So these accomplish my goals exactly... Blocking out dead bolt holes was accomplished nicely, but might be improved.Every maintenance/storage closet in the apartment complex that I manage is secured with deadbolts and standard doorknobs. They might be slightly more secure, but when you neglect to go back and lock them up, they become completely unsecure. Therefore, I am replacing every knob with identically keyed storage room locks. reduces missing items and makes my key ring lighter. The only thing I wish they had, even after installing it, was some serration or points on the outer disk to stop someone from simply turning them out with a hammer and chisel.

One of those items you ought to own.NEWS 01/15/19:I now understand that I didn't complete the re-keying as I had hoped and that there were too many erroneous keys. I rekeyed all the locks to the extra keys using the tool. One key can now open all the locks, which reduces the number of keys I need to carry.It was simple. The first thing you need to know is that this gadget connects to your lock via bluetooth, just like your phone does. As part of a complete home renovation, I am building my own maple door jambs to replace the cheap luan hollow core doors with solid maple door slabs. The door knob holes can be easily drilled with the help of this jig. You only need to make a little pencil mark on the edge of the door where you want the knob to be centered because the jig includes a small window on one of the corners. The arrow window (there is also a small circular window) is then lined up and secured.The clamp is dependable and safe. My cordless drill was used to quickly cut the door through using the hole saws that were provided. I haven't had to swap them out yet. I still have a lot more doors to hang after having already hung seven.I use a large flat head screwdriver to pry out the wood core to aid in the interchange of bits after cutting the larger one initially. I next turn the drill backward, insert the screwdriver into a slot in the hole saw, securely hold it in place, and slowly start the drill. By doing this, the hole saw bit is easily removed from the arbor and becomes free. And even though the bit is hot, your hands won't get burned. Bit removal is simple if you repeat the process after using the small bit.I did discover, though, that removing the smaller piece once or twice during the cut makes it function best. It doesn't evacuate saw dust as effectively as the bigger one does.Additionally, when using the larger bit, make sure you cut through the door on one side nearly all the way before switching to the other side and at least scoring through the door slightly. This will stop the other side of the door from being chipped out. You may initially believe that the clamp's knob is in the way, but if you wriggle the bit in there, it will fit. I just make a little first cut—about 1/8"—before returning to the original side to complete the cut. This, I discovered, avoids the formation of any ridges where the two cuts converge (but not a big deal even so).The only thing keeping me from giving it five stars is the fact that every time I use it, I find a small amount of black plastic shavings in the jig's guide hole. I'm concerned that eventually it won't be dependable since the guidance hole might get too big. I've already used it seven times, though, so if I need to buy another, I will.
