I hardly ever write reviews, but I felt compelled to for this product. After experimenting with a few different products that were either too small for larger padded mailers and newspaper circular ads or too large and would interfere with my vehicles, I decided to buy the Snail Sakk to hang on the inside of my garage door mail slot. I had my doubts about whether this product would be able to securely keep the bulkier mail or whether the sides would protrude when the letter was pushed through the slot. To my astonishment, the SAKK, which had been holding several days' worth of mail, quickly accepts the mail. The sack remained very firmly connected to the garage door even when the door was being raised and lowered with a full load inside. No danger of falling. Installing it took less than five minutes and didn't require drilling any holes in the door. It is simple to remove for washing if desired. Since I don't own any pets, I can't comment on pet resistance. I hope they are still available if I ever need to replace it because I anticipate it lasting for many years.

I enjoy having a mail slot in my front door because it eliminates the risk of someone stealing my personal or financial information from an outdoor mailbox or post office box. Mail and tiny items had to fall quite a distance because my mail slot is very high on the door (approximately three-quarters of the way up). A draft from the slot would also frequently be felt as I passed the door. Both of those issues were resolved with this product!I was worried that the hook attaching tape wouldn't adhere tightly enough because the door had some moulding elements close to the slot. I used a small pair of scissors to cut tiny lines into the tape after I had applied it to the door so that it would stick to the uneven surfaces. I am really happy with the outcome.It is such a relief to pass that door without stumbling into a pile of letters and periodicals on the floor.

Beautiful finishing, good build. Through a plaster wall into my garage, I installed it. Since I really wanted the mail to get in more readily, I simply bent the hinge axle and removed the inside flap door. When measuring, make sure you provide enough space for the 4 corner holes to line up if you are drilling through stucco (I had to fiddle with it, but that was my poor skill). If you want it to fit tightly, make plans to visit the hardware shop to purchase shorter screws or washers. This isn't a defect in my opinion because they can't possible make hardware for every application. Mine appears fantastic!

My home is 100 years old, and the ancient wooden entrance has a mail slot. In the winter, cold air BLEEDS through it, and little can be done to stop it. I started looking for an antique-style wire cage to place inside the entrance to catch the mail rather than having it flood the floor. Obviously, it doesn't offer any actual insulating benefit, but I can definitely tell a difference.In conclusion, if you are thinking about buying this, I would highly recommend it!
