactured by a machine and lacks the uniformity of a hand-made product. It tastes wonderful and has the correct flavor because I cooked it before adding the broth to the dish I was making. It weighs ten pounds and is absurdly large. But compared to other pearl couscous, it is affordable. (Expensive compared to pasta produced by machines nevertheless.) Its American manufacturing is a major plus.

I've long been a great lover of "ordinary" couscous. My father recently suggested that I try Israeli couscous. I searched Amazon after being unable to find it at the two grocery stores I frequently visit and discovered this item.Sautéing some onions, garlic, zucchini, mushrooms, sliced tomatoes, etc., is one of my go-to quick meals. I'll prepare a cup of couscous, fluff it up, and add it to the vegetables after that mixture is cooking in its sauce. I took exactly the same action when I had this Israeli couscous for the first time.The Israeli couscous has slightly more extensive directions than the standard variety. It needs to be browned or toasted, followed by the addition of boiling water and simmered. With the ordinary couscous, I simply bring the water to a boil, add the couscous, remove off the heat, and cover the pan. I prepared this food according to the directions exactly, and before I added it to the vegetable mixture, I thought I would sample a bite of it on its own. To my taste, it was still undercooked. The middle was still a touch stiff. However, I had no fears because I knew it would absorb more liquid when I put it to my vegetables.The dish came out fantastic, and even though the larger couscous seemed unusual at first, I really liked it. The leftover Israeli couscous had soaked up even more of the liquid the following day, the pieces growing more bloated and soft. Overall really good but may need more water and longer cooking time than stated in the instructions. I am eager to use this product more extensively.

Now that my two darling children have grown up and still enjoy couscous, we must purchase the greatest possible variety because the males enjoy cooking. This brand of couscous is significantly more substantial and flavorful than the typical store brands. For the best flavor, thoroughly prepare it, add salt and butter to serve, and you're set to go. Alternately, create something more complex. Any recipe can withstand this brand!

My partner and I adore this product. If you follow the directions on the box, it is simple to make, takes less than 20 minutes, and always turns out perfectly. I shudder to imagine how much I will ultimately spend for this at my neighborhood grocery store. It's too dang much, is all I can say. It's a bonus that I can purchase a 4-pack. I like that I can purchase this from Amazon.This couscous is a brand I enjoy. Even though it's kind of stupid to say, I enjoy it. However, I wouldn't recommend strictly adhering to the instructions if this is your first time attempting it. Always add a little additional water to prevent it from becoming overly dry. Avoid going overboard or it will get soggy or mushy, but also avoid using a 1:1 ratio. My final ratio is typically 1couscous:1.15–1.25 water. It could be that I'm preparing it on a range top, but whatever. Just remember to add a little more water the next time if your initial batch is a little dry because it significantly alters the texture, which is a key component of flavor.Any entrée that calls for rice as a side dish would work just as well with this without causing half the fuss (consider that, as if making rice is "fussy" that's how simple this stuff is). Similar to quinoa, it also works well in cold salads. It's actually just a few little pasta grains, therefore it must be starch. But you can make it go with just about any food you choose to serve it with by using a little olive oil (instead of butter) and some herbs or spices.

In order to receive the free shipping, I purchased this to add to my Prime Pantry box. It was a no-brainer because it was exactly the same price as at my neighborhood WalMart and an item I frequently buy.Consider little pasta. like how salt is sized. With semolina, you can pretty much make anything you want. Examine the recipes posted online. Additionally, this food cooks quickly and is convenient. Add this to boiling water. 5 minutes should pass after covering.

I microwaved the water and packet in a medium glass microwave-safe container for one minute, added the couscous, covered the container with a plate, and let it set for five minutes. If you wish to, you can also add a shake of olive oil. It's a tasty and excellent side dish for any meal, not just chicken, and as easy and quickly to prepare as it is, you may customize it with additions. But in all honesty, we eat it plain. You can roast some meat, chicken, or fish and use this side dish together with a salad if you don't want to go out or want to save money by not going out.
